I really enjoyed watching your review. I have already watched your review of the CXN V2 and it has been almost four months since I connected to the CXA 81 and I really enjoy the excellent sound quality of the two together and I am always excited to hear the sound of the two. I think the device is very complete and high quality and of course very special in every way. Only I wanted this device to be the same width as other devices. Maybe there is a reason I do not know. Who knows, maybe this will be my next upgrade option.
This was a perfect review thank you. I’m just moving house over here in the UK and as I get my own space I can finally have a proper hi-fi. Whoop whoop! I was thinking of the separate streamer and amp that you refer to and then became aware of this and thought “do I go for the separates or this’” And you’ve answered my questions fully and more (I’m going for the EVO 150). On top of this I’d add that you’ve got a great, engaging, informative and friendly style, with a lovely voice too! It was as much a pleasure to watch it as it was to have my questions answered. Thank you. Now I’ve got to think of some speakers, and I’m assuming that floor standers are best? Any advice? Thinking of spending about £1500 (uk)….Thanks again, keep it up.

I like floorstanders because they have such great performance and I don’t have to worry about speaker stands. Have you thought about the Kef R5 or something else from their line? Excellent design and sound quality for the money. Q Acoustics also makes some great speakers like the 3050i. Hopefully this helps.
Yeah, I bought the CXN V2 last week and only had it installed for a day before I decided I wanted to trade up to this and get rid of my old amp. Great review man!
Very enjoyable review. I have this unit & I find it a brilliant performer. It may seem a lot to pay but the quality of the system is outstanding. If hooked up to some decent speakers - mine's paired with Kef R3s - the Evo 150 sings.
Hey, thank you for the review. I have two questions. In the video I saw you’re using an SanDisk usb stick but it never shows the cover art on the display. Is this normal? I hoped it will show the cover art if the Album or tracks are right tagged. Second question about the airplay. Is it possible to connect speakers to the Cambridge evo via airplay? So I can listen to my music over my Sonos speakers? Thank you for helping me out with my questions.
So if I wanted too I could use my dual binding post speakers remove the metal plates & hook the output speaker A into my tweeter post, and the speaker B into my low end. So then I would be powering 150 watts into the tweeters & 150 watts into the mid bass end? My speakers have 300watt max input. But I would also use my subwoofer out Jack into my sub. Does this system allow for how much bass I send into my speakers? Like right now I set my current cheaper Receiver at THX 80 so nothing below 80 goes to the speakers. On the evo will it always send all frequencies into my main speakers?

I was considering EVO 150 till I saw a NAD C700. For half a price of EVO 150 you get 90% of EVO 150 features + some benefit over EVO are BlueOS platform and bigger screen for more info ( + NAD can show VU meter if you are in to it ).
Cambridge Audio are releasing a dedicated CD transport specifically for the Evo 75 & Evo 150. Worth noting that it will only work with these two units though...
