I am a Taiwanese, and I have lived in Cambodia for nearly 10 years. From the beginning, I was very sensitive to everything, and now I have no feeling for everything. Cambodia must have made great progress in the past 10 years, but I think there is still great potential for future development. I am a foreigner, I am a nobody, and I have no way to decide anything, but it depends on how Cambodians decide their future. I met many bad people in Cambodia, but I also met many good people. My Cambodian wife is the most important thing in my life, I wish Cambodia good luck in the future!

Cambodia needs time to educate the people and develop them to be the resource of the nation as the world. Even if we have money to hire the world's best leader to serve Cambodia, for example, it is still slow progress because it is just like having the head of a horse but having the legs of a turtle.
I am a cambodian and this is my message to the world: we are a small country that is still undevelop on so many things we have a tragic events in the past involving countless wars. But for this generation Cambodia needs a new leader besides the hun family tree.
I don’t know is it possible for the new leader besides the hun family tree but if he is going to become a new leader I hope he make a good changes for the new generation.
I couldn’t have agreed more. They are nothing but leaches sucking on the poor and powerless people. I agree with you ,I don't think that only the Hun family has the knowhow to rule a country.Meritocray and democracy should prevail ,.It's the population who should choose who will represent their interets the best.
I have different views, I think we need our people to know how the democracy system works, especially including the vote system. People that we trust as good leaders could change his political behavior, his political views after he gained the power, and a good person could become a bad person. A bad person could become a good person. We couldn't depend on someone to lead us anymore. We have to lead ourselves. We need a system that could guarantee the political power keeps check and balance that's we need.

vietnamese are very lucky. you can be communist without being criticized for your lack of democracy by western media. its seems that the only way to escape western criticism is to align with the west and go against china. cambodia just wants to be neutral which doesn't seem to be enough for the western governments
most Cambodians have been waiting and praying for this. They want/need a leader that is about the people and country, not just about enriching himself and his family. I hope that the average Cambodian can thrive, not just survive.
It won’t even matter, voting is rigged and that idiot hun sen has been in charge for so long because he’s killed politicians and made sure he wins every vote, the “new” leader is his son, basically the family is still in charge
Cambodia needs a new leader who will put Cambodia first and the new leader needs to come from else where not related to the current leader. Equally important, moving forward Cambodia needs to function independently without the influence of any neighboring countries.

Hahahah - you have a lot to learn. Look at Singapore. They've shut down and/or limited most of the political opposition. Do you know why? Because it is to ensure political stability. This is why under our wise Samdech PM HUN Sen, he has ensured political and economic stability for Cambodia. H.E. Dr. HUN Manet will continue to build the Kingdom for the better - he has already done achieved and contributed to the Kingdom in his previous roles. Ask yourself why the opposition are either jailed or in exile overseas with the diaspora - they have even been rejected or arrested in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia AND Singapore. Why have even these countries rejected them? Because the opposition has no bottom line and incites hate and political chaos, especially against Thailand and Vietnam previously. Look at the behaviors of said opposition. They have fanned the flames of war through the promotion of hate against ethnic groups and neighboring countries, intending to promote instability and political chaos. Do you think they are doing this for your benefit or for theirs? We all have something to gain, but who has the MOST to gain and who has the MOST to lose. In this case, it's your everyday Cambodian. I am a cambodian and this is my message to the world: we are a small country that is still undevelop on so many things we have a tragic events in the past involving countless wars. But for this generation Cambodia needs a new leader besides the hun family tree.
Yes brother we are cells in the same body we are birthed from Cambodia and will work hard and sacrifice for Cambodia and our children and grand children.
Hun Manet graduated from the United States military academy at West Point - as well as New York University and the University of Bristol, obtaining his doctorate in economics
@@TheMrsJonasBrothers you are a selfish person. They have freedom to live. No matter if they are poor or rich they have freedom to live. Because in Cambodia rich can get away from their action and jail. they have money to pay the police after killed people on the road they don't care about the law once they have power and money.
@@khmer4ever666 I am sorry you feel this way, but sadly money makes the world go round. Pol Pot tried to abolish money and you know the outcome. I hope you could give away all of your money because it’s a selfish thing to have
@@khmer4ever666that’s bullshit. The rich and poor are held equally accountable for their actions. Whether you are rich or poor, if you kill someone in Cambodia, you will go to jail.
*_"After 38 Years Of Hun Sen, Is Cambodia Ready For A New Leader? "_* ...... _New leader? It's just a different glass; the wine is the same obviously Husen extension._
Only get worse for the innocent people. Country is already gone and mutated with VietMinh VietChin. It was the VietChin Norodom Sihanouk, now it's VietMinh Hun Manet.
Would of made more sense to interview someone who has lived in Cambodia and seen what goes on. I would suggest you get a interview with Sebastian Strangio. He was the editor of the Phnom Penh Post and wrote the book Hun Sens Cambodia. He was recently on the CNA new in thier feature on the election.
It's funny how all these Khmer people claim to live better lives now but will do anything to leave the country to places like the US if given the chance 😂😂😂
@@katbunheng2589 haha Lee as a humble and dedicated man lived in a decent house in Singapore and Hun Manet a lavish dictator son you so funny to comapred these family with Singapore dictatorship.
