I recommend a plastic trim removal tool instead of the wire cutter. The trim removal tool has come in handy on all my cars and its thinner to get under some tight spaces
The thing is the motor will spin without locking the flywheel so the impact is the easiest way unless you have a second person to hold engine from spinning
Oh right. Anyway to just put vice grips on the flex plate? The Grand Prixs/regals/monte carlos/impalas I used to do cam swaps on had an access panel to the flex plate.
not sure, but arp states on the instructions to use break cleaner and remove any oil from bolt and only use supplied arp grease as other lubricants can affect the installation process and torque specs.
