На этом Уэльсе в каждом туре кто-нибудь да сходит, настолько не ровные игроки; одни сильные, а другие вообще никакие, просто горки гоняют на грунте. Ястремская думает она как её брат.
I already knew Kader Nouni was a very professional Gold Badge tennis umpire, this just adds to my respect for him. He did not only show his professionalism but also his human side by immediately recognising something was wrong with Yastremska, approaching her personally and taking action. Good man! 👍
What stood out also, is Emma really looks concerned about Yastremska's injury, knowing only too well how difficult that is for a player to have to contend with because she also has struggled with injuries the past year.
@@patrick07124 Thanks for commenting. Respectfully, I would like to tell you to be respectful of other players even if you are not a fan of them and to also remember that they are human after all. No disrespect to you intended.
I suffered a hernia in her goin area, it is INCREDIBLY painful. I couldn’t even stand up straight. I don’t know if this is what happened, but I pray she recovers quickly and safely. Love, love, love the umpire… so professional and empathetic.
Thanks for your very positive comment. Our world will possibly be a better place to live in if people could focus more on the positive aspects instead of all the negativity being spewed in the internet.
I grew up in the 70s and I don't recall these sorts of injuries. They are working these athletes like race horses. There's no consideration for their health or spirit at all. I can't imagine the stress they go through from tournament to tournament. So much incredible pressure to win as often as possible. i hope her injury isn't long lasting. This was going to be a solid match.
Players in seventies had no injuries, because they were mediocre. Too much strength involved with today"s game, they need to change the balls, courts, & equipment. Sampras would serve & the point was over, he was winning so much, but his serve blowing by opponents was so boring that people quit coming to matches, but Sampras couldnt win himself out of a paper bag on clay courts. Anyway changes was made to powerful servers that they never got to be number one no more, because of many changes, but the major change was 2 different racket strings vertical, & horizontal. They need to make changes, but not make changes to help boring players like Sampras. There are so much injuries that today"s players only want to win the big money paying grand slam tournaments. Djokovic has won so many grand slams, because he is the only player that wants to play in the money playing Australian Open, because the Australian Open is in the winter time when most players want to take a rest & are out of shape, so to avoid injuries, & take time off & be at home, & cut travel expenses.
@@myronhelton4441 Thanks for your comment. There was so much in there to digest. People usually don't make long comments but you are an exception. You must have been a tennis fan for so long.
Womens tennis in the 70's and 80's had a very small number of actual top players who would blitz 6-1, 6-2 or easier through the field barely facing any opposition until the 1/4 finals at least. Totally different sport today.
I was at the match. It all happened so suddenly, caught everyone by surprise. We were all expecting an exciting match, people started waiting more than an hour before the match to stake out the good seats, it was a hot day and the side of the stadium with the back against the sun was completely packed 1/2 hr before the match. The practice schedule said Dayana was supposed to practice with Sakkari until 10:30am on that court but they never showed. The match started >5 min late. When it happened we just saw Dayana holding her stomach and walking towards the back, then the umpire came and soon it was all over. I hope she'll be okay. Emma showed a lot of empathy, gave Dayana and nice hug and led the fans to cheer for her, she knows what it's like to be injured and they seem to be friends. She was also very sweet to the fans after, they all loved her and ate her up. First time I ever saw Emma in person she is very pretty but very skinny and delicate looking, I'm afraid Sabalenka will blow her off the court😟.
Despite the rewards the players are really asked to play far too much and far too often. Injury has no time to ease or calm down. But it was dealt with quickly and quietly and hopefully the injury is just a pull and nothing more.
Thanks for commenting. The WTA scheduling of tournaments plus the frequent change in balls used in different tournaments is really causing a lot of injuries among players. Too much focus on making money over the welfare of players.
@@tennisobserver995 Is there any data suggesting either of those things? There's always been a lot of tournaments. Have you seen any stories on the balls causing injury?
@@markoshun Thanks for commenting. Yeah, actually I read articles where top players attribute frequent injuries now to the frequent changes of balls from tournament to tournament.
@@XDF745 thanks for commenting. Yeah, they have options not to participate but are forced to because they need the money and matches to improve their skills and their ranking.
Dayana has been playing really well leading up to this tournament. She probably suffered from an abdominal tear/hernia. She hits the ball with a lot of force so it wouldn’t surprise me thru her many matches and training that she might have an abdominal injury. She’s a fierce competitor and hope she recovers soon. Raducanu vs Yastremska matchup would’ve definitely been an exciting one.
@@graphchick thanks for commenting. Respectfully, there's nothing wrong with being woke. But when it's TOO MUCH wokeness, then it veers more towards being negative and it keeps people from doing something good they would have done without any apprehension years ago. Due apologies if I offended you in any way.
Thanks for commenting. I agree but it can also be a disadvantage because she will not get used to the power of a big hitter and Yastremska could have given her that workout.
My thoughts are with Yastremska. I wish you a speedy recovery. Great work by the umpire to notice something was wrong and acted promptly. Sportsmanship by Emma was an example of how everyone should be in the situation.
@@hd-xc2lz Thanks for the info. Yeah, that's very common these days. Media sensationalizing events just for clicks and there are quite a few of them doing tennis.
That's should be the right one to be focus on, we should give them the right attention to the athletes and have a good consern about their physical condition, coz somehow sports had been too much scientific so far from what athletes does compared to dacades before, the pressure of hard work, the intense long rally and tiring practices, I like Raducannu's char who knows and felt something before when she's having a bad condition too,.. ❤ I love the way she gave her a warm hug, so sweet of her😍🙏🌹,..
Thanks for commenting. You could tell from this video that Raducanu really felt real concern for Yastremska because she's been in the same situation before.
I knew for the very first time that Raducannu is a sweet girl but when she's been competing in the game sometimes she became a monster inside her feminine ❤️..🤗
Hope they are crazy about junk foods with varieties of chemically blended toppings. It will definitely spoil your stomach. I saw many videos of kasatkina where I found how they eating.
I wish to Yastremska speedy recovery and hope that this injury will not last long. That hug by both of them are such nice thing. It shows how nice tennis players they both are. This might shut down all Dayana's haters. Plus Kader Nouni being uncharacteristically for himself nice. He usually is unfair and makes bad calls. Kudos to Nouni for being very nice and humanly towards injured Yastremska.
The life, well-being and the health of all the players comes first, no matter what. Far beyond and above speculations, symptoms of not feeling well are effects which demands priority medical, and or, often other pointed cause analyses by experts. Let's pray for our beloved Dayana and her attending Team at this time that she will be well again and that the root cause will be found and addressed.🤔🙏
thanks for commenting. The umpire called for the tournament physio. Players physios are not allowed to tend to their player during matches for obvious reasons.
Happened to me, was in the middle of a match, felt a rumble in my tummy. And my butt hole started pulsing. Damn near blew my shorts off. That burrito was damn good though.
Thanks for commenting. Emma got the win, but in a way a full match against Yastremska which I believed Emma would have won would have prepared her better for the match versus Sabalenka.
Thanks for commenting. You have a point, but I haven't ever seen a player retire with an injury at the part of her body Yastremska was pressing and she was obviously in a lot of pain.
Maybe so. But your guess is as good as anybody's until something definite comes out. But I agree it is normal for people not to want to discuss something they wish to keep personal.
Thanks for commenting. I agree, she has all the physical tools but I think it's her mental side which she needs to improve for her to win the big matches.
@EverythingTennis Great video! Loved the kindness from the umpire. Please don’t say “thanks for commenting to me” you do it to everyone and it’s annoying.
ok, as they say different strokes for different folks. but let me say, you're my kind of tennis fan. not everybody reads all comments, most are only interested in comments they replied to and responses thereto.
By the way, I also read all comments on any video I watch. And there are channel admins in many channels who make it a point to respond to any comment by pasting the same thank you plus request to like and subscribe. At least, I'm typing each and every response and that takes some effort. Make no mistake, though, I'm not offended by your comment.
@@CK_Tennis this time allow me to say thank you. This thing is quite discouraging because you put in a lot of effort and people are only interested in watching highlight videos which are actually the easiest ones to make and get the most views and likes on youtube. If I'm only doing this for myself, I would probably have quit by now because it's such an unrewarding experience.
what's sad about this is the umpire didn't put a hand on her as you normally would if someone was not feeling well or injured. THAT is humanity. Society has rubbed that out, and to humanity's detriment. A man could never do what Emma did whether he wanted to. That, I'm afraid is very sad, certainly for men and for humanity and society as a whole.
@@aleksandrakubala4509 thanks for commenting. The top players have a physio and nutritionist in their team who takes care of what they take during such times, so, yeah, they probably take something to minimize the impact of having their period during a tournament
Would be interesting to see how many of the players pulling out with stomach issues have complied with the Jab and boosters. Rybakina, Vondrousova, Yastremska.... Hurkacz looked like he was suffering same thing against Monfils. All succumbed to the jab ? 🤔
Of course not. Millions had jabs with no problems whatsoever. There were same incidents like this even before the pandemic. Unfortunately, this is all too common among younger players where they pull out of the game when they’re losing. Emma included.
thanks for commenting. Abdominal pain is common, but I haven't ever seen a tennis player retire with an injury at the part of her body Yastremska was pressing and she was obviously in a lot of pain.
Thanks for your comment. Medical personnel are probably stationed in a central location where they can respond to any emergency in any of the courts in a very short time.
That sucks. Cramps sucks. Emma looks absolutely lovely. She could have been the face of tennis but without good coach and discipline she’s losing quite a lot now. She needs mental and physical focus
Thanks for your comment. After her US Open win, Emma really could have gone on and become the face of tennis. However, she's still 21 and she still has time to sort out her issues. I could see the little improvements she's making and I think she will contend in the coming years if she could improve her serve.
thanks for commenting. For me, it's ok to have cameras because there are so many fake injuries in tennis but in close-up shots cameras must be focused only on their faces.
Thanks for commenting. Well, we wont't really know until something definite comes out, so your guess is just as good as anyone's. But you seem to have a medical background, if I may say so.
I think she was faking. The #30 ranking was getting her butt kick 4-0 and was embarrassed and not to lose #30 ranking. Emma Raducanu ranking went up. She has a great tournament and lost 6-4 7-6 to the #2 ranked player. Had a great tournament and went up in her rankings. Ranucanu has played very well and never saw it in her rankings. She has had 1 bad match. She has played upper ranked players and won concisely and lost close matches. She is a top 65-75 player for her performances. It’s time to stop looking at her US Open. She is 21 years old and treated like someone 25-30 years old. She has held her own. Her draws have not been to friendly. She still has performance has been nothing but positive. Emma Raducanu deserves the respect she deserves and is 21 not 25. She is that player that no one wants to play no matter what her rankings are. She gets better each time out. Look out because she will never quit and make her presence felt against anyone
You are entitled to your own opinion regarding Yastremska's injury. I do agree that Raducanu is gradually improving with each passing match and I think she is playing at the level of a top 30 player and can only get better as she gets more matches under her belt
Thanks for posting. If you think Yastremska was just faking her injury, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but let me just say that if you're doing something for the past 10 years like carrying heavy bags around, it won't seem heavy at all. These athletes are quite strong because they train very heavily. You won't be able to serve a tennis ball at around 200 kph unless you're strong. These tennis players are much stronger than they appear.
@@williamjackson2089 Agreed, Yastremska could still win because she has all the tools to beat any player on any given day. However, based on what had happened in the match before the injury, it would probably really be an uphill battle for her.
Actually, most umpires would probably go down to check on a player in such situation, but most would not go automatically in such a short time as Nouni did. And that's why many think it's commendable.
Well, we won't know for certain about that until she retires which is still a long way considering she's only 21 years old. But even if she doesn't win another major, she has already achieved what 99.9% of all WTA players could not. So she's already accomplished something big and I think should be given credit for that.
True ONS is such a different player she has humanity she can't put bad feeling to her opponent even if she loses any match she gives them lovely handshakes with hugs, I love her and always feel bad to see her losing any match. Keep it up queen Ons with the lovely heart she is down to earth.
Thanks for commenting. So many people saying Ons is such a nice person can't be wrong. She really deserved to and I hope she wins Wimbledon before her career is over.
