For anyone searching on how to use the Pixscan mat to cut out your stamped or colored images....you search can end here. I spent almost an entire day struggling with the calibration errors I was getting....and Lolly was my savior today (along with Jackelynn's comments below). Lolly's video makes it so simple and was going to hang it up for another day (not quit)...and decided to give it a go again. Two tips fixed it all. Import your pictures right from your phone (the email stuff just doesn't work) AND shift your matt slightly to the right of the blue line on your cameo. BINGO!!! Got perfect cuts of two stamped medallions. Can't tell you how ecstatic I am that this actually works. Love using my stamps but will not invest in die cuts for them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You are a lady after my own heart, a stubborn cuss. LOL I subbed, liked, alarmed and now am commenting before even checking if you are still doing Silhouette videos. I am new to this and need a teacher like you. You are straight to the point, not chatty. I don't mind the chatty, but not while explaining what to do as this throws me off. We even have the same cutting mat in this video too. lol So I believe you're the one that will allow me to work with this machine.
After 2 days of having calibration issues and low resolution problems, I finally figured out where I was going wrong. Every single tutorial says, "Email the photo to yourself." Wrong! My camera is great on my phone. Here's the work around. Direct connect your phone via usb cable and import the picture to your computer that way. When I finally tried that I have no issues whatsoever. So if your having those issues try it that way! Two years after buying my mat I finally get to use it. Thanks for the inspiration to keep trying Lolly!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm not a newbie to the Pixscan, but today I was having problems with the Cameo reading the registration marks. After many attempts, I still could not figure out what I was doing wrong and it was driving me nuts. I did a RU-vid search and came across your video. I saw the part where you mentioned that you had to move your mat slightly over to get it to read the registration marks. I tried it and voila! It worked like a charm. Thank you for saving my sanity. 😃 I appreciate you and all the other RU-vidrs for sharing your knowledge so generously, so thanks again. 💐
sometimes it's the little things that solve the problem! I have to move mine to the right a pinch, but some people have to move theirs to the left. Go figure. Thanks for watching!
@@LollyPalooza I am so frustrated, I have moved to the left and to the right a little here and a little there and I am still getting the registration error. Please help! Do you have any other advice or tips, I am at my wits end. Thank you
This is SO helpful! I've tried it once, with pretty good results, but am so intimidated...excited to use it for my SU images that I do not want to fussy cut!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Wow..thanks for making this video. I have had the pixscan mat sitting on my shelf for years. I had major issues calabrating..maybe its time to try again.
Thank you for this. I stopped using my pixscan due to having the calibration issues as like you I followed the instruction from Silhouette. Sigh. Looking forward to playing with it again next weekend now. :)
Thanks for this tutorial! I think your tiny images came out so well because you increased the threshold so much, I am definitely going to try that. Also, I am going to try setting my pixscan mat a little to the right when loading. Great tips!!
Lolly thats amazing. A couple of questions is it easy for an extreme extreme tech dummy keeping in my I have no here in person to ask for help .. I have always wanted to it in action and now I'm super excited. The other question is. With hand stamped images would it work the same way ? Potentialy I could save alot of money which is always a goodthing...lol. Thanks for the great demo..🌸🐝🐞
not sure. Do you mean MY videos, or in particularly videos that show what's going on with someone's computer? It might be what you are using to watch it on -- computer, tablet, or phone. I've found that most of the people who notify my of viewing problems are on an iPad, and the second most common complaints are from iPhone users
@@LollyPalooza it's on my laptop, and it looks like a yeld sign but is yellow with a exclamation mark in it, and it only happens when I try to bring in something I've taken off of line like a Google images or some free site I went to
Very, very impressive! Look out Brother, you'd better improve your Scan N Cut software and mats, because you're no longer the only way to scan and cut. 🙂
Yes it is! Companies shouldn't be so arrogant, and should address user complaints. If not, we might just jump ship to a company that is more responsive. 😊
