It’s distressing to see all musicians and actors with so much talent succumb to the over excess of alcohol and drugs. Much admiration for those, famous and not being able to overcome their addiction. It’s a lifetime struggle. Great vlog Darren.

The second best pub in Camden, the legendary Dublin Castle is No1 not for its bar area but because it's still a live venue and it's musical history is outstanding with The Good Mixer 3rd. I started drinking in the Hawley in the mid 80s when it was just the downstairs bar. It used to have posters and flyers on the ceiling and was always rammed. A good few years ago they opened up the upstairs bar and turned their roof into a terrace for drinking, making it a much larger pub and it's great, but in my humble opinion it's old incarnation was better as it's patrons were a complete mix of local punks, goths, Camden nutcases as well as the occasional passing customer who soon became a part of it's rich tapestry. These days it's sadly become a hangout for the professional families who go there to eat as much as drink, but it's Camden and it's the 21st century, so what's new. RIP Gary Buckley my old mucka who I used to go there with most times. Subscribed. P.S. As a new subscriber who hasn't had the opportunity to watch all your videos Darren you or both you and the Mac should do a video of both the Dublin Castle and the Good Mixer.

Love Camden. Best pub is The Elephants Head, well worth checking out, been closed for lockdown but re-opening next week. I was a rockabilly in the 80's and we congregated there on Saturdays, followed by music, beer & sometimes a live band at Dingwalls on Saturday afternoons. Elephants is less mucked about with than The Hawley, more original interior features.

Brilliant editing there Darren, especially the end few minutes, lovely little pub that, just a damn shame such a great talent died 😢 I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news, I was sat in Debenhams cafe in Meadowhall in Sheffield with my now ex partner and I remember just feeling really shocked and saddened by it.
