I was a loner in 1977 all my family that were with my all died by starvation. My mom , two sisters and a brother. My other three brothers and one sister got executed by the Khmer rouge. I was the youngest of the family. It's sad to see how cruel and heartless Khmer rouges were at that time. In 1976 I was like skeleton and was beating up by the Khmer rouge numerous for stealing rice or corns.

Below this friendly atmosphere between China and Cambodia, a lot of Cambodian people were starved to death or killed in a gruesome way. One thing we should keep in mind that China had a moral responsibility for massacre under the brutal rule of Pol Pot.

The only Khmer reforms meant the descent into Asian despotic primitivism. And China was exactly the instigator of this barbarism.
@@semacensis It's not a legend, it's a fact, with witnesses. The Khmer Rouge themselves viewed Chinese Communists as "gradualist." The Khmer Rouge claimed that they would achieve full socialism without going through intermediary stages.

At this point Cambodia is still in a dictatorship with that man name Hun Sen. But at least still much better than under communism. I still don't understand even until today why most Khmer like China so much when they're the one who aided the Khmer rouge regime with weapons that cause this painful atrocities in the past. If China wasn't in the equation then the genocide wouldn't even had happen. Meanwhile if it wasn't for the Vietnamese invasion that overthrow this regime I can't imagine what kind of society Cambodia will become possibly the whole population will be wipe out on earth. If it wasn't the Khmer rouge violation of crime crossing into the Vietnam border and kill 10,000 innocent Vietnamese civilians then Vietnam will have no interest of striking back. For those Khmer who hated Vietnamese you owe the Vietnamese military an apology. We have no intention take over your control like the what propaganda said.
Khmer are grateful that Viets are chasing out the Communist. However, the downside of the Viets presented in the country that they are robbing, raping, and destroying Cambodia at the same time. There are witnesses in this case, especially those people living near the borders.
@@Nathan-jh1ho Because the Khmer Rouge killed a fourth of their population, drastically decreased life expectancy, didn't take their advice, got rid of doctors and teachers, and refused to develop industry.
