Giorgi is the most frustrating phenom I think I've ever seen. She has more talent than 90% of the tour, but seems only happy playing from behind and being a victim of her weak mind. So so difficult to watch. What she needs is a very deep meditation practice and to get rid of the spectre of her father around her all the time. Does he realize he is suffocating for her? It's so obvious.
She has won around $4m, and been ranked around 26 in the world less than 2 years ago. That is not bad at all; actually, that is pretty good. I would rather look at the positives, and agree she is a wonderful talent. Okay so she got beaten today. But she lost a very close match to another extremely good player; Dayana is currently ranked 25 in the world, and has a great coaching team. Come on, don't you think you're being a little hard?
@@bigrobsydney She is such a great striker and should be top 10, that is her potential. And 5,6 years ago most experts and fans thought she would reach and stay in top 10 without a problem. So yes, Top 30 is absolutely not bad, but seeing her not developing her game one bit in years, thats the frustrating part, seeing her not reaching her potential.
@@bigrobsydney No. The first part of your assessment is true, and I agree. Problem is she hasn't evolved one bit. Not one bit. She has the same weaknesses she had a couple of years ago.
Camila Giorgi is so fit and she can play very fast and I think she has a lot of talent but her father should understand that she is way too onedimensional. I have never heard any come ons from her, never any excitement if she wins a game, breaks the opponent's game, win a set or even win the match! And she is shy but wears these very sexual outfits like way too short dresses. I think she looks awesome and her body is thin and muscular, so she is very fit. Dayana is also fit, but not that muscular. Nadal knows how to play this surface like no others and you can't be the winner in the long run by using shear power. I have not found many interviews with Giorgi, and none where she is asked questions on her game style and if she considers doing something differently etc. She never hits drop shots, come to the net, she is standing way too close to the baseline for these rallies with the hard hitting Yastremska, who is also rather onedimensional. I really wish Giorgi would start growing a tennis brain because she seems to lack it. Everybody knows how she always hits the ball as hard as she can so she can be good to watch on hard courts. I wish a good tennis coach would contact her and offer her his/her help because she should have won more matches. That I am sure of. Her looks is maybe the best of all of the females besides Eugenie Bouchard. Camila could be such a great sponsor object. She needs new tennis inspiration. If I were her friend I would encourage her to find a new coach. And she might still work with her father, but I think she needs a team to help her. She plays the same way no matter who and which surface she plays. And she is such a silent person.
@No name That comment was asinine and sexist even coming from someone with a name like Adelaide. All these athletes [except Venus, who has her own brand] wear the clothes of their sponsor. That's why you see many of them wearing the same outfit. And in that case, they are all "sexual" whatever she meant by that.
It's good to see that Dayana is progressing in terms of her form. I was expecting Camila to come away with the upset. Wish they didn't have to play in the first round
Camila has a huge potential she failed to develop over the years. No plan B, no sense of strategy. She is a victim of her own emotions hidden behind thousands of double faults. She is really painful to watch although even more painful is to see her being coached by a jerk father sporting the mask as a headband.
What a great match from two hard hitters. I feel like Giorgi reminds me of the modern Jelena Dokic the way she plays. She's rather one-dimensional but what she does she does extremely well!
Thats exactly how i felt. Seriously lacked in rallies and time between points was so long with all the net calls etc and the banging noise of the ball hitting the back fence was driving me mad.
Giorgi is as others have said one of the most frustrating players to watch. She really needs to stop smacking balls right back into her opponent's optimal hitting zone as it allows them to use her pace and direct balls into corners with ease. Also agree that her coach needs to go!
I know this tennis and I love it, but some of these ladys clothes are to short for children to be in the stands, tone it down some a couple inches, please thanks
Yastremska was the more solid player. Her BH and BH and FH return won her the match. Yastremska did drop her level towards the end of the second set though. Giorgi did not redirect balls as well as her opponent. She also played power tennis, and did not make any adjustments after losing the 1st set. Giorgi should've used slices to break up the rhythm, and to also come forward more to force her opponent to overhit. Slowing down the groundstrokes would also mess up her opponent's timing, too. Giorgi should've also tried to place her serves towards the FH side much more.
I'm just here to see how long it takes to mention Camila's Dad 😂😂😂😂 Camila needs a volley coach to instill that dimension in to her game. She would be a great closer if she had that behind her ground strokes, plus she is super fast on the court.
giorgi has always served at this speed, you might have not noticed it because she is not consistent and still lose a lt of service points but theres nothing strange with the speed
@@gerardobaltodano it will improve as she gets older hopefully. She has the weapons, which you can clearly see for yourself. Time on tour will bring maturity and more measured shot selection.
