This is a MUST VIEW for starting players, they typically only "enhance" economy through expansion, which dilutes armies, lowers morale by expansion penalty and usually results in more casualties and thus reinvestment in production of battle units is required, and at the end they are fading away against more experienced players, or players expanding less aggressively.
This strategy and stance on this comment is much more different than ones on Reddit. Well people are actually split into two sides. One is that offense is the best defense and the other is that defense is the best offense. But Reddit sided with the offense more. Early game aggression though, from day 2-4 can pay off more than industry when industry takes time to take off. Also they’ll probably tell how good players can get like 30-100 points a day which definitely feeds into the idea but you should play at whatever pace is manageable for you and that is secure.
@@saosaqii5807 agreeing that early aggression and solid expansion is key to a good economy as long as you can sustain it. You need to subdue 4 players to equal fully industrialized cores, the latter requiring at least 4-5 days. Now one starters often forget to reasearch (or too much) AND construct corresponding production facilities, and so in a lean way (but not too lean so that it is onesided)
I would call myself a seasoned player but because i didnt play regularly I never really used a strategy other than conquering and more conquering just sustaining my army through the won ressources. Now i can actually try to play a game and have a solid strategy... a really good, helpful, interesting and well presented video, I must say
You should make videos on different strategies, like medium tank spam, militia with artillery, planes with light tanks, armoured cars with light tanks etc. and explain the pros and cons of each
You could spam Tank destroyer better than Mediums cause they cost less and in fact are better than Mediums at countering Mediums they just need Infantry units to support them.
@@joshephlark2733 Good advice, especially as a comment on an economy video. A good way to involve that in a larger strategy, ACs and TDs are a great balance, especially if you intend to have a strong Airforce or Navy. MP will be the ultimate resource to manage regardless to air/sea. MTs are meant for cutting through lines, but most players lack patience so adding arty to a stack or as a trailer is a great way to taunt players to make an attack.
1: Expansion early is always better than investing in industry early but it’s also riskier against good enemies. 2: if you’re gonna expand early don’t bother with industry. Just build a bigger army. Once you settle down then you build industry since it takes time for industry to take off and they’re pretty expensive too. 3: industry in cities is usually still better than rural provinces because it also boost your money production much more. But rural province gives faster resource production earlier since it only needs 3 lvls. 4: If you’re not expanding as much you can rush max lvl industry in 3-4 of your cities by day 5-6 with the help of stock market.
Here is my strategy: 1- With my army that I just started the game with, I go on conquest agains many countries. 2- I build barracks, then tank factories, then I build my industry. 3- With the resources that I gained from the conquests, I would re-build my army again. 4- Until all of that is done, my industries are built, and I can produce on my own. Tried this strategy as Germany, Ukraine, and Russia. Became the largest economy in the server very quickly, and after a few days, I was 1st in economy and military by a margin in the servers. I mean like the difference between me and 2nd place are like 30-40%
Just started playing this game and you've explained things so well that I think I may have a chance at actually figuring it all out lol thank you! Subscribed and looking forward to more videos! :)
I always found a few issues that i would have thought CoW would fix. Here we go 1) resources are still to low 2) manpower output still to low 3) upgrading the economy doesnt yield enough returns for time and resources spent 4) roads. Why? I would have thought they would fix this. As to make them visible on the map, and increase economy and manpower. 5) propaganda should have multi functions as well 6) defences should yield some moral benefits as well as AA capabilities 7) Defences should have upgrades were static Artillery would be included, coastal defenses such as bombardment as well as AA. 8) more troops. Basically keeps us engaged at moving more units around. I just find there is not enough units. 9) cap gold use per game. Im a gold user, but would welcome a max out per match. Ill still spend, but being it down a few notches 10) 2 day inactivity is too long, and curb the multi accounting. I played a 22 player game with one dude with 5 countries 11) tech costs are to high, and CoW should randomize what players can access in technology and when. (Spice it up) 12) random ingame bonuses and prizes. . Again spice it up. 13) defense troops and offense troops, and economy. Set different budgets for each could be interesting Side note: ports and airports should also yield resources and manpower I would add power stations and radar as well. Thanks for reading
1. low resources make the game more challenging and incite the use of gold which is what Bytro wants. 2. manpower output is easily solved with recruitment offices and expanding. If you just sit there in defense than you'll struggle big time. 3. It does actually, watch the math behind it in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FtPmvNZZkjA.htmlsi=3gwxr5XkUW2X8wJb 4. If you expand you need roads so that you can double the speed of your units. This way they can reach the front fast and you can retreat fast to your core provinces when you are under attack. 5. There's little need for propaganda offices. I almost never make them, unless I move my capital outside my cores of course. They are a waste of resources in my opinion. 6. No need, forts have good stats for what they cost. Just produce AA. 7. Bytro is thinking about making coastal batteries a possibility. 8. There are a lot of units as it is. Most players barely know or use them all and they aren't able to use the terrain or micro manage. If you would add more units into the mix it might become counterproductive. 9. This has been proposed a lot but Bytro doesn't want it as it would cut their revenue. 10. Yes, Bytro should be have a more proactive support. It takes way too long to get help. They shouldn't lower the 2 day inactivity to go AI. Otherwise players will leave games even more easily. That would be the opposite of what we want. 11. The tech is not that expensive, if it would be cheaper and there would be more resources like you proposed in your first point then the game would be too easy. The price of technology becomes more expensive as the game continue's which makes totally sense. 12. That's what they are doing with the operations now, wouldn't you think? 13. I don't know what you mean? There are already defensive and offensive unit types and economical options like industry, recruitment centres and propaganda offices. 14. Radar has been proposed a lot and is on Bytro's idea list. I don't know about power stations though. Not a big fan of it though as they would be one of the first targets for bombers. Overall it sounds that you are struggling with the economy part of the game. Instead of wanting to change the game to your needs you might just want to take the time to understand and master it.
@BMfoxCallofWar ok. Fair enough. I do tend to be more cautious in expanding and tend to fortify before moving on to the next conquest. Economically, I'm usually maxed out lol. So not sure what more I could do. I could learn more about the stock market. I likely have to many idle troops left behind for defense. Thus why in late game I'm struggling. But by then I'm usually a bloated giant haha. You seem to be suggesting I expand faster and be less static. You are very likely correct 😀
@@mossion Stop fortifying. You want to start attacking ASAP. Preferably on day 1 already. Attack small AI or inactive players. If you can attack an inactive player before day 4 then you'll get half his money. Take 3 capitals ASAP so that your province morale and resource production is at 100%. Try to play more aggressive, each city that you take gives you 2.5k resources. That's great to sponsor the war effort. Just try to lose as less units as possible by using tanks and ranged units. Protect your airspace with interceptors and your coast with subs or naval bombers.
@BMfoxCallofWar oh like I said I do do that I may leave to many troops behind defending Chalk it up to paranoia I've invaded so many players that basically have nothing in their countries 😅 So I just move in and go province to province with nada defense
Actually even better is to build only industry in the cities of which resource you need the most. Usually I do oil, metal and rares. In the goods and food cities I start building recruitment stations right of the bat. The earlier you build them the more resources that you can save up.
I tried this strategy once with each doctrine. Here is how it worked out for me. With allied, it turned out poorly. Allied is slow, so they need a lot of vehicles to make up for it, but it's hard to build them if resources are tied up elsewhere. That's why when I play as an allied nation, I start by building up recruiting centers, then trading/raiding for the necessary resources. I start building production centers once the price of food rises. I then export my food and import resources to build up production centers. The exception to this is British Odishia. I try to make it to the next day with that country. On the other hand, the strategy worked great when I played as a nation of the pan-Asian doctrine. Pan Asian nations are fine starting with infantry, artillery, and AC, leaving plenty of resources for production centers. On Day 1, I had both more territory and more resource production than anyone else. Axis worked pretty well with this strategy. They rely heavily on armored cars and tanks early game but it's balanced out by Motorized infantry. I will be tweaking your strategy for Axis just a bit in the future. I don't think ordinance is very helpful for axis early game. They need to move fast, and ordinance slows them down. That changes when they have self-propelled anti-air. Last but not least, Comintern. It works fine with the caveat that having rocket artillery takes rare minerals away from resource production. It's a shame. Rocket artillery is so intense, but with enough infantry, anti-air, artillery, and armored cars, Comintern can hold its own on day one and build up resource production. Anyway, that's my experience.
People think Im using gold as China in historic because I'll have 300 troops on day 8 then I explain to them my economy is maxxed and I'm making like 1k of everything a hour and am mostly spamming cheep fast build units
Everything is situational in every game. How good is your enemy? Do you ally you neighbour or attack? What units does he make? How aggressive does he play? Instead of serving you a standard menu, I'd like to teach you the different ingredients and how to cook so that you can prepare your own meals. However, I'll share a build order for each doctrine, but it will take a long time to record and edit.
@@BMfoxCallofWar we made the same units I was axis so I took only those troops which had advantages like motorized infantry and medium tanks as well as artillery and anti tank as well as anti air for defense. My enemy captured 3 countries ( 2 player sized countries 1 NPC country) in 3 days . He made a lot of motorized troops and militia I could ahve fought with him . But got surrounded from france though I did have good defense there I got outplayed by France since I had gooten good troopsin our land border but he psuhed from water and I got destroyed. ( I was Spain fighting against ALgerian African continent in Europe map ) ( Also France was a gold spender he had around 20 additional militia troops.
@@BMfoxCallofWar Please share build of Axis doctorine , with Artillery , Anti Tank , Anti Air, submarine and motorized infantry as main massproduced units.
@@liveluckyking4788 When I share my build orders it will be with the units that I would like and not with yours. Mass production isn't necessarily a good thing.
I wish there would be servers without Gold or Boost cards. So if you (or your enemy) build/recruit stupid and have no more resources/troops, you have no more resources/troops.
I have a question. Can captured provinces produce the same amount of resources as our core provinces? All I got are just captured provinces with 3k(-+) cap resources production while my core provinces could get into 10k(-+) production.
@@BMfoxCallofWar my bad, I skipped to the last part of the video and I understand non-core provinces only produces 25%, but can we get non-core provinces become 100% like our core provinces? Well I probably have the answer in my head but still wanted some confirmation from veterans.
Hello, question sir, do i also build industry in core provinces without given resources?; Provinces that only give money and manpower but no resource? Thank you 😁
Expand your economy by warfare. Try to lose as less units as possible as each unit represents resources and manpower that are lost when your unit is killed.
Local industry is very good, there are only 3 levels and they increase your production to 200%. So if you need a lot of rare materials for example than building local industry in your rare material rural province is a solid move.
You should never build industry in non core territory. They only produce at 25% so it's not an interesting investment. Core provinces are 4 times more efficient.
If you build industry in your resource core provinces they will also increase the money production. You can enhance cashflow also by conquest and taking capitals to enhance province morale.
I think you guys should just switch from a f2p model and charge a subscription, I would totally pay for it. The game is the best historical strategy on Android and PC of its kind, but the gold just puts a massive damper on it.
yeah I ragequit the ww1 variant of this game Supremacy 1914, because some dude spend over about €100 to counter my invasion. It was a whale fight first, because I also spended about €50 when I realised he was buying units with real life money. But It wasn't worth it for me to spend even more then the already crazy amount. Never again this bs lol. This also witholds me from playing this ww2 variant Call of War. Wish there was another game without pay to win that are similair (with real time warfare that takes months to finish)
haha ... The word Interesting doesnt mean what you think it means. It doesnt mean GOOD or Beneficial or Useful ... Interesting Definition & Meaning: engaging or exciting and holding the attention or curiosity: an interesting book. arousing a feeling of interest: an interesting face.
@@p.i.arriyanraju11b12Build propaganda offices to increase your production rate and morale in late game, The better the moral the more the resources and the less the chance of rebellions
Local industry only upgrades to level 3 and industry in cities to level 5. You should build both as fast as you can to level 3 and finally max out industry in your cities.
Where did you get all that gold from? Clearly another pay to win specialist here... how can you have level 5 Industry after 4 days when the first level takes 15hours to build and it takes even longer the higher the level.
No gold use here, skill and gold are often confused. The reason that I have a lot of gold is because I never use in the first place 😜 I've actually made a video "how to get gold for free" so I recommend that you watch it. Years of victory pay out, events, achievements and gold adds add up. Also as a moderator and a RU-vidr you are part of the Bytro partner program where you receive Premium Account and monthly gold for free. I has level 5 industry early on because my build in that particular game didn't require any oil, steel or rare materials and I expanded fast. So I had an abondance of resources to invest in my economy.
Just be a man about it and continue to play. I've learned the most from my biggest defeats. You can't restart, this is a real time game. You either play it until the end or you abandon. But if you abandon a game than it sucks for the other players. You'll turn AI eventually and that's boring for the remaining players.
