@@bhcamaro2002 love f body's. I've owned 3 different 4th gens and still have my 2001 Ws6,which I'll never get rid of. partly due to the heart of the beast being a 454 procharged LSX 😁
I love seeing an old F body every so often you can't have the LS of today without a knob back to the LS of yesteryear an examples that clean are always nice to see
I remember when I was about 8 years old in my dads street legal drag 93 camaro z28 that was insane. It was 10 seconds fast and he street raced with us boys in the car. He would say hey crawl in the back and twist that nozzle for me.
Just sold my 95 Z28, though it was an LT1, still a beautiful car that held its own against today's cars on the road. I miss it. Moved on to a Heads/Cam/Intake C5Z06 with Procharger on it making 630 wheel on 93 pump. Loved this video!!
Driven many high dollar builds, and really capable cars for every spectrum of motoraports. I still have the most fun behind the wheel of my 2000 HCI LS1 WS6 T/A. Pretty much the full treatment from BMR with a good tire and brake setup and its the most fun for the money I've ever had. Great bang for buck option but prices are climbing. 😎
Nothing but love for the catfish Fbody . I as well owned a 2001 SLP SOM SS. I finally let it go in 2019 great car and sounded better than my ZL1 does. Guys don't forget where you came from.
4th gens are life. Especially TA WS6 cars. Timeless design. Although SS’s aren’t far behind in the looks department. Spoiler and hood really set those cars off!
I think it still is something honestly. People give coyote and LS3 to much credit while I know what they can do... nice H/C/I ls1 build can still battle.
I had two f-bodies back in the 2000s and Steven worked on both of them. One at lmr and the other at the place he worked at before then. Loved both those cars. Glad to see some are still in great condition
Great video!!! Thumbs up!!! That was nice of you to share your 7 sec ride!!!! Now that looked like a special build. I would like to see the odd GEN 1/2 Camaro build mixed in with the new stuff. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Came across this video after someone cracked my 2000's oil pan. I can appreciate how well these guys take care of the cars as they're working on them. Wish they were local would ask them work on mine. Hard to find people so caring & passionate about their work. Love the video
I love this video. Still have my 4th gen which is a race car. I remember watching your car at Lsx shoot outs and when you went radial racing. Good times from 2000-2013. Good ole memory’s.
In my opinion, the more the merrier!! One day I want to have a car built from your shop. I'm no spring chicken, so I like seeing the span of LMR's abilities 🚨🇺🇸🦅
I appreciate the video on this gen 4 F-Body! I use to have a few of these in the early to mid 2000s before I got on a 300zx tt kick. I have been looking at gen 5 Camaros but I find I am more interested in older cars, maybe because I am 60. Anyways after looking at the prices of the first 3 generations of Camaros that have LS/t56 swaps(I am tired of oil leaks and no overdrive) I decided to get a gen 4. They are just old enough to be cool or different. I have found a few in good condition for around $11k to 15k. But I have also found 1 that has a recent ls3 short block; TS cam, after market heads, a pro tune done on dyno making 430 whp, a Moser 12 bolt and every other suspension upgrade short of IRS for $18k. I just decided I will pay a few grand more for that one. YOU GOT ME EXITED!!
Damn, this brought so many memories. I had a 1998 Camaro SS, did H/C package with header/exhaust, made it a road course track monster. Had so much fun with this car until it got rear end on the freeway in traffic. Awesome numbers. Looking you guys up when I retire and move to Texas.
A have a 02 all black convertible and know it has less power horses than today's engines but I am happy w my 300 plus on mine ,I bought it with 27 miles at Colfax chevy dealer ,very very happy w it stilll😊
I had a 02' SS in highschool and it was the most fun car I ever owned. Could get in it and beat the crap out of it 24/7 and it never skipped a beat. Really would like to get another one.
Had a white 99 SS back in 01-04. Love a clean 4th gen. I’m now in the process of dropping a LS1 into my late fathers 02 S10. Sparing no expense on this build.
I just did, basically, the same build for my 2015 Scion FR-S. We were able to squeeze 515whp from my setup on e85. Long story short, I was worried the house wouldn’t cut it, but quickly found that there aren’t many cars out there that even come close. Power to weight is an amazing thing!
Here I am with my 2004 Z06 replacing brakes, radiator, a/c, broken plastic intake parts, etc, just to keep it on the road. But hey, it's pretty much the only one on the road so that counts for something! Great build and video. Thanks.
I love these Fbodys they to me were the Best most controllable drift car out of the box factory! They slid around perfect! Almost a natural ease to them
Love old school and love my 02 Camaro SS. Would love to see more cars like this in your shop. I think a true dual x pipe exhaust would have helped. Would like to know more about the cam specs and head specs. Did you change injectors and fuel pump to support this power? I think there is more involved than you showed on the video. Love your videos by the way.
@@s2k442 oh you went with the dual 2.5inch… that does nothing much over a good 3 inch catback plus you paid more and it’s heavier. Just get a catback for better fitment and the option for quite mufflers the. Dual electronic cutouts . Best of all worlds
Very cool growing up with my buddies wishing I could own one, and I did ,Can’t believe you only have this many subscribers, come on people wake the F -Up!!!
The number of subscribers can be directly linked to the number of people who agree that 4th gen Camaros were a mistake and a piece of shit. Yeah, I owned a 4th gen Z28. What a disaster compared to my 69 Z28. LO fuckin L.
Great video. I have had a 2001 SS Camaro since 2003. And my kids fight over who will get the Hellcat or the Porsche when I die...what they don't realize is the 2001 SS and the Tahoe are here for life. The other cars are just side chicks and can take a walk at any time. These 4th Gen cars are the real deal. Don't stop working on something just cause its older...that's leaving money on the table, cause people are still building them. Imagine if people felt that way about 1st Gens? Look at how huge that market is, even people who weren't around when they came out are building them all day long. We would like the know what's the cam specs and which AFR heads? Just subscribed. Keep bringing us 4th Gen content, and I'll keep coming back...
Had a 1998 SS Camaro with a built LS1 in it and a manual 6 spd. It was the best car I ever owned. Got 24 mpg when I wasn’t beating on it. I raced the shit out of it put 130K miles on it and it never quit. Got it up to 150 mph in 5th gear in an all out mile race. Car was just amazing for the money.
Got 2002 slp covert 6 speed bilstein suspension, auburn, 15,000, FLP long tubes, bmr panhard with lower control bars, Kenny brown suffrage connections. Never been in rain, like new. Might want to cam & heads.
I think this is the absolute very best video yet that has came from this channel. Of course that's my opinion. I have a 99 hugger Orange SS Camaro with a 5.3 that is built but it definitely needs a refreshing or just a new motor all together something a lot faster would be really great or I even thought about just keeping the 5.3 and putting a turbo on it. It's a manual car. But yes I absolutely love these cars
I'm on my 17th 4th Gen MARO now ! I done everything to it, from suspension tires paint interior! Now I'm saving up for a heads an cam package! Almost there summit racing 😁 💪🚗💨💨👏👌😎
Awesome! Back in 2001 I bought a brand new SS Camaro 6 Speed. I'm looking at one right now. It is a 2002 SS 6-speed with 14,500 original miles on it. A collector owned it and it had been stored in his warehouse.
I purchased my ls1 firehawk back in 04, and I used to have a lot of fun on the street in it being a full bolt on car. In my head I still think it's a late model car, then reality hits and I realize how long it's been and how far cars have come...getting old is surreal. Lol
2018-2019 i started looking for a decent 98-2002 Formula or Z28 after giving up on a A/B body Mopar and every single one i found in good shape was running well over 10k with close to 200k miles so i gave up and bought a 5th gen cash for 11k. First week i did full exhaust, Vararam intake, trans cooler and a tune before really even getting on it once and yes i was pleasantly surprised. It has been parked for a year because once my son was born it took on a second plan but i did manage to get a GPI SS2, Circle D 3400, 3.91, lakewood rear suspension and 1LE/Z28 spoiler/hood. Once i get around to throwing everything on she should be a fun car 😊
