That's why I sometimes prefer Genshin over Honkai, cus I don't wanna stress myself doin a run 87 times just for one mf to be over me with only 1 point more lmao Then I come back to Honkai like 5 mins later cus I wanna do fun runs in MA-
Lol, true. The only times I'm not chill is when everything falls apart in a rotation due to lack of sp, lack of dmg, missing and evade, not picking up sp that falls immediately as It does so, getting stunned, and other shit
@@alejosuarconde1145 but if you waste 1 minute and the enemy health bar is not even half of the first health out of x5 health as well as you are still at stage 1 of the first abyss you damn well know you have to cry on the corner and wait for 4 days to reset the abyss so you could have lower abyss level and beat the ass of those mobs out of your frustration for wasting 1 week
@@zakariaahmadfauzan926 the zone is a pretty accurate description of intende Honkai gameplay. Specially in old days when Dirac still killed for bleeding. Boy, those were intense days. Or playing ER without meta or underleveled. No matter how tired you are, you always fall into the zone.
Imagine missing a qte cuz you looked too much at the health bar or the clock, or the opposite, missing that you actually could have one shot him faster but you didn't see cuz you weren't looking at the health bar, but instead looking at the qte prova and stuff cuz you're busy timing 5 things at the same time in a rotation and trying not to miss any of them.
Exactly. Heck, even evading perfectly will reward you in some way or other. In Genshin, evading does nothing. That's why most of the players won't bother doing it and just rely on shields.
The timings in honkai are much more of a punishment if you miss, i mean sometimes you dont have a visual indicator that the buff you applied is still going on and some of them are like 5 or 6s buff and then huge ass cooldown resulting in many resets
Me when I accidentally press 1 to switch to character twice, messing up my whole rotation because if character switch CDs (although Klein does save my ass sometimes)
Honkai gameplay looks like it's just spam buttons for outsiders but people would be surprised how difficult to actually pull off good results. U have to know what you're doing with ur QTE, combos, weapon and stigmata effects..etc.
True. At the highest level. Game is just a matter of pressing inputs on the right timings with the best rng I remember having to roll openers for jizo hov hep and more. Those times were crazy
As a veteran captain the only difference between playing with your eyes closed and playing it at a veteran level is just knowing if you got a good time
Fun fact : healer or shielder is not a thing in Honkai impact's Meta since the common mind set here is "you don't need to heal if you kill your enemy fast enough"
Healer and shielder used to be very important in the old Abyss though, where your hp will continuously dropped down and the mobs can easily one-shot you.
Honkai player skill #1: if I hear I ding I hit dogde Honkai player skill #2: me see numbers, me good me playing Honkai on a potato: what particle effects, game's in a standstill atm! 🤣
The flow state in Honkai hits different istg, PGR may have the most butt clenching boss fights but Honkai just gets you into that state of godhood where you somehow dodge an attack that’s been covered by 50 layers of flashbang before buffing yourself to oblivion and doing 3 entire bars of health per combo atk.
A friend was watching me play this Honkai. I told him the level i'm playing right now is an easy daily mission in the game. His 2 sentences were "Yooo that's a mobile game?" and "Are you serious? What the fuck????"
@@helper_bot no. Let him enjoy his clash of clans. I think I’m a good friend when I refuse to let him sink down to action games like PGR or HI3 and become an addict like me
Honkai's abyss: clear instructions of what team you needed to clear the stages. Genshin's abyss: unclear instruction, crappy buff card rng, wrong mob placed at the wrong floor (boss should be for single target dps, and mob should be for AoE dps). Edit: from a 5+ year Honkai player and a 2 year Genshin player.
The Leyline Disorders in Genshin practically make no difference too - In Honkai their stage effects can drastically impact a team's performance. Phys DMG -50% can turn PE from a god tier DPS into an average character

@@dazz_2d to get the honkai experience on genshin (a lot of numbers) you need a team of 3 characters that do damage off-field and one character that can attack and move very fast like keqing, also no shielders.
Novice captain: confused button mashing Veteran captain: meaningful button mashing I swear that Honkai abyss and memorial runs are just little bites of speed running where you really need to know your rotation well 😅
A single or even a couple of mistakes in Jenshin Spiral Abyss run won't really cost you much because you're not competing with other players for scores so as long as you still get that 36 stars, you're good to go. Leyline disorders hardly matter and doesn't even affect floor 12. Blessing of the Abyssal Moon is more of an added bonus than you getting heavily punished for not utilizing it. You can also bring a wide variety of team combinations into floor 12 and still perform well. Its also the only difficult content the game has at the moment and resets every 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to clear before the next reset. Honkai on the other hand, just clearing isn't good enough in Memorial Arena and Infinity Abyss/Superstring Dimension as you have to play optimally in order to retain your ranks or get promoted(high red lotus~nirvana/top 100~sub 2%). You also need a very specific team in order to get a good enough score even for only retention purposes due to boss weaknesses/resistances/shields and Abyss weathers which matter a lot(Gl servers are a bit more lax than other servers). Even simply clearing pre-perilous stages in Abyss(Nirvana) can be nigh-impossible without the right team because the mobs are massive health sponges when you don't meet the weather conditions. Compared to Spiral Abyss, MA resets every week and I. Abyss has only about 2 days duration per reset. Oh right, and you're also directly competing scores against the game's whales so good luck.
And thats why Genshin better, not even Nirvana, in red lotus, you have no chance against top, f2p barely have a chance lol... Stage are sandbag, nothing hard, but the competition is
Honestly honkai teaches you how to handle high levels of stress for 15mins straight before you realise that you can’t maintain your rank because you’re up against whales or people with ungodly levels of luck
they pay for the game, you pay $0 so as alhaitam said you have to blame it on their financial freedom ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ genshin would probably be my last mihoyo game though
@@geebeepman i was talking about honkai www, cant blame them, though, the costumes are real bangers you could spend negative dollars on genshin and perform better than a whale if you understand mechanics well
Bro obliterated the boss before it could even attack again in honkai 💀, kinda nostalgic at some years ago when Kallen was the terror of MA and Sakura Samsara open world lmao
Well… the “calmest” run in honkai is when you play perfectly. Don’t get hit, don’t waste a single dodge and do your rotations perfectly and have enough SP in your build. So basically never.
Non honkai player might amazed by all the animation but us honkai player don't even look at that half of the time, all we see is just evasion cooldown, buff bar sp bar etc
While the combat of honkai is very fun and mechanically engaging, I did find the simplicity, lack of on screen clutter, and lack of intense speedrun requirement + absence of strict, ever-changing meta units and gear (at least in abyss) in genshin quite refreshing after playing 3 years of honkai. Not to mention the grind; honkai’s grind is definitely much greater and more complicated than it needs to be compared to genshin. Still love the game though, a revolutionary mobile game imo
yea i agree if honkai didnt exist we wouldnt had pgr and other games with pc quality on the palm of your hand, mhy singlehandedly plucked the bad future of mobile gaming by having an actual game on the market. sure there are other revolutionary games, but mihoyo by far surpasses the most of peoples' expectations. respect
I've gotta disagree on the grind thing, considering I've literally seen clips of people having a miniature breakdown over a bad artifact roll in Genshin. In terms of casual play, it may be a little bit easier, but for actually grinding out top grade teams, no. Not only does Honkai seem to have better pull stats on characters and equipment, not to mention more frequent crystals, but it also has a far less finicky upgrade system for any gear that you use. Especially since you can just reroll attributes for Honkai.
I actually love Honkai so much more than Genshin tbh. I love how crazy some of the ultimate animations are and how insanely powerful some of the characters are. I also love how they create characters that are meant to go with each other because it's so cool when U get them all and u get to use them in a team and just go in a smooth cycle.
Yeah I think one of the things I like most abt honkai is they make the characters actually WORK with each other and have a smoother rotation too (Also maybe because of QTE).
@@alexsolosm you gotta know what you doing. Look up references. Practice runs. I see people all the time that have perfect gear but dont know boss mechanics
When I joined to Genshin, I genuinely was like "man, I'm gonna kill that hilichurl in 10 years with this speed" I turned out being a Kaeya main at the end (attacks a bit slow)💀
I think it depends on the genre of this games. Genshin is more exploring, while in Honkai priority is given to battles, so that way we have well-thought-out combat mechanics.
Gotta hand it to Honkai for having satisfying af hit feedback. Especially when some of the heavier attacks like HoH’s ult wep skill have a slowmo effect
Just a calm day doing your job as captain chilling in red lotus doing your dailies and then later on ai chan suddenly gave you a notif of promotion to nirvana.
I've played both games and my experience with their combat is: Genshin Random bullshit go Honkai The hundreds of attack combos that my muscle memory has memorized is just for this moment
For a person who started out in genshin then honkai later on, I'd say genshin's combat has a low skill ceiling enough for some people to either be calm and relaxed with it or see it not as fulfilling in the end. Where as Honkai has pretty much a high skill ceiling as well as satisfying once you mastered it (and actually built the characters to the brim, be it from spending or taking a long ass time saving resources). Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying one game is better than the other and I know there are some very hardcore children out there going to get unreasonably butthurt out of nowhere. It's just in terms of combat, to me, the more I need to actually master it to pull it off is better. It's just more satisfying for me. That's why I ended up loving honkai later on.
I've ever spent more than an hour trying out different setups and rotations just to improve my score slightly to not drop from Red Lotus. Satisfying but also tremendously tiring.
@@alexsolosm I don't know how tiring and stressful it is on red lotus but it's one of the reasons why I just stick to agony lol. And even if I do want to go to redlotus, I Just don't have enough meta characters to compete so I'd still end up on agony. I just see red lotus as an eventual goal for my account.
i usually hate mobile fighting games, but honkai is really really fun. most of the playstyles are very satisfying and i like watching the health bar :)
your comment in the description is SO TRUEEE too bad I lost interest in playing genshin anymore since Im lazy, but still had great experience, so i'll move on to starrail soon!
i love honkai but i can see where some casual players gets intimidated by crazy honkai speed of combat...but its worth mentioning that at early game it does not go that crazy and later you know combos and u know where to look to see everything ...and as veteran now in this video for example i see all rotations and even all enemies and their moves..but if you like more slower and relaxed combat...genshin is way to go..but if you love being rewarded for quick precise moves and understanding combat well..honkai is Goat for that
Yeah, pretty much I did the easy Honkai run look the most difficult I could to confuse/scare Genshin players, but Honkai players know exactly what's happening there.
Lmao you should have added the new Husk battle too, thats some real flashbanging. I mean this isnt even a main top score run kind of level in Honkai, imagine comparing Abyss and ER stuff as well
@@greed7255 since you’re still new, not understanding the lore is completely normal, just take it slow cause Honkai lore is complex and complicated. You can watch Introducting to Honkaiverse vid on the official yt channel first 💪
Ok so here's a quick summary of the story and gameplay for you: There are things that's trying to kill you You need to kill it first *And time's not on your side*
who stills remember Benares ice tornado attack in ER if you get hit once you get frozen over and over again until you die that was one of the reason that made me such a CALM person in honkai today.
What makes it worse is that, if you're using elemental valk, you can meet kallen on the 7th floor and have high chances for her to make you miss the 2 signet bonuses
the fact that i redid the same boss 5 times using a different order of characters in my character slots is just the daily routine of playing in abyss for a 1 point lead to laugh at the player behind you
I have fought lots of times for my place in Abyss tryna win that mf who won 1 point more than me. Then I get 1 more point, then they get one more and like that until Abyss ends💀 I always win tho🤭
@@nemubenzene9138 last time I tried so hard to grind 20 points and it turns out the guy ahead of me wasn’t even t try one and instantly got 80 more points, I was shattered, no 3rd place for me
Your main game will always be better than the side game. That's also me, I can go to 12-1 but that's it, meanwhile in Honkai I've been retaining RL for some patches now😭
In Genshin I can see what I’m doing and how much dmg I’m doing Meanwhile In Honkai impact I can’t even see what I’m doing and how much dmg I’m doing Huge difference
In honkai, it doesn't matter what damage numbers come out of the boss. It is important how much of the boss’s health bar you take away per rotation and how much you get the timing right. And with experience, 90% of all your actions are clearly visible, although sometimes I agree, you have to navigate by sound and game indicators.
Not me trying ER with highest difficulty while using HoT and struggling at the last stage but manages to clear it at 2nd attempt with 1 second left, i got cramps on my fingers after that lmao
LOOOOOL. The calmest run I had in Honkai was that one sim battle I ended in like 10s. xD It was so satisfying yet more violent than any of the Genshin fights I've had. ^^;
I've never learn how to use supports in Honkai. The most I've used them is switch to Raven at the start of fight, auto once for the feather buff and then switch and stay on Flamescion for the rest of the fight lol
I prefer honkai with the many combos and skills and actual evasion move compared to genshin though maybe it's my bias of playing metal gear rising and devil may cry that makes me like the chaotic button mashing
Honkai and Genshin are different because they should be, no? In Honkai, the only thing you can do besides story is to fight. This is what the game is based on. While in Genshin, the main focus is on story and exploring. Genshin is more like a relaxing game where you can watch your waifu climbing and making noises
Yeah but still there's ppl complaining about "Honkai open worlds suck man haha funni" So if they can complain about Open Worlds in Honkai, I can complain about battle gameplay in Genshin🤭
@@nemubenzene9138 genshin is also a really bad game for new player ... all char of inasuma are ressource lock so every char you get from gacha can't be use for your 1st few week and sumeru is fucking far for a new player if he just wan't to follow story ... honkai is much better because the game is quite old the newbie freebies are really insane and you can get a lot of S unit and good starter set of stigmata and weap . @@ZilverEchos Nah that's cap. There's no combat to do in Genshin after 36 stars. And this is coming from a 2020 Genshin veteran who's been playing virtually every day. Honkai's skill ceiling is higher and there's actual end game content to play through. Hoyoverse has all the potential to introduce content to fully utilize Genshin's combat system but they're not. They will cater to the non-combat player base because they are the majority of their audience.
Use some fight against imaginary bosses. The difference between a two legged big boss between these game is day and night. Gameplay in honkai is more looking for cues, your sp and qte than the effects cause there is a lot. And even if it doesn't look like it, some enemies are still moving and attacking, the gameplay is just fast
as someone who's an returnee/honkai veteran, as someone who is an massive mihoyo game lover, genshin Impact was chill for me lol, while honkai impact was alot more complicated and i still love the gameplay and story, i live for those big numbers 😂
In my opinion, Honkai has the best combat mechanic cause the pace on fast switch CHR and battle is really great and i played HI3 for. 2 year and i never bored from their combat system. Its really awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
my dear friend have you seen how many timers you have to manage because of all the effects you proc, genshin elemental effects last so much longer there isnt even a point to switching out in perfect frames
In honkai I don't even look at the numbers, as long as there are so much that I can't see what I'm doing it's fine In genshin I decide to ignore the numbers because they stress me lol
My friends love watching me play genshin and hate when I play honkai. They can't really understand what's happening on screen when I play honkai and have told me about it a million times.
I mean for same amount of time played, genshin combat will give me more frustration than Honkai (even if we didn't forget about abyss in both + memorial and elysian in Honkai).
