I've been scouring the internet for reviews of Londyn. I think you're the first! The downside of this brand is the lack of dynamic brunette choices. Interestingly enough, I printed out photos of this wig to give to my stylist when it was time for a haircut Thanks for your usual thorough review.
I ordered her as quickly as I saw her and was hoping to do the review before now but my lack of voice interfered and I had to wait til my it came back a little!! I totally agree! They need someone to introduce more blends of brunettes. Those are my colors of choice and it's really hard to find one I really like except when they introduce their "special colors" like Caramel Bourbon, Tuscany Toast, etc. That helps, but not in choosing a standard wig style. I had sworn off Paula Young wigs forever after having to send back due to poor quality…and then I saw this video. Many times I can see the wefting even in reviews. I took a chance and bought this in the same color that you demonstrate it in and it’s fabulous. It’s comfortable, lightweight, pretty color, I just gave it a cold soak. I love the fact that you can wear it tucked behind your ear and smoothed down or fluff it up. It’s a perfect shaggy style. Thank you for your great reviews!

You are ADORABLE! You have such a great attitude towards life Sandy! I'm listening to you in March 31,2023. I sure hope your sore throat went away quickly after this video. I'm still deciding on what wig to get as I'm in Florida and it's SO HUMID AND I DON'T DRIVE so it gets very hot and wet when walking!!! I have Jackyn Smith' s Kris. Haven't done anything yet with her. Ordered the water mister and blow dry iron. Not sure if I can get it all together, lol. Kris is a GREAT wig for being a longer wig--she's going to be lighter than Juno or Easton. Plus you don't have to worry about the wefts showing on Kris! JS does a great job of making sure they're covered, but also her colors are rooted, which makes a big difference in seeing those wefts! Have fun with her! ~ Sandie

Her catalog pic looks "helmety" to me, but you softened her up--good job with that 🙂. And I love that we couldn't see wefts! I'm convinced it's because the wefts are BLACK, therefore they "disappear". GSW Silverstone wigs have white wefts, and 2 different people confided they could see my wefts on Alana---once when the wind was blowing, and another time I had it pulled back from my face with clips and she could see wefts as I sat by the window's bright light. So I proceeded to get a black permanent marker and "paint" each individual weft ---it took 2 hours, but it worked! Now the wefts are invisible when the wind blows...but I sure wish ALL gray wigs came with black insides. PS: have you gargled with warm salt water yet? 😉

Yes, those white wigs show the wefts so much easier and that's why I like the darker roots/caps. Good for you coloring your wefts! That does take a lot of work!!! But it's certainly worth it, especially if you like wearing white wigs! I just watched The Crazy Wig Lady's video on 12 pixies today and she says the same thing about white wigs and their showing the wefts easier. So we are all on the right page!!! Hi Jean! I purchased her a long time ago (before I had my channel) in Silver Starlet and returned her. It was early in my wig journey and hadn't transitioned to shorter hairstyles yet. Then I purchased her this summer to review and she was cut so much shorter than my first one and the cap was so small that I returned her without a review. Then just last month I ordered her again in AubSugRooted and she was cut so sparingly and again, the cap was small. So I just am returning her today because I didn't want to deal with a fail in my videos. I want my viewers to see what they can do with a wig that's close to what it should be. But it still is important for my viewers to know that I am experiencing some quality control issues with JS/PY, too. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it! I love this. I am having trouble figuring out which wig is best. I have always had short but thick hair. Menopause ruined the texture and now my hair is thinning terribly. Even some pixies seem like too much hair. You can pull off every style. I love PY wigs but I guess I need to break out of my comfort zone.
Hi Terryann! PY makes so many different kinds of wigs, I would think that you should be able to find a wig to suit your needs. And finding the right one is probably going to take some trial and error; buying and returning, and lots of coaxing of each wig to see if they will suit you. When I first began my wig-wearing journey, I just didn't bother doing anything with my own bio hair except let it grow and trim it. 70-year old hair is very thin, super fine, kinky in some areas and not in others and the color is unpredictable and dull. So I just started purchasing what I could, and if I didn't like the way it looked, I took note(too full/long on top, etc) and then began reading the descriptions with the measurements. I kept a record of each wig and its measurements and what I liked/disliked about it so that I could read about the others and make the best decision until I found the one(s) that I liked best. Now it's much simpler to figure out if a wig is going to be one I'll like or not. I hope this helps you even just a little bit. But don't give up!!! Coco, I’m relatively new to wigs and I’m loving it. I’m looking to purchase something from the Paula Young collection but I’m having a hard time choosing between Cerese, Londyn, and Calla. They seem pretty similar shags to me. Can you please tell me what seems to be the main differences between them (not including the colors). P.S. Can you please tell me more about the shaping tool you use (brand, temperature)? I’m really nervous about using any heating tools. Also, where can I get square bands?
Hi Barbara! Cerese, Londyn and Calla are really pretty different. The thing they have in common is that they're all a version of a shag cut (lots of layers). The biggest difference is the overall length. I would recommend that you take a tape measure or ruler and compare all the lengths that they show in their descriptions to how those lengths will lay on your head & neck. The biggest difference will be in the nape, front, side & top measurements. Calla is the shortest with lots of shorter layers all on the top. Londyn is next as a short layered bob and her layers begin around the cheek-nape area. Then Cerese is longest in the nape and has shorter layers all around the sides & back, making her feel a little fuller overall. But you'll be able to see how long the fibers will be if you use a tape measure and lay those measurements on your own head. I would say that although Ryan's measurements are longer on the top and crown, Londyn feels overall longer because of the longer measurements at the bang, sides and the nape. Here are both their measurements: Here are Londyn's measurements:; 5" Front; 4.5" Top; 4.5" Crown; 5.75" Sides; 4.25" Upper Back; 3.75" Nape. Wt: 2.6 oz. Here are Ryan's measurements: 4.25" Front, 4.75" Top; 4.75" Crown; 4.25" Sides; 4.25" Upper Back; 3.25" Nape. Wt: 2.3 oz.

Hi Sandy! I just adore my new Londyn, so I purchased another one! I hope you see this message, because I'm on the fence about whether or not to send them back. I don't leave my home often, so I can't say I'm an experienced wig wearer (I'm going to start wearing them everyday around the house so I can build my confidence). My ear tabs and coverage is a little smaller than my other wigs to the point that I keep checking to make sure my wig is pulled down enough. I'm sure that it is due to my inexperience, but did you find that your Londyn's coverage was a little bit smaller also? Just how much difference is there between an average and a large? Do you find that some wigs just require a bigger size? My measurements are very similar to yours with the exception of my circumference which is a tad smaller... Thanks in advance if you get a chance to answer!
Hi Kathryn! Yes, I know exactly what you're talking about! I do find that 1) PY Avg size pixie wigs can have less coverage and 2) the ear tabs are smaller. In a size large cap, the shorter wigs fit better, have a little more hair and cover more of my hairline. A size large definitely makes me feel more confident and looks more natural on me. But not all wigs come in a size large, do they? You might try a size large if the wig you want is available in it. Or what I would do is order both a large and an average to try both on and compare. Then send the other one back. I love wearing shorter wigs, especially bixies, but it's difficult if there's not enough coverage. Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Good luck to you! It says on the Paula Young website that the fibers are Whisper Lite on Londyn…so I think they have changed the fiber type! I don’t care for Whisper Lite!

Londyn is available only as part of Paula, Young’s Euro line. In this line, they only offer six colors, which are all rooted. So it’s going to be limited. That’s the same for Paula Young’s Versafiber, or heat-friendly fiber line. There’s only six colors offered there as well. Don’t exactly know why it’s limited, but it is. Thanks so much for watching!
