Different from my normal videos but I had to do this to help people! The 360 era was a massive part of my childhood, sorry for the bad mic! Note: About the code part, a lot of people have been saying that the backwards compatible games that you have codes for will work past the 29th, which makes sense (you just can't redeem them on the 360)! Even so check your codes anyway! Some of the games codes you have, may not be for backwards compatible games, so either or it's still something you should try! I went through my entire collection a few nights ago and found a munch of codes that had never been used! These were games I bought used from GameStop or other game stores, thrift stores, flea markets, etc. No one had ever used them! Crazy!
Thats what I mean! Some people assume they're already used when buying them preowned they trade hands for years until someone like you tries them and finds out, damn they haven't been used! Good on you mate honestly get anything cool?
@@TheFullGamePhantom I found the Alan Wake the Signal DLC, LA Noire Broderick detective suite, Homefront Battle code, NFS Hot Pursuit online pass, Mass Effect 3 online pass, saints row commander in chief pack, dead island rip tide survivor pack and a few other items.
I think codes such as Fable games will still be viable after 360 marketplace shut down since they're backwards compatible. It's games which aren't backwards compatible which are in risk of not working as stated in xbox site. Only codes which will stop working are the avatar codes maybe, but in game codes such as dlc's will work.
I think backwards compat codes will work just not games that aren't backwards compatible, I didn't know this before making the video but a lot of people have been saying the same as you so I do understand it better now and agree with you!, regardless its good practice to check the codes you have in case they do work, anyway some codes could work for games that aren't backwards compatible (before the 29th) so it's just best to check anyway i think.
I've filled my xbox 360 with 135 store games and free xbox live gold giveaway games. I have a great build of classic games, I'm playing my 360 more than my series X....lol.
@@TheFullGamePhantom Remember when xbox would give you 4 games a month when subscribed to xbox live, 2 xbox one games and 2 360 games. You could use the xbox one games as long as you were subscribed to live but the 360 games were yours for ever.....some good 360 games i can tell you as well.
Nice to see everybody in the 360 community giving tips and advice with the closing of the store. All great things must come to an end though :( great video man and i hope you snagged everything you wanted before they pull the plug.
Can you redeem the codes on the Microsoft website once the store closes. I bought a Kinect off eBay and it won’t arrive until July 30th and it says there is a code for a 30$ game with it
I am not entirely sure on that point tbf I believe that you won't be able to redeem them online either unfortunately, of course I am not 100% certain about the online store but from what they are saying I believe every way of redeeming Xbox 360 content is going to go sad to say. I guess we'll find out! Let me know if it works for you I hope for your sake it does mate. I think backwards compat games might work for the codes after the shutdown though but again just speculation! Heres some links of what I have seen people talk about and the xbox announcement itself! answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/can-i-redeem-xbox-360-game-dlc-after-the-360-game/4687f670-ab26-4db4-81ff-4ec80d1d9ff0 support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/xbox-360/store/xbox-360-marketplace-update www.reddit.com/r/xbox360/comments/1ctswkh/cant_redeem_exclusive_to_xbox_360_codesdlc_after/
@@TheFullGamePhantom it says it has a small chance of being delivered on July 29th. But what time do the servers actually get reset if i get it on July 29th. Does the market place shutdown on July 29th as soon as it hits 12am or does it get shutdown as soon as July 29th ends on July 30th. Either way I’m probably screwed because the eBay seller took their sweet time to ship it.
@@Frozenduckling29th July Midnight 12 pm. I do believe Microsoft said they will still honour game/Gift codes. Don't forget that some gift and games codes can be out of date because they do have a time limit. If your gift code works it will add it to your account but you cannot spend it on xbox 360 because of store closing if your not in time but you can spend it on xbox one store if you use the same account as your 360. If you get your kinect in time there's some good bargains on kinect games. Hope this helps.
@@Frozenduckling I am unsure the time when it closes could be midnight or during the 29th ! and as for what magic says below there is a chance the code has expired BUT in my personal experience i got a code for dead space 2 collectors edition, typed in the code (which had an expiration date) but it still worked.
correct, for games that are not backwards compatible! www.reddit.com/r/xbox360/comments/1ctswkh/cant_redeem_exclusive_to_xbox_360_codesdlc_after/ For games that are backwards compatible they might still be active. support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/xbox-360/store/xbox-360-marketplace-update - click on code redemption section and have a look! hope this helps! it will be good practice to try them now just in case!
