International CaravanVlogger extraordinaire. Caravanner, vlogger, blogger. Yet to be knighted for services to the Caravan Industry.
This RU-vid channel is somewhat irreverent, and I don't blow smoke up the caravan industry's backside. If there's a product I like, I might review it, but it's always 100% on my own terms. All this does of course mean I don't always get offered products to review...
Subscribing to our RU-vid channel is free and you'll find us elsewhere on the internet. We have a website: caravanvlogger.co.uk and a thriving caravan community over at talkwrench.com
There is also a "join" button next to the subscribe button, which allows you o support the channel, which helps us to continue to make content and help the caravanning community.
Hi Graham, my husband and I are fairly new to caravanning and to your vlog. I find your videos hilarious, you don’t take yourself too seriously and you give honest reviews. Was the car wash in Letchworth, it looked familiar? Keep up the good work
Dead right, it is not a club, it is a business run by idiots who would struggle to run a bath even with instructions. Have you seen the latest? Because the deposit system has been so successful they are going to trial reducing it! What happenned to " if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Hi Graham, if you're not sure about the car washing rule on CAMC sites have a look in the handbook, page 665, item 8b. You can use a bucket and sponge to carry out cleaning of lights, screen, windows and mirrors but I think you could also get away with cleaning off pigeon poo mas it was 'applied' on the campsite and it could mark your paintwork if left. The only time I've seen a site warden intervene was when a guy on a pitch by me was using a cordless pressure washer to clean his car and caravan and that was on a grass pitch.
Just lately birds seem to de eating cement when they dump on my wifes car. It is better to use a hand carwash and cheaper. Shame they usually can't speak English!
Around 25 years in the motor trade and couldn't stand it any longer with the constant upsetting. Awful in the end, used to love it, got out 10 years ago. Much happier now. Presoaking that bird 💩 would have helped, before leaving the site and again while waiting for the car wash just to keep it soft!
Hi Graham. Had revenge of the birds myself at Knaresborough, all over my new Isabella awning, took forever to clean. So I feel for you buddy. Thumbs up thumped 👍 .... Pete....
Graham, I feel your pain - washed caravan roof the other day, just packed up, went upstairs to admire my work and a peacock had just crapped in the middle of it (think seagul but 3 times worse). Re CAMC rules and washing. Not long back from Abbey Wood - guy on pitch next door was washing his very large motor home with a hose on his serviced pitch. Two wardens cutting the grass next to him paid no attention, third walked along and told him to stop washing with running water. Advised that he can fill a bucket as many times as he wants and carry on washing but cannot use the hose. So you may have got away with a bucket or two. Keep up the good work!!
Graham. I think you need to invest in a car cover or a piece of tarp to protect your car while you're on your tour. Less hassle and cheaper than paying out for inadequate car wash. Then when you move into your new home you can do a proper job washing waxing and polishing it to your hearts content. Maybe you could inprovise and attach tarp to awning rail on other side of caravan somehow Use 2 king poles and ropes for the corners and there you have a carport 😂😂😂
It's a tricky balance TBH. Most don't like reviews, and there's only so many how to's I can do without repeating my or breaking things intentionally (Mandy wouldn't be happy). Thanks for watching...
Hi Graham,i suffered with tennis elbow,i had injections in both but didn't work .i eventually got some epiclasps ,it clamps round your arm and stops the tendon stretching .
Hi Graham, just to let you know regarding upgrading the payload of a caravan. I contacted The Caravan and Motorhome Club Technical Team about it. She informed me that to upgrade the payload I may have to change the tyres to compensate for the extra payload. She wasn’t able to give a definitive answer as my caravan was a dealer special caravan. I will come back to you at a later date to let you know what changes, if any, I need to make to my caravan to increase the payload, or whether I can upgrade at all. Like I say, I’ll let you know more when I find out. Just to let you know the caravan I have, it’s The Swift Horizon 580 2023 model (Dealer Special Model).
An email link to this 5 year old video has landed in my inbox but, here's my advice based on experience. There is some debate when using the toilet whether the flap should be open or closed. For anything more than a wee the flap definitely should be open. The flap mechanism isn't designed to support any weight and the plastic fixings will break. I know as I've just had to replace the whole mechanism. The mechanism is really difficult to remove the first time especially. I use a short length of 4" wide MDF in place of the plastic flap which gives far greater leverage. Before replacing the mechanism spray the seals with silicone or PTFE lubricant, GT 85 works well. This makes removal and refitting a doddle in future. Don't wait for the tank full warning light to come on. I have got into the habit of emptying the cassette when it's only ½ to ⅔ full. The cassette is lighter and shaking it a bit helps break up the loo paper so you don't get annoying blockages. Happy caravanning!😊👍
I don’t understand why you think the caravan club should have emailed you just follow a satnav which will tell you the road is closed. They’ve got the time to sit there and email everybody they’re Cummings and going maybe next time just take notice of the road closed signs.
Thanks for watching. Not sure I understand the tone of your comment. I did say it was my fault, I was vlogging “live” so that was my reaction as it was happening. They 100% could have told me, an automated process to check who is arriving and a short message is all it would take. Sat nav? Are you joking? Waze had it as a road closed, but only an unhinged person would follow Waze when towing. The sat nav I was using was quite happy for me to go down the road. I admitted it was actually my fault. So you comment it pointless. So there 🤪
Hi mate, I’ve been there when I first picked up my first and only caravan. I was taking it to the storage site to be dropped it . first caravan oh man what a nightmare I didn’t think I was gonna ever go make it to the storage yard after three hours of going down country lanes reversing going down another country lane reversing and then eventually found a route through a bit of an angle just left I did get a phone call from the site saying you need to straighten up your Gavin and when I explained the reasons why fully understood. Reverse camera.😅
Thank you for your comments. I love your program.. personally I think Care is in 10 people get a deal now seems like there is a second-class citizen to the motorhome is van lifers
I've found tiger balm helps my painful elbows. Just rub some into each elbows before you go to bed. It will also clear any sinus blocks you may have. Give it a go.
I could almost hear the monkey shouting from the back seat 'Road is closed up here, didn't you see the sign!' 😂 To be fair, we've all pushed our luck with road closure signs and sometimes you get away with it.
Hi Graham, I’ve only come across your page today (1st July 2024), so I’m I don’t qualify for your giveaway comp… After watching your video, I have to say that, it is very informative. If you were a salesman for Peggy Pegs then I’d be your number 1 customer!!
Thanks for watching, welcome aboard. Most of my videos aren’t as “sales” based 😆Some might argue they’re not as informative either haha. I should let you make your own mind up 🤔
