Based from my observation, Giorgi was expecting a hug at the net. 😞

She was just upset that she blew the lead after easily winning the 2nd set to take it to the 3rd. There was no malice or anything.

Rebecca on Top form. She 's deserve Titile too. But Camilla hit many balls so astonishing. Many balls I watch cant decide it's in or out. This is one of top class fastest ball. Normally I seen ,she hit hard but not high percent of accuracy like this. This tournament is another level of her. Congrats

People underestimate how much of a fighter Giorgi is. She usually gives it her all out on the court.

@@Locke9611 Giorgi was playing really well, but she also hit a lot of lines in this final.

She has never enjoyed giving interviews. She seems pretty shy during on court interviews, but slightly less so in press conferences and one on one interviews. But an on court speech in English is going to be tough for her.

@@doommonger7784 She certainly comes off that way, but off the court she seems very different.

she is one dimensional only depends on power

She has all those shots but the backcourt is her preference and is the current norm for women.

As Rick said, she actually hits those shots rather well... when she hits them. She just rarely puts herself in those positions, and VERY rarely goes for a slice.

@@robertorolfo She has got to be the most single track minded woman on tour. Maybe one day the right coach will get through to her but this young coach presently doesn't seem to have the stones to make changes to her game. Looks more like a hitting partner/coach than a veteran woman's coach. I always wanted her to make use of the short court after pushing opponents back with her power but.......still waiting. At least she's not hitting herself out of matches anymore so, you know, we got that.....

@@Rick9482 I agree almost completely. So far I see zero changes to her game with this coach, and a little bit of variety in shots could be huge. The only think I don't agree about is her being the most single minded. The WTA is full of players just like her, that have one game plan and never change anything.

@@doommonger7784 No one is even close to her in consistent speed shot after shot. She's 5'6 and about 126 lbs. It's all about her timing and up until about 3-4 years ago she overhit quite often making too many unforced errors per match. Nowadays, winners and unforced are about even. I believe the big change is when her dad stepped aside as coach as I think Camilla and her dad were like a perfect storm of bad tennis strategy. She's playing smarter and more consistently these last few years under different coaching. Dad is more like her trainer these days. The top players beat her simply by staying in the rally and Camilla's hitting style usually self-destructs. She has a great variety of shots but simply doesn't use them and it's sometimes hard to watch.

Giorgi has never been in the top 20. Camila’s highest ranking was #26.

I like Peterson's tecnique, definitely better than Giorgi's who's only able to play 🥊 box-tennis :-) I wish Peterson good satisfactions in this new WTA season. She by the way comes from a beautiful country. Greetings from Rome Italy :-)

Completely agree. If only Giorgi had split with her crazy Dad years, ago, she’d be a top 5 player. This tournament she showed excellent precision to go with her extraordinary pace and power.
