I own two Peak Design straps for years now, still like new and are high quality build with a good production sustainability pleadge behind them. That's why it also costs more compared to knockoff or cheap copies of the same kind of strap/anchor style. I am an intense daily user of the products as well with heavy camera and lens combos. There is 1 strap I still have that isn't Peak, and that's because it allows a large telelens camera hanging at my hip, below a wide angle camera with a peak strap.
I wonder if the pgytech anchor can be recreated easily because I have many 3d printed pd anchors that work excellently because the design is so simple, I wonder if this different design will be as easy to 3d print
Peak Design slide is Nylon to allow it to slide. If you have a heavy camera and lens combo, R5 + 28-70 f2 for example, you can couple it with a Falcam F38 shoulder strap quick release. This gives a system that hangs across body with the lens facing down with can be slid around instantly for use and the camera can be detached with a button press. Horses for courses. That PGYTech strap is like dental floss if you have heavy gear. It's not a good comparison.
Genuine question: does pgytech offer a lifetime warranty? (Also, PD does offer different strap types/widths, though if you prefer the other brand more, that’s okay too. :) )
Made me want to try out the pgytech strap. I’ve used the peak design straps since V1 (Got that blue limited edition) and now in later years updates to the latest version in green. My thoughts are: While in the field how much twisting and turning do we need with a flat strap? With the more rounded rope straps sure, the turning would be great. The peak design anchors just holds the flat strap in place. Have anyone tried this out and tested it out yet?
Nothing against you, but I do wish companies would spread out sponsorships a bit better this is the 4th time I've seen a video about these, they are fine, but I fully expect to hear about them again from someone else as well soon.
