Cambridge Camping & Caravanning Club Site Review. What did I think of it 🤦🤷🏼‍♂️ 

Morning Graham (InternationalCaravan Vlogger),we have been members of the Caravan Club for 25 years now, but for the past 15 years we have only used the clubs Cls. We got fed up of going on holiday to have no better views than whilst our caravan is in storage on the farm! (Regimented Caravans in rows and rows). Not to mention the wardens telling you what and where to go,the silly cleaning/ closing times of the toilet blocks, always at an inconvenient time. We find that Cls give us a more relaxing holiday, most have lovely views , cheaper prices, caring cl owners that will take time for a conversation and clean toilets ( if on site ) at a reasonable time. Rarely book club sites anymore after they closed a site and left us roadside with nowhere to go, although they did compensate for that. Only book the occasional CL now, and the wife likes the magazine sometimes..

Booking a CAMC site is an absolute last resort for us. To formal, to many rules and I hate not being allocated a pitch which causes the 1pm rush. We love the CL network though which is why I continue to pay the membership. First port of call for every trip is the private network. Stayed at some amazing sites.

A truly top international caravan vlogger would have used his free electric bike for the site tour then charged it with one of the 12 free power banks . Only joking Graham. Top stuff as usual

Been to the site a few times, Handy for Air museum at Duxford also Cambridge itself. The downside compared to CAMH sites with the CCC sites no matter how big the sites only one chemical toilet waste point, and the size of the hardstandings is usually a third smaller than CAMH.The car has to go on grass and is sometimes tight for the van and awning . But if the location suits like in the lakes better locations prefer to use.

We were there last year in the grass field off grid, it was lovely but no decent dog friendly pubs near the site, we ended up going to the rugby club bar which was dog friendly! Lovely to see the Addy's making an appearance! Although, dreaming about them is a bit of a concern! 👍

I’m pretty sure those buildings in the background behind the site are the Cambridge Biomedical campus. Serious amount of public, private & medical charity funded brainpower there! Enjoyed the tour thanks. How was life with guest pooch?

Does look a nice site, and only 12 miles from where I live,. It was me who asked about pitch allocation, I feel special that you specifically brought up my question in your vlog! Scottsdale’s garden centre just down the road from there does nice food if you wanted somewhere to go for coffee and cake.

Part of the reason i prefer the way the ccc do it is you dont need to report back.dont think i will be renewiing with the other club

Not used my C&CC membership for a few years but going to the Dunbar site at the end of July again. I find their hardstandings are stupidly narrow and not a fan of being shown to a pitch. Also have come across several narky C&CC staff members ... the ones at Scone in 2007 being downright rude. Never had that in a lifetime of using CAMC sites. Looking forward to updating my experience tho and like the Dunbar site.

We’re members of c&cc , we haven’t used them much but I really don’t like to be shown to a pitch .

We used to be in both clubs, we decided one was enough and chose CAMHC , big mistake. Next year will be CCC instead, some better deals especially now im a wrinkly and not so regimented, prettier sites too we feel .

Hi Graham, Not a member and never stayed on a camping & caravan site, however just searched for serviced pitches on their website and come up with a blank. I used the filter for hardstanding super pitch but there’s no ‘search’ button, it cancels your chosen pitch type ?? Might join one day as Gail has come across quite a few nice looking fully serviced CS’s. P.s. Looking out for Tony’s reply 😂. Cheers, Rob & Gail

I think you forgot to mention tents, usually with tents you get loads of children which can be an issue if you want piece and quite. Myself I don’t think the C&C club sites are as nice or kept in such good condition, but that is a personal opinion which is my experience. Keep up the good work.

Is the entrance a bit tight to get into?

The no fart rule is one of the reasons I stopping using CAMC. 😊

The Caravan & MoHome Club is sliding downhill very quickly. Never understood why they needed to include MoHome in the title, the need to feel inclusive as Catherine Tates Nan would say ……… 😂😂

If you'd like to borrow our kids for a vlog feel free. Age 14 & 12. You can have them!!

The caravan and motor home club is a joke now. Only stay a member now so we can use CLs and go on rallies.

Have been a member of both find the c&cc more relaxed c&mhc too much dont do this dont do that pity realy because they have some good sites.
