god, reload animations in old games just make me so happy on a level I can’t really describe. maybe it’s a nostalgic thing but I mainly think it’s the kind of light, floaty motions the character makes that are just so mesmerising to me. but it’s also incredible to see how reload animations get better and more detailed over the years. either way, I love this

@@ImtherealJules cod wwii garnered a lot of backlash for the historical accuracy (and general design of) the weapons. Among other things, in a bizarre design choice, guns that were top-loading had scopes that extended over the top of the breach, and then featuring reloads where a clip is impossibly squeezed underneath the scope.
TheRD a lot of WW2 soldiers were just everyday people that went through very minimal training. In MW it makes more sense since the characters are meant to be experienced fighters so it makes sense that there’s no tactical reloads
Mohammed Khan What he’s saying is the content creator didn’t include ALL of the animations, just the empty mag animations. The game has some different animations for partial mag (tactical) reloads.
World at War is still the only COD game I’ve played where every single weapon has its own unique firing sound. The reloading sounds are almost unique for each weapon as well. The sound design of this game was immaculate in my opinion.
It’s a shame that a game from 2008 knew that you couldn’t reload scoped rifles with stripper clips due to the scope being in the way unlike a certain game from 2017 *cough* COD WWII *cough*
@@hdexotic1914 ahh yes its not like we can have the clip ACTUALLY clip through the scope in real life 😒 . without scopes you can load stripper clips perfectly but with the scopes being *RIGHT ON TOP OF THE DAMN AREA WHERE YOU NEED TO RELOAD* you cant use stripper clips since you would have to angle it but EVEN THAT WOULDNT WORK Since It Wouldn't Fit So Thats Why We Reload One Bullet In This Game Smfh. get your history book and read World War 1 And 2 Before Saying something COMPLETELY STUPID AND UNTRUE.
I agree with everything except the sounds, to me the WAW Gunsounds and ambience is the closest to real life COD has gotten in years more so with the most recentnadditions.

Because WAW came out back when the COD devs actually cared about making a high quality COD instead of a cash grab that they slowly patch into a playable game.
The garand is interesting because the developers designed the chamber of it to appear altered (broken) by the player, allowing it to be reloaded without having to fire the entire clip. It became a little feature that only appeared in WAW
It's funny how they managed to get the Scoped kark98k reload accurate in this game. But on the WW2 version they needed the player base to fucking shove the wrong ass reload they implemented in the game and then fix it in a patch.
Half of the sledgehammer team left in the middle of ww2 development and joined 2K. The mosin which had the accurate reload was made by the other half which stayed
I mean that’s pretty much the point, fits the overall aggressive and creepy atmosphere they were going for. In a game about the deadliest conflict in history I think it’s really fitting.
Origins Was Remastered In Bo3 And Well I Think You Already Know About Bo4 And Its You Know *EXCESSIVE REMAKES* . But I Agree That World At War And Black Operations 2 (Without The Constant Copy Paste That Shits Dumb) Sbould Be Remastered
