I grew in under Sam scully he lived next door to me and my grandparents he was like a uncle to me.our families are real close to all the clays. Out of respect for Sam scully my stage name is N.O.SCULLY
Ha bruh… I was born the year Scully got killed, but my people off Jackson Ave but on the other side of Claiborne. I remember when I was little kid, probably like 6, me, my uncle and pops pulled up round there off Jackson and Prieur and they was kicking it with his people. I remember meeting Turbo though. He lived right there on Galvez and Thalia in the Yo. I heard Al Broadnax wasn’t even from the city. Say, They say that boy was from way in the country somewhere. That’s true?
@@Chris_T_3rd_Ward_504 uncle turbo Terrell sterling .....i was locked up with Terrell in JPCc after katrina in 09...RIP turbo ....he died a couple days after he got out jail
Dude really did a great job articulating how the mentality they had developed. I hope more light is shed on New Orleans street stories from uptown and downtown. I know the St. Thomas has history. I know the 17th has history. I know the Desire, Florida and lower 9 has history. It's not to glorify. It's to have a better understanding. I respect that the man took accountability and I'm looking forward to hearing more of his story.
@@dankdank1434 Yessir so many Wars stories. 39ers, 110ers, 3NG, Desire Boyz Fischer Boyz Uncle Rell and the MELPHOMENE Boyz, New Orleans East etc. So many war stories in the Boot. New Orleans bout one of the only City's that's Murders are looked at like Superstars. It's a Crazy Mind set but some situation u just gotta get it how u live.
Obviously you can become a product of your environment. I think it’s cool how he said it wasn’t the Calliope that made me do this it was just my own poor decisions. Accountability.
it wasn't the calliope or his bad decisions. Its the fact they flooded the calliope with drugs that make you aggressive. Only sold in black communities, so where did the bad decisions come from??????? A drug that has no history of hitting white neighborhoods but this drug was brought into the calliope, a all black neighborhood. It's like yall look over the true conversation 😂😂😂. He wasn't taking accountability he was putting you up on game
I'm so glad that a real ngga telling his own story and not letting people that never stepped foot in my hood mess the whole story up. My dawg TW did an amazing job with the "Calliope Chronicles". Yall need to go check them out. All of them. "CALLIOPE CHRONICLE".
I remember when Nap and Meatball, use to run around in that Truck with Homicide on it..My mom worked in the Melphomene Projects when I was a little boy in the 80s..Man I remember The Mets gang use to ride around with Uzis out the cars back in the G around the Calliope..I remember them days..
When I say the first Calliope Chronicles about Al Broadnax, Fat Tanner & Sam Skully; when it mentioned the suspicious nature of Al Broadnax murder I wondered if Sam Skully may have been responsible for Al's murder in the 8th ward. I lived in the 8th ward on Marigny street around that time
Appreciate your content bra you hear me shidd I'm from Louisville KY but these names and stories reach up here on some street shit from Brother from the N.O. mayn

When I grew up in the 3rd ward on 3rd street all I remembered hearing was Meatball & Nap. My brother attended James Dehram Jr. High back then with Meatball. My brother said Meatball was actually real good in sports at Dedham Jr. High
Once we break from this lifestyle that was PUT on us, we gone be so much better. Im going on how he was brought up and how he understood the aggressive lifestyle. When you are raised in that environment, you HAVE TO SURVIVE and thats by any means necessary. Once we stop SURVIVING and start LIVING, we will be great!
@@robertmassenburg5275 my brother I pray all is well with you and the family. It’s crazy how reaching out to Nap allowed us to contact. Much love my brother

There are a lot of similarities. We both are port cities. We both have unique cultures. We both have had some of the most crooked politicians. We both are known for having high murder rates. I've been to Baltimore and it reminded me a lot of New Orleans.

He basically telling us how some unanimous person gave them a drug that makes you angry to sell. He said it wasn't the living conditions that caused his actions. Now remember in the 1960s black folks got treated bad. So how the hell a black community gets a hold of a drug that makes you angry???? Wake up yall
He isn't taking responsibility. He telling us the black communities back then got filled with drugs that were created to make you aggressive. Black folks at that but you must be a white person cause you missed that
