I fell in love with both Greta Garbo and Robert Taylor with this movie. As if they both were tailored to play these characters... I can't accept people's refusal to praise Robert Taylor, he is superb here, I don't think any other young male star then could've clicked with his role that compatibly or better than him.

Not before or since has there been anyone as beautiful and talented as Greta Garbo. Untouchable. Great video, excellent work.

I discovered this movie when I was a young teen in 1982... in the movie ANNIE, which is one of my all time favorite musicals, Daddy Warbucks takes Annie to Radio City Music Hall to see her first movie, and the featured film was CAMILLE. As a kid I didn't know if they were watching a real movie or if it was a fake movie created for the scenes in ANNIE. Two decades later I sat in wonderment in an IMAX superscreen theater watching Moulin Rouge, having no idea it was a retelling of that very same movie that Annie watched at Radio City. In fact, I never knew until right this very minute, watching this video. You can imagine the emotions.
