I have had Calla-A for several years in 8/27/4. When I got her, I didn’t like her at all so back in the box she went. At that time, I was only dabbling in wearing a wig. Flash forward to more hair loss and wearing helper hair became a necessity. So I dug poor little Calla out of the box and wore her to work one day. I was talking age with one of my male clients and he was complaining about being old (I think he was in his early 50’s). I said you’re still a baby, I’m 72. He said “You’re not old, you’re hot!” Made my day! I think I’ll be wearing Calla more now, especially after watching this video! 😊 Keep up the great reviews, Coco! Blessings. Cecilia

Hi Sandy! Calla is one of my favorite summer wigs! I have her in 14/26A. She has held up great. You can really get some lift on her if you want. I always get complements when I wear her. Thanks for showing her in the grey color! I may have to get a new one! Have a good week!

Great review...great ideas (especially like what you did with the hot air brush). I have Calla (as in calla lilly?) in silver starlet. Have you ever had a wig that you put on 1 day and love, then another day wonder what on earth you were thinking? Calla is like that for me. Guess I'm just not " shaggy" some days. Lol.

Another great review. I have Calla in blond color. Haven't worn her yet. Needed a light wig for work as I wear a headset for 8 hours daily at work. I haven't been able to style her yet. You gave me so many tips . Thanks. I will try this week. You are absolutely amazing. ❤

Hey Sandy! I love your wig reviews, the only thing is that when I buy a wig you’ve reviewed I have to have it in a dark color. Blonde is NOT my color. But I noticed one thing about the wigs that I get, they are different. The fibers on your wigs seem to be lighter than the fibers on mine. I got the Phoebe wig and I can’t get it to do the same things that you could! I can’t get it to fluff up. I like a lot of volume and it just won’t work on the one I got. I’m thinking that maybe the color has something to do with it???
Hi Martie! I think you might be right with your guessing about the fibers being different in different colors. I've even ordered duplicate wigs and the fibers have been different! I have found that in these cases, I just return the wig and reorder another one a little later (a month or two) because it could be a batch problem from the factory. I know it's a pain, but that usually solves the problem. Have you tried doing that? Hugs, Coco

It seems like the 1- and 2-star reviews on the PY website are from 2020, so they must have fixed whatever problem there was because this is adorable. I'm thinking of using it to go into fall, actually. I might go a shade darker than usual for the winter. I usually wear pecan delight but I'm thinking of caramelized brown. I'm growing my bio hair out and need a transition from pixie to medium curlable topper.

If there is not as much white, is there more silver? does it read warm or cool..in your video it reads warm. also what kind of hot air brush do you use? I love JS wigs..the lace and size fits me great. I am a petite, and do cinch them in. TIA for answers and all you do!!
This still registers cool, but instead of being as bright white/silver, it was looking a bit grayer (but still cool). I love JS wigs, too, Such nice construction and comfort along with a good price point! Thanks again for watching and sharing! Hugs, Coco
Hi Coco! Love this style, but the dark root looks harsh for me. Reminds me of Freedom by Godiva Secret Wigs. I’ll check other colors although gray is my go to. Thank you! 11:10

Hi. It looks so cute when you spray it with water. What happens when it dries? Does it stay the way you fixed it? I have this exact wig but I never got it to look as cute as you did.

Great review as always and i usually love shag wigs, but there just seems to be something "off" about this one...i am not sure what it is...i think the bang being kinda weird or the long nape...i do like the stays in the nape as i wish others had that so it would hug my neck and not flip up...😂 you look great in it but i think i would pass on it...something is just not balanced on it...😊Too much "bang for the buck" as they say! Lol! I do have a hot airbrush but i think maybe her layers are too long on top to give me the look i want.❤
She's definitely another version of a popular cut/style. A bit shorter on top and longer at the nape. This girl will look good on some people and not on others for the exact reasons you stated! Why are you not shaping the wig like it was shown parted on the left and bangs across the forehead? It doesn’t look spikey in the brochure pic but razor cut. I like the wig as it’s originally styled. But that’s my preference and I’d get it in the Wildflower color which I think would look more natural.
Hi Lauren! I went back and looked at my video and I do style her parted on the left and bangs across the forehead from 3:44 - 6:03. But as you can see, there is not very much to the bangs at all--they're wispy at best and uneven. I also curl the bangs with my hot air brush so that they lay better across the forehead at 10:49. I think what makes it not look like the picture in the catalog is the fact that this wig is cut shorter than what we see in the picture. The hair on the front, top and crown is definitely shorter and doesn't lay down. I also know this because this particular wig has been the 4th edition of Calla that I have ordered and received. The first one I received and she looked great, just like the picture. But I didn't care for her and sent her back. That was 3 years ago and at that time I wasn't making videos. So when I began making videos, I ordered her again (almost 2 years ago!). She was so short I could see through the wefts and returned her right away. I waited 6 more months and reordered her. She came the exact same way. So I decided wait again, and order her again. This is her. She's shorter than the first one I received and she didn't seem to have the length that would lay her down. I'm sorry that you were disappointed in my review. Hopefully you have been able to receive a version of her in the exact style and more natural color than I was able to get. It’s a thinner, shorter all the way around except at the nape. I would recommend watching this video again and then watch my freedom video right after it and that way, you can see very clearly the differences. I hope this helps! And thanks so much for watching. Hugs, Coco
