Cambodia’s prime minister has ordered the shutdown of one of the country’s few remaining local independent media outlets. The closure order of Voice of Democracy on February 12, 2023, came after Hun Sen took issue with a news report about his son. One of the world’s longest-serving leaders, the Cambodian strongman has increasingly cracked down on any opposition as he prepares for elections later this year.

That's not always true. It's blind trust more than anything. There's no evidence and judgement cannot be placed on an article. Even a day in court, cannot bring out the true truth. Journalists may report their truth, but is it the truth is the question, isn't it? Fact checks can only be done if there's no inherent bias and often times it's quite hard to fact check a claim as such. An anonymous source close to the individual have told us this this and that about the individual. Usually how it goes.
