2013 vs 2019

Battlefield 4 still holds a special place in my heart. Played that game a lot.

No idea why people are getting their pants in a twist here. Comparisons between two similar games are always great because it shows how different game studios accomplish the same things like graphics, animation, sounds, etc. Screw the haters.

While modern warfare looks great, I feel like it still falls short to battlefield when it comes to atmosphere. In battlefield, the constant changing of the map with the destruction along with ambient gunfire/vehicle combat really makes it feel like an all out war.

Comparing bf4 graphics to cod mw graphics just shows how far battlefield was ahead of its time back then

Battlefield 4 still looks better to me, after playing the MW beta. BF3 and 4 were too far ahead of their time but DICE really screwed up both games, BF4 nearly died because DICE Sweden were so arrogant.

The thing developers forget is that we gamers find it more fun to play a realistic game than a graphical one. Ofc it's nice to have some good scenery here and there but you don't have to add overwhelming textures and lighting everywhere

God, there was something so special about the gunplay in bf4. Every kill was just so satisfying. We need another modern battlefield.

It’s honestly amazing to see how even battlefield 3 can hold up to most games in 2019

I have a bit to say. First of all kudos to Modern Warfare and Activision. About time COD do it's thing👍🏾. Doubt it's better than the frostbite engine that Battlefield uses. Loved COD up to Modern Warfare 2 and won't jump ship to leave behind Dice's sound quality, destructive environment, graphics, lighting and somewhat realism for this game. Don't get me wrong I will put hours into this game. Looks good! We all have preference(s) and for me I prefer what Battlefield has going on. Can't cry over these two companies not meeting our demands if I don't understand the full scope of what is really behind the scenes into making these AAA shooters. Some things like under budget, investors, and deadlines. All I can say to both Call of Duty and Battlefield is thank you for the rivalry, community and hours of entertainment. Happy gaming. Peace.

Don't try.. every game has its unique gameplay and graphics.. i played battlefield 4 until i reach level 140 and i loved it also bf1 and V.. at the same time i played cod ww2 and bo 4 and i loved them.. and now i preorderd COD MW because no doubt it will be a masterpiece game.. for me.. every game got it positives and negatives.. and i think that COD MW is getting back to its right direction

Call of Duty ps4 version, Battlefield 4 pc version, nice

One small detail I would like to point out is how your comparing bf4 (pc) and cod (ps4) small but might want to redo this to show it on the same platform. Also both are great games! I used to ram my jet into helicopters and cod mw is definitely a breath of fresh air.

bf4 will always be the best fps large scale combat game for me even if modern warfare is a newer game. better visuals doesnt make a game better. the experience bf4 brought was more immersive and all around fun. i enjoyed the large destruction in battlefield, the class abilities, the customization of various weapons, amount of vehicles, etc. im excited for the new mw game, dont get me wrong. battlefield was just a game that met my needs and wants of a game.

It's surprisingly how cod mw looks 100 times better that bf5 but it looks similar to bf4, and bf4 looks better than mw in some way. When you see that bf4 is out in 2013, bf5 in 2018 and mw in 2019. I don't know why dice destroying the series from year in year but I hope they will wake up and continue to make bf game like bf3 and bf4 are.

I love battlefield 4 melee battles you can counter enemy when your facing them when they try to hand to hand you even in real game speed it's very realistic watching your buddy knive fight with a guy while you try and line up a shoot is so visceral to me plus I play hardcore mode

BF4 looks pretty good for its time, but MWR wraps circles around it when it comes to lighting and textures. Audio quality can be debated tho.

the destructible environments is why i will ALWAYS love battlefield. It makes the gameplay more immersive and fun since no environment will ever be alike.
