This probably sounds funny but I’ve got a 96 grand marquis. LS1 swaped. BTR stage 3 cam. 3800 stall yank. 3.73 tail gears going in a couple weeks. Won’t be getting your kinda times though. She’s a heavy girl but it’s still a blast to drive.

@@carado1984 Yeah I still have the car. I’ve got about 8k miles on the swap. Had almost no problems to speak of, I only drive it in the summer season now. It’s running off a Holley terminator max that also controls the 4L60E. Upgraded from the 3.5 touch screen that comes with the terminator ECU to the 7” Holley instrument panel. I love driving it! I’ve been meaning to get it dyno’d and professionally tuned but still haven’t gotten around to it. Just been doing small tweaks to get the drivability better mostly with the shift points. I hear ya about the 4.6, this was my first car when I was 16 and I’m almost 36 now! I put 230k on that car with the 4.6 and it had 90 on it when I got it. At 320k after a long life and an extreme amount of beatings I popped a heater hose and overheated it try to get home. Took out a head gasket on the old 4.6. Always wanted more power. Had a lot of memories in the old girl and it owed me nothing so that’s when and why I decided to do the LS1 swap. It’s not my daily anymore it’s just a for fun car now. Probably will keep it forever.
The only big weight savings was front and rear bumpers and weheels,actually had a 8.8 rear so on the scales it got 3200 ...im sure it could’ve gone 10s with a tweaked tune.
I took a lot out of this car.bumper deletes,k member,cromoly suspension,lighter battery,lighter hood,light wheels.no front sway bar. Cloth interior,base package.
That's a great cam...was the original magic stick not ms3 or ms4... I had that same cam full weight full suspension 3600 yank ss prc stage 2 5.3 heads and ran 11.4 on drag radials in Texas summer 96 degrees... nice setup!!! Kudos to you 👏
@Matt Brad Well, I wasn't looking at the speed and time, just what would be the minimum for that cam. Too many people are misleading others with titles like this, when in fact, there's more to it. With that cam, you'll also need springs, push rods, and lifters as well.
Sorry dude. Cam only no way. Just put all the upgrade details in the description and truly show what the cars got. I mean it looked like a strong run & sounds good. Just seems like you wanted to make it sound more impressive for what it actually is
Cam only LS1 4th gen cars dont even run 12s in the 1/4 mile. Ive watched shitloads of them at my local track with more mods than just a cam and they don't run any faster than a 12.5. The title is a flat out lie, there is a lot more than just a cam in that thing
@@1juicedfox maybe I misread the title, but CAM only means no bolt on stuff, just a CAM only...I know my 99 Ran a 13.6 stock, no bolt on's etc...I couldn't just add a CAM and run an 11.3
Cam only my ass. I have a stripped down, can, heads worked,102 intake and tb, 9inch rearend, built transmission, radical e85 tune, 4000 stall, 10pt cage, full suspension, basically a race car, 2002 z28and I run 11.00. U “cam only” guys are making the rest of us look dumb.
😂😂 Typical of cammed/stalled cars. They don't look fast but they're actually moving out quite good. Plus, it's not shifting a gazillion times like the new cars with automatic transmissions. This is only a 4-speed.
