Cameroon's Anglophone crisis: Separatists threaten French-speaking regions • FRANCE 24 English

For the past seven years, Cameroonian authorities have been struggling to contain the separatist movement in the country's Anglophone regions. But lately, clashes have been spilling into the French-speaking neighbouring regions. In Bamenyam, located about six hours from Cameroon's capital Yaoundé, nine people were killed and about 10 others were abducted when gunmen ambushed the village in November of last year. Since then, authorities have stepped up security to prevent future attacks. Our correspondents report.

Well actually if you are a born and raised cameroonian like me you would know English and French have alot to do with my country their actually how we define tribes and are our two native lagauges apart from tribe laugages so you basicly don't know what your talking about

It’s more than just the language , the English peoples of Cameroon are treated like second class citizens

@@user-vn9dw8mv6e I believe the Africans themselves are to be blamed, namely the ones who gained power. We can find a lot of struggling countries (South Sudan, Liberia, etc.) on the continent that weren't colonized by the French. Countries irrelant of their colonial background tend to perform better when their leadership take the righf decision. For e.g Senegal, Ghana, Mauritius, etc.
