Honestly the body style of the 5th gen is more of a muscle car look. The 6th just looks like a sports car, that's my opinion. I have a 15 5th gen myself & I love it.

I agree! When it comes to muscle cars, you go for that look that feels right instead of "new". The 5th gen is the look my hubby and I wanted. No dissing others choices, we just love the lines and looks of the 5th gen. Money wasn't an issue, just true preference. It has such a beautiful and retro feel to the 67 to 69 era. I just love the sexy beefy look! We have 5 kids and spent years in suburbans and minivans and now that they're older, having this Camaro is just fricking awesome! A real dream.

I remember asking my dad to buy a lottery ticket for the Camaro ZL1 back in 2013, too bad we didn't win the car though. That car is still my favorite version of the Camaro to this day.

I just bought a yellow 5th gen with 65,000 miles for 15990. Traded in a yellow 03 celica for her. Named her Foxy haha. First mod will be exhaust. Mines stock and quiet af.

2014-2015 SS 1LE was the best year/configuration of the rebooted camaro. Bang for buck handling, performance, and looks.

Also if you buy a used 5th gen you may get one with some mods already done. Mine came with a k&n air intake and a Borla attack exhaust. These cars are 50% less than what a new one cost. They handle like a dream. They are so much fun to drive especially with a manual transmission. Just need to recam the engine. Yes give them a chance. Go drive them. Love at first drive!

5th gen is my favorite. If you don't like the visibility, swap out the stock mirrors and get ones that allow you to view those blind spots. I swapped mine out and couldn't be happier with my 2011.

I have a 14" 2SS and i absolutely love driving it. Going places is fun and exciting instead of being a hassle or bore. I look forward to driving now. I will say the Z/28 youve got is the best lookimg in my opinion with thr 6th gen ZL1 1LE a close second. Congrats on the awesome ride dude!

I have a 2010 and 2016 both are different beast. The 2010 is a classic muscle car but the 2016 has a sporty look. The 2016 still have a mean look from the front with a nice feel inside. The 2010 has more power but not by much, and the look inside has that muscle car feel with all the gages. Camaro has been my favorite car. Thanks for the video.

It's hard to say. Both cars were prime for its day but technology and the Alpha chassis radically transformed the 6th Gens to the point that they are not in the same league stock for stock. The 6th Gen is lighter and more agile and bone stock SS's are running very close 0-60 and quarter mile times as the 5th Gen ZL1. For those reasons it will be hard for a 5th Gen to match a 6th Gen as dollar for dollar you're starting off with a superior platform with the 6th Gen... but as you said... it does come with a cost. 6th Gens are not cheap at all.

The 4 cylinder is dirt cheap plus you can tune it and get a bigger charger. It’s not gonna sound good but it could probably hold it’s on against an SS

and bro the 5th gen zl1 is way better of a car than the new ss..if you get the 5th gen zl1 up to 700hp I will beat a stock hellcat in the 1/4 mile and run laps around it.the old zl1 is better than the new one specifically in terms of sound and reliability and looks imo..way better car

Fifth gen manual 2ss is a fantastic, reliable, fun and fast car that you can just give hell everyday and itl be perfectly fine. I have one, and I love it. I’d rather have it over a 6th gen. The LT-1 in my opinion, isn’t proven to the same extent as the LS3

I’ve owned two 5th gen camaros in the past 5 years and it never gets old and puts a smile on my face every time. I love my current gen5 zl1 it feels like a true muscle car. After driving a gen6 camaro I was not impressed, and don’t see my self in one.

Had a 5th gen now have a 2018 6th gen. Love the bigger aggressive body of the 5th but i just say my 6th gen grill is more aggressive and handles better. But they both are amazing because of course it is a camaro!!!! Always will be better then the rest!

I have a ‘13 1LE 2SS/RS. Only thing i dont have is sunroof and recaros. Wish i had the recaros. But the NPP exhaust (quad tips) along with my new long tubes and hi flo cats and tune makes me happy. I do really like the 6th gen ZL1/1LE tho.

JayFromDADE I let my brother buy my 15 2SS with 32k miles because I upgraded to a 2020 2SS. The 5th gens aren’t slow by any means, but my 2020 left it in a drag, and roll. Both are bone stock aside from a flow master exhaust and resonator delete on the 15.

Whipple supercharged, entire suspension and drivetrain all done up, duel fuel pumps, triple disk monster clutch, 3 inch Corsa, etc…… Dynoed 777 RWHP APPROXIMATELY 900 HP Doing bottom end in the fall. 1/4 mile#’s not sure. I don’t wanna go on the track because I’ll get addicted, but I get picked on everywhere I go on the street Lol

Great vid and review. I too appreciate all the cars, my biggest gripe on the camaro is the interior. It is the worst of the 3 and I'm not even talking about the visibilty out. Still a great sounding and handling ride though.

Sorry but no! Had a 2012 2ss rs with ls3 manual. Car was too heavy and too much drivetrain loss. Felt like a hippopotamus on wheels. SS 1LE does handle well but it wears rubber quicker due to tossing that much weight in the corners.

Still have my 2014 2SS 1LE in summit white. Just hit 50k miles in it and love it like the first day I got it. Don't see myself selling it anytime soon. I know the minute I sell it and see it driving away I'm going to regret it.

The main 6th gen selling point is, it's built on the ats chassis, the interior and steering wheel is much nicer, and it's very modern very sports car feeling. But if you want the retro look and feel go with the 5th gen

After driving a Camaro, I honestly don't have a complaint. I saw just fine. You can see better out of a mustang(and I love the sound/looks), but I had no problem seeing from the camaro.

I think we're still in the 5th gen regardless of what GM marketing says. Today's Camaro doesn't look very different from the 2010 model. They just changed the nose and the tail and call it "6th gen".

you sure that's a 1 LE? The hood doesn't have the distinctive black wrap, and the exhaust doesn't appear to be the NPP that a 1LE would have.

some people take the wrap off when i got mine it didnt have the wrap.it didnt have the gauge console either which i thought was strange.mine also didnt have the quad exhaust either

I had a blacked out 2012 SS for 3 days the previous owner had done Fbo and a fat ass cam it was such a nice car but then one stormy day a giant tree branch fell and crushed the car lol so thats Literally why I have a 5.0 now lol

I have a 2010 Transformer Edition, added a 1LE suspension package and a Whipple, a few other mods, 690 at the wheels, have no complaints other than the rides behind me, classic and just plain fun, all the way! Happy!

@The Grey All 6 of my Camaros and 1 G8 were used. Not one of them gave me engine or drivetrain trouble. You just got to inspect thoroughly before purchasing. Last but not least, give a car a good test drive. Check the acceleration, turning, braking and everything else you can think of. Plus, LS motors can take a punishment as long you change the oil. A lot of times, you can tell when a car has been ragged out.

My 5th gen sounded like lion against this guy 6th gen that sounded like a kitten even he had to hold his ears when my rpms went up both of us have longtubes I have the flowmaster 3in outlaws with offroad H-pipe no cats and he has X-pipe with magnaflow bullets high flow cats both cars are SS mine a 2SS/RS and his was a 1SS
