I've been using this to get to sleep EVERY NIGHT WITHOUT FAIL for a few months and I still haven't gotten past the part where he's introducing everyone, like, for all I know it's just a half hour of listing names
Am I the only one that thinks that this is incredibly relaxing but just too interesting to sleep to? Like it's 4:46am right now and I've been trying to sleep for hours but damn, I got so into this story
I felt a panic attack coming on so I tried listening to lullaby songs but they weren't working so I tried this after I made myself a cup of non-caffeinated tea and I think I finally calmed down. Thank you very much for helping me with my anxiety ♡
Wow! I didn't know about the subscriptions. Thanks so much for mentioning it. Of course, not at all sure I can afford it, but I'll look into it. A few hours of sleep are priceless. Hope you're doing ok.
Even though this didn’t help me get to sleep which is ironic this man deserves a lot of thanks bc I might not have got to sleep but I feel so much calmer and relaxed
This is James Baldwin? Wow. I didn't know he wrote about the Greeks. I want to listen now, not sleep. He was a beautiful writer, speaker, and person. He spoke not only for a generation, but his words remain true even today. Listening to this story, I can see why he wrote it. Happiness. Equality. Safety. Eased burdens and a golden age come to an end. Ugh! Sleep!
When I was younger me and my cousin would sleepover at my grandparents house I remember them throwing the soft sheet over us and reading us our favorite book and then setting it down on the little table next to us dimming the lights and me drifting off into the soft bed
I’ve been listening to this every night for 10days, I’ve just come out of a 3year relationship I can’t sleep in quietness as my mind goes into over drive. But this video is amazing I still don’t know how the story ends and I listened 09:10 and realised that I have fallen asleep before this time because I didn’t recognise the story. Thank you for this upload.

@@danielbarlow2557 Hi Daniel, I’m sorry to hear about your breakup, yes I left a toxic, controlling relationship it was tough but the best thing I’ve ever done ❤️ I’m very happy now with my new partner, life goes on we are designed to grieve and heal 🥰 I wish you all the best and I hope you come out the other side a happier person xx
My 16 year relationship ended nearly 10 years ago, I wish this was around back then, I do believe there is someone for everyone, I've only had 1 relationship since then, that ended 3 years ago, to be honest, I prefer to be single 🤗
I wish I could stay awake to hear the whole thing. I fall asleep within 7 mins.(Great thing) This is so calming. I LOVE it!❤️ The mans voice is somehow comforting to me. More so then a women’s voice. Maybe its because he talks in a quite voice. This is my 3rd night listening. Sweet dreams everyone!😊
Came here to sleep, ended up being reminded of all my faults and sins, then reminded of my humanity and goodness, then reminded of the evils of corporate greed, then reminded of my social anxiety and how much of life I miss when I’m afraid, then reminded of all the things I love, all the things I can learn... And the video is still going. I am tired but also wide awake. Thank you for this video. I’m looking forward to listening to it again as many times as possible!
I had a subscription with calm but I lost my phone and had my password on autofill so I did not know it. So this is very useful, thanks for uploading this
I had to start this half way through the other night just to find out what happened because I could never make it there without falling asleep 🤣 I'm glad I did, its a great story 😊
HEEELP!!!! I, like Pandora, was curious to hear what happens past the intro - the names of the gods - as I haven't managed to make it past those so far! Which is EXCELLENT! Btw, as ordinarily I am a raging insomniac, but Alan Sklar had me sleeping and well rested for a week; YAY! I digress..... This morning, I couldn't stand not knowing what happened after the intro, so I listened to the full 32mins, and now I NEEEEEEED to know what happens after Hercules sets Prometheus free!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱
Hercules goes on to finish his 10/12 trials, where he became a god for his suffering and hardship. Prometheus's story is harder to piece together because the play that explains it has been mostly lost and fragmented and unless your fluent in latin or greek, you probably cant read the whole thing. One theory on this play however, holds that Prometheus is reconciled with Zeus after revealing to Zeus the prophecy of Thetis' child becoming greater than Zeus himself. As well, as after he was freed he was told to crown himself with a wreath made from willow which is why we have wreaths, also we started wearing rings in honor of Prometheus. Some say that Prometheus joined his brother on Caucasus to wait for an opportunity to help man and usher in a second golden age. Hope that cured your curiosity!
gawt, last night, I just managed to listen for like 5 minutes but tonight, I wanted to sleep but felt like listening to the story out of curiosity since I like these kind of stories. I was suddenly having a panic attack and I kept listening to the story to calm myself.
so I am sublimely drawn in to this fabulous fable. a word to miss x who posted here a mere month ago yes its the same here still ain't quite got to the end yet
i just love this story and mythology in general i believe we need folklore because we cant accept the fact that its just us the human race on this big blue marble so we look toward the stars in search of alien life
