Watching the vid itself was awesome, but seeing what goes into making a 3min video and how everyone got together to make something great happen, makes it even more awesome. Thanks!
Great job Devin!! I don't think you have to worry, I think everything you touch will turn to gold!! Just keep being the nice guy that you are, and caring about other people, and things will happen!! I can see it in your face and hear it in your voice!! PEACE!!
How could anyone think that you can't do more than bikes and puppies? Animals can be harder to work with then people! Glad you proved them wrong. Keep doing what your doing!!
They use Glidetracks, jibs, fig rigs and Glidecams. Looks like Kessler and Zacuto for most of their equipment equipment. He has discussed in past videos that he primarily uses a Glidecam HD-4000 for the smoother movements. We have some as well, they are pretty much awesome and worth every penny!
I found your channel a few days ago and have been watching your videos. You are very talented and I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing more of your work.
I like the touch of the "throwing all your money in this project". You've demonstrated a lot of charisma and leadership capabilities in your vids...including your talent of course. Now your showing that your have the ambition to maximize those personal traits to tackle the grander projects. :)
Cant deny its cool seeing these videos, but i also cant deny I love seeing videos like the bike jump into water and that type of stuff. Lets just see more or everything!
It's great to see that you now make behind the scenes videos, but honestly, I'd love to see just some raw BTS footage with no one talking and with fewer cuts. The video itself was amazing though, so unique. It kinda reminded me of the Cardboard Warfare.
The guys that owned the tank invited me to come out and watch the filimg of this. It was very interesting and Devin made sure to squeeze in time for me to drive the Panzer III in the packed filming days! I can't wait to see the other videos!
Great job as always. I would love a tutorial on how to balance the glidecam. Especially with a T3i which I know you have used at one point before. It's so light so I'm having trouble balancing it.
Hey Devin if you made a DSLR Workflow tutorial BTS I am sure a ton of people would enjoy watching that. You get such good quality out of your DSLR it would help to see what you use/do!
Hey Devin, you seem to have a good handle on your glidecam. Do you think you could do a simple quick tutorial on how you calibrate it? A friend of mine just got one and we've been unable to use it effectively.
I work as an extra on the film sets in South Africa and I love my job. I am a massive German WWII buff and will relish the day I can be Heer infantry or even Waffen-SS (don't hate me, the SS had some incredible and honourable soldiers in their ranks). Best of luck to you man, really enjoyed the vids!
Very interesting indeed! Will there come behind the scenes-videos with more technical stuff in it like for example Glidecam stuff and so on? Would be very great! :)
I LOVE your videos ..and they way u r passionate about your work and they way u tell your fans everything about videos how do u make it ..frm where u get money for it.......Just wanted to say i am your biggest fan...been watching your videos frm start......and i wana see u doing work on Bigger scale n im sure u will get there.....:)
Devin, what happened with your Africa video? I saw in an annotation that you'd release a video of Africa on May 2nd, and that was months ago. Where's it at?
Lindsey's video has a bunch of clips of her playing violin for the people of Kenya... I would love to see some of the actual footage from these little demos, to see how the children and adults alike reacted to the sound and music she was playing!
Can I ask what kind of camera's were used to film this? it has some really great quality. I'm quite an amateur I'm betting 7d's or 5d's? MKIII's? and len's used aswell if you're okay with sharing. Thanks.
idk what you mean by film camera, for digital video there are dslrs and camcorders, dslrs can change lenses and have more manual settings, camcorders are easier to use, film cameras are a whole different thing for photography. i think dslrs are better but it depends. do some research before you buy anything
How about posting a video of what you shoot with and how your camera movements are so smooth etc. so some of us amateurs can hopefully catch up to you.
Hey Devin!!! I'm a new subscriber and I was wondering what was in that paintball gun... I film too and you would help me a lot if you could tell me also where to get those rounds.
i wish i had your talent! i'm gonna work on it. though it's doubtful i could reach your natural skill. lol only one thing...i know you're making three videos out of this...but are they all less than 3 minutes long? i just figured with such a huge project...and all of your savings...there would be a little more sustenance. maybe a slightly deeper plot or something. either way. your work is epic. hands down. the best. good to see you working with the wong fu guys too. they're epic as well.
Man Devin, knowing the price of Canon L-series lenses, there's like 30K worth of lenses in this video! Canon is very gracious to let you use them! And those telescopic lenses, my goodness!
