Did this mod today, I surprisingly did not have much trouble removing the old diffuser. I started from one side and worked to the end, only had a single tab break lol. Now putting on this diffuser was troublesome, like you mentioned, the tabs aim down slightly that it would not go in without some force. I've looked around and they all seem to have those side gaps, I sprayed the gaps black to match the diffuser. Also drilled holes on the bottom of the fins to zip-tie, came out nice.

I'm also in ohio I pick up my camaro ss in about a week its purple with balck stripes, maybe well run into eachother on the road im near Cincinnati. That mod is sick and the mufflers are nice

Glad you posted this i think i was going to get that knock off havoc diffuser (H-sport) this week. For the same reason really the havok is expensive i wish you had video of how it was

Do you have a scratch on your bumper? I have a dent in the exact same spot, looks just like that on your bumper lol. On an unrelated note, you sound just like the guy who plays daredevil lol

Hahahah I've never gotten that before, I'll have to give him a listen. We're talking about the CW show right? And yeah it's a scratch, couple of them actually. Was on there when I bought the car and I cant stand it haha. I'm contemplating buying a new bumper just to fix it. I'll put LED reverse lights in at the same time haha.

Its on netflix lol. and i understand completely, mine came from someone in a jeep who had clevises on the front,and he bumped my car while parking then took off. it irks me every time i see it. i just couldnt get over having to pay 400 for a re paint alone.

Ahh thats right. I was associating it with Flash and Arrow haha. And yeah, I wish it was nice and flawless but theres a nice amount of dings in it from him as well, not to mention my dad has backed into it and gave it a healthy dent in the right rear fender that I'm still waiting for him to get fixed haha

Do you have vinyl stickers for around the tail light bezels? (On the paint, not the bezels themselves). If so where’d you get them? Also, how’d you tint those tail lights with the slits??

No vinyl around the tail lights. And I removed the lights themselves, places a slash of tape over them, and plastidipped the rest so when you remove the tape you have everything dark but the slash haha.

The spoiler is the Anvil Notch rear spoiler and I believe I got it from 1shopauto or something. My wife got it for me as a christmas present but I sent the link so I assume thats what she used. You can find them at quite a few places online though.

I took them out and plastidipped them. Masked the slash you see off with tape and sprayed the rest. Very easy to do!

I have a 2010 SS and I tried to take off my diffuser and ended up ripping off my bumper. Any ideas what I did wrong? I unscrewed all of the bolts.

It's been a while since I took off my diffuser, but if I remember correctly it's just the couple of bolts behind each wheel and across the back, plus the plastic tabs which are the worst part. if you removed the whole bumper it would probably be easier, and in fact there are a lot of tutorials that recommend you take the rear bumper off in order to change it out so you're not totally in the dark on this one. I just didn't do it that way because it seemed way more involved and complicated. But I wouldn't be able to tell what you did differently than I did without seeing how you did it.

There are no holes in the new diffuser for the old speed nuts to fit. Zipties work just as well as the only function of those bolts is to keep it close to flush with the bottom of the bumper. Guess what? Still on there and works like a charm ;)

1badmaro ss there is literally no benefit to removing the rear bumper in order to swap diffusers as it can all be reached without removing the bumper. Removing the bumper is going to make the process much longer than it needs to be. If you want to do it that way, knock yourself out. But I can assure you that certainly isn’t the “proper” way to do it.
