Sept.18: Happy birthday Silver Screen legend Greta Garbo (1905-1990) Thank you and God bless. Thanks for the upload, Jan DeFrank. RIP, Miss Greta. Blessings
Love this outfit, at 0:19. The dress of course, but also the headgear And those great chunky earrings! Now I just need to get the voice and accent right! [giggles]
The 30-50 years of the last century are considered the golden era of Hollywood , including thanks to Greta Garbo ! Now in the world of cinema, there is no one close to Greta and other stars of those years....
osho told about greata garbo. that she worked in a saloon and she earned 2 doller per shaving. but one day a film director came and said u looks beautiful he said u are very diffrent then first time greata realized that i am beautiful. and she became famous actress. and eared lot of money. this is called destiny
music king that's not quite how it went but okay...she was discovered by a Swedish movie director while enrolled in a drama academy in Sweden. But she did work in a barber shop as a very young girl once as a soap girl, lathering mens faces. .
Horrible, loud music, and an intro full of euphemism. In English, "exotic dancer" is a stripper. And Mata Hari wasn't "an alleged spy," she was a spy. I shut it down at 0:18.
A noted preformer, who got caught spying, versus a self-aborted alcoholic. Thing is Mata had principle while Amy was devoid of soul and not desire to do anything but satisfy her own needs.
@@songbirdy I had forgotten about this comment 😂... I might watch it someday. Still think pairing modern music with classics does not make sense. Cheers
@@UnfinishedSwing I used the song because IT kind of sounds like music from that era. And tells the story fairy well. Also; I know it seems like there's a world full of footage/music to use, but trying to match it all up to tell a story is another.. Thanks for checking out the video. PEACE OHC
She was lovley .G.G I notices in the 20s 30s 40s 50s all the acting ladys no derriere they were flat Nowadays my people are in style derriere is in style yay no more flatties in the movies
Yes, down through history the ideals about women's body shapes have changed back and forth. You may want to check out some photos/videos with the real Mata Hari, and you'll see that she was definitely a very curvy woman. Thanks for watching and commenting!
SissyBlackWidowSpider worldPeace C'est la vie mon cherie. Fashion comes, fashion goes, and it all gets recycled...waiting to see shoulder pads brought back into fashion smh lol...we as women though...we should definitely flatter all of our best assets and applaud and praise each other.
Body ideals do change throughout the decades. Today, unfortunately, the exaggerated busts and butts are achieved by surgery and injections. It is as harsh as the old steel and whalebone corsets that actually changed the placement of internal organs. I prefer a natural healthy beauty, not artificial or enhanced to meet questionable standards. For decades Garbos facial dimensions were the ideal ( for caucasian women) Garbo certainly was at her most slinky self with those daring Adrian gowns. No one else like her.
If your body is curvy, Great! But the 'flatties' are also attractive! Let's celebrate the many variations of the female form! It would be a boring world if we all looked alike.
