Leave those tires and wheels the way they are dude, looks way better like that, you’ll realize that if you decide to go bigger. Car is perfect like it is
I'd say practice hole shots with those rear wheels. If you do get an extra set, go 1 inch diameter smaller wheel in the back and compair 60' times. Adjust air pressure as needed and see which hooks
Awesome C4 !!!. I have a '96 , LT-1 C4, and wouldn't trade it for anything. It has great lines, and has a great power to weight ratio. Yours must be a torque animal with a 383 stroker engine. Very cool.
Sweet ride! I have a C3 but I'm starting to look at the '95/'96's because of cars like yours. Oh, you're right... so many C5's and C6 and C7's out there. Nice cars but don't want what everyone else has.
Super nice C4 bud, I'd take a built C4 over a stock C5 any day of the week. (I purchased a stock low km 94' C4 LT1 6spd this spring, hoping for headers/exhaust/port&polish heads next year)
I had one back in 92 had a friend of mine helped me mod the hell out of it it went 11.9 kicked everybody's ass back in those days good looking car sure miss mine!
Way to go on doing your own thing and not succumb to the automotive status quo (ls-swap the world type mentality). The gen II LT1 is a strong platform that still to this day has lots of potential and better parts options due to current technology and the past decade of RnD on cam grinds. Keep up the good work and enjoy that sick ride!
BEAUTIFUL!! lOVE MY 1995 C4 also. Seeing this video almost makes me want to paint mine black, But, I think I'll leave her the Beautiful Frosted Dark Green she already is. Love your Vet!!
Before I got my C5 I had a 97 Z28 6 speed. It made about 380-400whp, it was a absolute beast compared to my bolt on C5. This makes me want a OBD2 C4 6 speed. Nice car brother.
You did great man! Keep that C-4! They are already starting to increase in value. Plus, There are less and less on the road! That car is beautiful. I made the mistake of putting C-6 wheels on my 94 and regret it. Will be going back with the exact same wheels you have.
Nice clean C4! It sounds stock to me! No lopping from the cam. I love the car, it looks exactly like mine, another black on black on black 1996, I have both tops, I have chrome 5 spoke c5 wheels and black leather c5 seats in mine! I still have all the C4 things to make it all stock again when I sell it. I am doing a custom paint job on mine now, black with metallic's and pearls in special areas. Very subtle! Custom paint is one of my hobbies for the last 40 years. Good luck with your car and thanks for the video!
Beautiful Corvette Nice Work Sir love what you do with the motor love the sound of that thing man sounds tough I have a C6 I love driving it everyday doing different mods good luck brother keep up the work
Nice build bro I got my 97 T/A Ram Air LT1 w/ ported polished heads full exhaust high rise roller rockers lightweight crankshaft AFE hydra-rev kit and the 4L80 JET Performance swap my Dyno numbers @ 4700 ft above Sea level. Around 410 hp/390 ft/lbs before I parked it a long time ago because I got red flagged by the stupid DMV😢. Sounds outstanding and healthy. Makes me miss my baby sooooo much 😢
Dude very nice build. I have 28k in my 93 convertible 40th. 383, Procharger, 6spd, LTCC, DynaSpark, long tube, 4:56 gears, Line Lok, Ram Clutch. ZR1 rims, Love It. I am setting mine up for Drag Week Racing. Like the front grill. Was a pain to cut it?
Beast setup mad props super clean I likes your choice of exhaust and wheels 19in in the rear and 18in in front keep em chrome they will look even more aggressive look but the stance now looks badazz.
Exactly that opti - spark garbage is a power robber for sure. I had the entire MSD ignition system with the distributor and the high voltage coil and the 6AL old school captive discharge box and the minute I switched to individual coils from a stock GTO LS2 and did the reluctor wheel and the better ecm it feels more responsive and easier to tune. My next step is to get the complete HP Tuners ecm and software programs then your options are wide open for tuning and upgrading in the future
i own a mint red metallic 1995 i paid $3500 Canadian and painted it $2400 new optispark installed $800 new alternator $400 installed stands me about $7300 thats about $5500 american i will never find a car this good for the money
One of the most beautiful c4 s I ever saw. Is 383 the horse power? I like the tint on the front fog lights!! I have a 96 c4. I will tint mine now. I was told not to slam the hood with doors open. It could potentially chip or damage the paint. what I do is lower the hood and push down one side at the time until it clicks into the locked position. Thanks for the video!!
It’s a comp cam, I forget the specs but the exhaust is melrose long tube headers running to a straight pipe with X pipe cross over and dumps out the rear quarter panel
Reminds me of my father's c4 1985 corvette he got rid of it because it required to much matinence. I remember he rebuilt the whole engine and everything and it was only worth 5,000 at the time.
Seems you have a very base model 96. The seats and the lack of any controls for power seats or suspension give it away. I used t have one similar to yours. But that also means the rear end is a Dana 36 with the base 2.59 ratio. That might need addressing. Cool car and great sound and frankly a great foundation to build from.
That's what I've heard the entire time I was spanking everyone in town with my almost stock T/A LT1 but after grenading 3 built 4L60 transmissions I finally made the choice to modify and fit a built 4L80 from TCI and Jet Performance with a 3600rpm High stall billet torque converter and a nasty shift kit that stuns and amazes everyone I ran with. They would always say "that's an automatic transmission? How the hell did you pull me so far off the line? " 😂
I have a black 1984. With a 406. Cross fire injection. Been 262 mph.at 5800 rpm s. The motor red lines 9.ooo.rpms. I'm thinking about putting 3 injector carbs. See if I can get to 9 grand. That would give Max 1075 cfm. My wenter project. I can already beet the 2019 vetted top speed. And at about 255 mph I moved the steering wheel and all for wheels started to slip on the edge. I love my c-4
Nice car and sweet sounding motor. I'm building something similar at this very moment (well having it built) but a little more mods to the motor. Mine is a 93 6spd. AFR heads, Comp Cams 224/230, 1.6 ProForm rockers, stock block machined/zero decked/clearanced, Eagle stroker kit, Wiseco forged pistons, 58X timing system, coil on plug, full sequential FI with the Holley Dominator EFI to replace stock ECU, and on and on down to even rebuilding the steering rack, that sort of thing. Doing a C4 'cause I happened on a cheap car (3k) that had good bones, I prefer the look of a C4, and - same as you - it is something different. One thing I am doing that you might consider is running 18x11's (Forgestar CF5's in my case) on all four corners with 315/30/18 tires (Rival S for me). It looks great, will give me lots of traction with A TON of initial bite on the front end. 19's would probably be too much but regardless a nice build.
Car looks awesome!!!, but...the front tires are bigger series than rear. They look like 50s in front and 40s in rear. I know the clearance is not high in front, but the look of those tires is the ONLY thing that throws it off. Love the color and minimal chrome. The exhaust sounds great too. Nice job.
