Introduction of my modded 1995 Corvette Follow me on Instagram @LTPower95 for more! If you guys could please help with my current recent condition, please do. Thank You. www.gofundme.com/f/surgery-fo...
Before we got mine it was drag raced and the dude had a heart attack and so it sat in his sons yard for about ten years.. it took some work but me and my dad got it going. It’s beautiful even though it’s only got a primer coat on it at the moment, it’s got a nice ass body kit and rides smooth. If anyones got some good suggestions for a working gauge cluster or somewhere that rebuilds that’s reliable I’d appreciate some ideas😂😂
@Kaitlyn That's a cool story. Sad for the poor man though. Mine was also a somewhat of a rescue car. And yea little by little we work on em. I believe my brother took the gauge out on this one and sent it to get repaired years ago. I'll ask him, I think the repair man was from the corvette forum.
I have my 93 40th anniversary bone stock for 2 years now! 6spd and with FX3 suspension. You just made my day with this beauty. My goal is have all emissions shit deleted and run a race heads and some intake mods to start with. Keep em coming brother! Wanna see more details on that LT1!
I’ve a 1996 polo green LT4/6spd. It’s my second C4 resto-mod. The C4 responds better than most cars with my “shoes ‘n’ stance” build standard. The right wheels, tires, and ride height wakes the C4 aesthetically, but if you are not used to driving a lowered car, take your time and get used to it. I’ve a lot of parts and build ideas that I have put off for some time. Seeing this car and another RU-vid C4 has made me realize how much I miss mine. The C4 has a build and drive fun factor that few others can approach.
What you say is true about the c4 platform. If you're going to start with a pretty cool build, i would like to see its progress. Do you have an Instagram? I never finished my vette, I'm moving into my dream car the C4 ZR1 and finishing my ultimate build on that instead.
@@VetteWerks I think the ZR1 is an amazing restomod project. I had considered it when I bought mine about 8 years ago. The cost of building and modifying the LT5 is considerable and rather put me off. I’ve considered an approximate build cost of $25k, including ~500hp, so the LT5 would take quite a bite out of that. I don’t have much of a social media presence, but my nephew has tried to convince me it may be worthwhile to document. Others in my local Corvette community, especially the C4 fans, also like the idea. I may do this, although I’m a private person, I have always valued the camaraderie of fellow “car guys”, particularly Corvette (C4)enthusiasts. I would hope to get things rolling later this year. Would love to see what you get up to with the Z. I think the C4 is finally getting some respect, beyond just “kids” straight piping and beating the shit out of them, so disappointing to see.
@BAndersen-ee1xy The C4 community on Instagram is 👍🏻 Hmm.. the cars consist of mostly stock folks or basic small budget modification 'builds'. There are a few strong builds and currently in the works builds as well. So far, I've never experienced any negativity on that platform. But the people like to see a progress page, just like yours would be if you decide on getting started. I suggest that you do for funzies. Yep, the LT5 would cost 4x to make the same power as an LT1/4. But that mighty engine can surpass them in power. My idea is about a 730hp +/- NA LT5, it'll cost me about 50k at least on engine alone. I have more ideas. Everything will be touched up, powdercoated, repaint, slight further widened rear fenders, full interior, custom wheels again, yada-yada-yada... everything. The Werx. It's a huge expensive project, but the Z is my dream car. So you can count on me to build something truly special. Or, one can dream, at least.
My boss has a 1986 C4 with the full high flow cat back Corsa exhaust, SLP intake, MSD ignition, aluminum radiator, Grand Sport wheels, Brembo brakes, aftermarket coilovers on the front, and monospring for the rear end, and polyurethane bushings for that instant steering response! The seats have a lot more side bolstering than the later C4 and you might want look into them as an option for your seat upgrade. Nice work on your car!
Beautiful! I'm an Import guy but I bought a '94 6-spd on a whim in 2016. I really enjoy the car. I'm actually glad it's not a top choice Corvette. It makes it that much more special to those of us that know.
You know I was never a huge fan of the c4, but I will say yours is so tastefully modified and too me way more rare then a c5. Every so often you come across a clean build that makes you think "maybe I should get a..." and this is that car for me. I think you have done an excellent job so far on appearance and performance!! I hope you enjoy her and stay safe, I will be checking in from time to time to enjoy her from my screen as well! Thanks for sharing (: - A Built C6 Owner
Hey, that's cool, and thanks. I'm stoked this vette helped you change your mind, I get that allot on Instagram. There are plenty more crazy plans believe me, and I can't wait to continue after I get through this mild medical issue. My brother has a decent modded LS3 C6!
@@VetteWerks that is sweet!!! Glad to hear your brother is a car guy! I hope you are doing well and get better with every day. I have subscribed and am ready for the ride (: can't wait to see where the car goes!
That thing is clean!!! It's rare to see a good-looking c4 Corvette. This is one of the best looking ones I've ever seen. I used to hate them when I was a kid. I thought c4's we ugly and slow, but lately, I've started to like the look of them more and more.
very nice one of the if not the cleanest c4 I've seen in a very long time my girlfriend dad has one when he passed the car's been sitting she asked me if I wanted I wish it was a manual I would say yes this is an auto I'm on the fence it's a 40th anniversary
the wheels and pads suit the car perfectly. It’s not easy to fins rims that match the car. stock wheels also suit the car very well. I think the ferrari f40 rim style also would work with this car.
Mine is a 87. Yes you want to beef up the transmission. I had mine built for 700 hp. Cost $4500 plus $1000 for a racing converter. Then look at your driveshaft and yoke. I have a Blueprint racing engine in mine and made sure it is NHRA qualified for safety from the flywheel back. Costs some $$$ but cheaper than a C8 by $75,000.
Good idea, that's sounds like a sweet ride, you got an Instagram? I was looking at PerformaBuilt and gave them a call, the guy knows C4 4L60E's. It's a $2800 with core I think. He makes good points, gets lighter and stronger parts and takes care of the main weak points. Trans comes finished in a nice silver too. I'll get it soon. First, I'm getting some crazy stuff done to this vette very soon 👌🏻 stay tuned
Good morning Vette Werks. I don't have an Instagram account. I post on FB. Friends say I need a YT account with all the video's a have. Our C4 platform can go in so many directions from drag, to road race, or any place in between. I'm pleased that they are getting a second look since for a tenth of the cost of a new C8 you can have a fun ride. I'm installing a new computer now and looking at paint options. Lastly I'll add C5/6 brakes. Keep on posting!
So you only drive on sheets of glass? :) That is a fantastic looking 95! Those rims and that stance are phenomenal. I just could never get away with something that low. Wish I could :) Great work!
Yea I pretty much have to know the roads where she drives on. The suspension is set pretty harshly hard though, yea can't have it bouncing around. She will not nose diive during hard breaking much at all. Rides like it's on rails and turns on a dime, but sacrifices comfort. The most important things to worry about are, oil pan doesn't hit, along with the impact bar/skid plate and lastly the long tube headers.
Working on my 91 right now got the engine out cleaning up engine bay painting etc. and dropping trans for rebuild manual valve body and a better convertor.
That's great, well worth it these cars. But I gotta take my engine out for the stage 2 and maybe forged bottom, my trans just slipped hard a bit ago, that revved the engine up real high and messed with the valvetrain somewhere. She ain't running right, trans time too!
Nice keep up the vids I'm thinking of doing custom Led side markers parking likes and all rear and find a way to retro off road led bars for the fogs to be headedlights. Are you running c5 caliper brackets or a actual c4 brake kit? Also your 95 OBD1 still correct, did you reprom a prom or how did you tune. I really want to convert to E85 too.
@@Mr.Vazquez Awsome, I want to use the fogs as headlights as well. I'm tuned with Solomon, so I have an good email tune with him that I loaded into the ECM. These brakes are made for the C4, the only C5 part would be the ebrake steel braided cables that attach to the Wilwood ebrake calipers and the existing ebrake line from the C4.
nice, I'm hesitant to do any major mods though since turning will be a issue for me and the 91 obd1 and prom set up. I want a copy cam etc but without a tune/tuner probably going factory reseal head bolts mild top in tpi set up port just really want her going again. 152k miles when I parked her still running with Ac just old and small oil leak drove me to this lol. I have a set of 2 piece american racing 17s for the era with the magazine from a c4 collector. off set alot in the rear need grand sport flares seriously.
You did a great job. I had a c4 and got rid of it for a foxbody mustang because I wanted back seats for kids. The c4 is so underrated. On my channel you can see mine pulled on a few cars on short races. The c4 is good everything you wan in a car besides bad weather driving. (Not that I dove mine in bad weather).
Thx dude. Yea they are underrated, they are great in all performance categories. And right now the LT1 has proved itself lately as a powerhouse for drag racing. Hey cool Civic stuff, I've been thinking of a Civic AutoX build or something like it recently.
I have a 94 with a greenwood body kit and recently lowered it and really looking for a new set of wheels. I know you might now want too but if you are kind enough I would love those wheel width and offset specs I can’t seem to pull the trigger on any set because I’m not sure fitment will be good. Super clean 🧼
I was thinking about selling these to a man in Canada with one of the 3 original Greenwood vettes. So if you're interested let me know. I'm still somewhat thinking of it myself because these are nice one offs made to perfectly fit the C4. The sizes are 11x19 +45ET 295-305/30R19 and 9x19 +39ET 245/35R19
Magnificent ! A gorgeous all American super sportscar classic and icon, looks absolutely stunning, sounds and certainly goes the part in terms of driving dynamics and performance too. Californian registered plates also, that is the American Dream right there !
There is a torque procedure for the traction control system, it something like 5 foot pounds and a drill but under that plastic cover on the left side. Might help with your shift issue. Old car stuff.
The LT's were good engines i had a LT4 in my 97 Fire Hawk i know it was a little more higher performance then the LT1 but still from the same LT family i never had a problem with it of course i took care of it though and never beat the dog shit out of it even though i had it modded to the hill and back 😂 i actually liked that car more then the 01 WS6 Trams Am i had with a LS1 . Beautiful Vette my dude good job on the upgrades.
Nice ride. I'm a fan of the Trans Am Firebird LT's myself. They even look better than the LS1's, in my opinion. But thanks, I hope to complete my build soon next year.
Cool. No, it doesn't bother me for now. I'd maybe place a strip of the soft side of some hook loop (velcro) on the intake box as a quick fix, but I wouldn't like the look. Maybe there's a better way to install it, but I did a clean job cutting up the shroud, can't see how else it will go on. Be careful measuring and cutting your shroud. I used white metal marker paint, an angle grinder, and another set of hands. I then dabbed the bolts tips 🔩 with the marker and fed them through the intake holes so I know exactly where to drill on the shroud. I want to install the greenwood vents on the original hood, so if I end up painting it red inside and outside, I would come up with a way to clear it.
@@VetteWerks Thank you for your thoughts and reply. I hope it don’t have a rubbing issue too and I hear you on not want to have Velcro or otherwise to cushion. I actually thought about sanding it down to remove the texture and painting it. Thanks for the marking tips for cut and drill. I recently installed the Greenwood vents on my hood. It will be nice if you paint the underside of the hood too.
Hmm, but I'm gonna need to do that trans build, weeks back she collapsed a lifter or cracked a roller rocker...? She's running okay-ish but something wrong inside. The slipping made the engine spin probably around 6700rpm at 80-90mph. Gonna do the stage 2 top end & trans soon. Then the custom body kit you'll see in my Insta. Thx for the tip. I think the manual mode uses another set of clutch disc's.
Yea visit my Instagram and watch the old stories and you'll see what I did. I worked/prepped the parts and used Selmers & VHT spray to restore whichever parts I did. For lowering I use Vansteel coil overs which use Hyperco springs 500f and 425r spring rates. Hard
It had been repainted in 2020. I had the car since '13, the front bumper was still all red. It's hard to tell if it was repainted long long ago before because while the paint needed a reboot over the years since I've had it, it was done very well, solid. I'm thinking it was original paint 🤷♂️ but all red bumper.
@top jimmy Ah well you can get it to 600hp NA easily those LT5's. Chris compared it to his supercharged 650hp C7 Z06. Plus those LT5 are just indestructible :) For me the ZR1 is my most fav vette. Followed by a C6 Z06.
@top jimmy ha! Sorry to hear. But no doubt I mean 10 of the C4's. You are king 👑 I got a nice following on Insta too. I get messages every single day about C4s Go for it! Hurry before you die!
I may paint again, she was painted 2 years ago, even the handles. With the futur work I'll do I might just do it again because me and my painter did a good quality but budget friendly job on it, just so it's not too too nice, like a garage queen, cuz she's a street car $3k.
@@VetteWerks I'm prepping mine for paint again ...I shaved the door handles and mirrors and I didn't use the correct product to fill those openings so I had slight issues...I taught myself to paint years ago...I have cheap equipment but my work actually turns out better than shops and if any mistakes clear coat is easily fixed after curing. I've had good luck with economy paint products.the key is reducing sun exposure and putting adequate amounts of clear on the body...not sure about today but older vehicles were not painted to well from factory...they skimped on clear coat
@@mariocooldude9092 I meant the paint job was 3k and that's with body damage. Anywho yea the secret is in the prep work and even good clear. Do you have Instagram so I can follow the prog?
@@VetteWerks ohhh ok ...that's a significant price but not bad if repairs were required. My cat is two tone and the lower portion never needs it so I typically paid around $1K for paint jobs. I no longer have a space to shoot it so I may have to pay a shop this time which I hate to do because you never know what was done. Shops can represent like they care and are detailed but thats just talk many times. Their Painter is the heart of the operation and if he is having a bad day because his dog died it his girl dumped him that's liable to be reflected in the quality of the job he does. This happened to me, that's why I said my paint work comes out better than shops...his had tiger stripes on my hood and a deep run in my rear bumper cover. I had zero issues and I shot it twice in the past 10 years in a bay storage facility I rented without any ventilation. Painting isn't difficult just be hard core about cleanliness. You can fix Minot runs and Orange peel afterwards just takes time and sweat equity 😝 but hey it's well Worth it for the satisfaction of doing it yourself. And with the cash you save you can purchase better grade clear coat or a camshaft or exhaust upgrades 😝 non metallic colors can be sprayed with your eyes closed 😝 you really cant screw it up. Any cheap brand is fine because it's the clear coat that preserves the color coat. I always ask for the most cost effective brand. I haven't been documenting this process really...I hate photography 😝 it's nice to help others learn and admire but I suck at it. I plan on a short video when it's completed just to see the reactions, I've not seen another C4 shaved before. I got rid of everything, mirrors, door handles, badges and side marker lights. The body shape is sexy as it is this just accentuates it in my opinion. This Saturday I'm installing a fiberglass front bumper cover as the old one had too much warpage to work out. Retails @$750 grabbed it off of Facebook marketplace for $200 but it's not a simple bolt on by any means. Should be interesting 😝 none of the holes are predrilled just dimpled where they "should" go 😝 my guess is they're going to be off the mark significantly. But what the hell, the price was too good to pass over. Installed a glass one on the rear in 2003 from Ecklers in Florida and it was a pretty accurate fit 😅👍
I might have exaggerated the hp bump haha, more like 5 whp. but it's for sure been tested back to back and proven to gain hp when deleting a mechanic engine driven pump.
They are pretty race focused. the shocks are so awsome and the springs keep a similar weigh no matter thow low. Be sure to get the high spring rates. I could do a hard stop and she won't nose dive.
Brooo i follow you on insta lol i knew i recognized this bad boy bruh seen you went to Lake Success for a photo shoot. Swear I hope to own one of these C4s with the same upgrades
Ehh, I installed them, I'm no pro but I don't let any mechanics touch my vette. The waterpump and relay kit I got it from Meziere's site, the radiator is a Champion 2 row, you can find it on a few eBay stores.
The top end build is based on a Lloyd Elliot LE1 Heads and his custom grind cams. I'm moving to LE2 which I suggest. All the other supporting engine performance mods would be based around that. He ports the Heads, I do and spec most all the work. With the exception that Lloyd bench flows his port work and matches Cams, for best possible combination.
hello. what brand is the mufflers??? do you delete the resonator??? do you have an example paper diagram?? thanks .... too much perfect the sound.. i want to wake up all my friends near my house
Check out the short vid on my channel. You'll hear it better. It's a Corsa Sport Catback Exhaust System. The very front has Exotic Muscle's own 'Corsa Marrying Tubing' into the Exotic Muscle Headers.
As an old school muscle car guy I like everything you did with your corvette. Except the widening of wheels just causes problems. Hope you had the vette professionally tuned
Thanks. The wheels are a multipiece so they can be widened by replacing the outer barrel (lip), originally I was going to go with that wider spec, with an extra inch or so on the lip.. but at the time the car was just painted some months ago so I didn't want to cut the fenders and install the gs flares yet. I should've. It's just a matter of fender work. So the prob with the trans is a tune issue. The engine revs and inputs quicker, so now the shift point which is just under the rev limiter are fighting each other. Will fix with a re tune
what type of headers do you have /BRAND and was there a lot of modification? are they shorty's or long tube/ I have a 92 C4 Eliminating the opti /Converting to spark coils. HEADERS, fuel injectors, headers, timing chain. ANY HELPFUL PARTS BRANDS?
These are Exotic Muscle headers, non-EGR and catless with full ceramic coating. The fitment was easy, sliding them on was easy. But I found that during the header install, only a couple of bolts would be much harder to feed in, one on each header in my case. I simply used a step drill bit to shave the hole to the side a bit more where I needed the space, as well as make space on the inside diameter just a tad, too. The only other problem from there would be fitting the headers to whatever exhaust system you use.
A double roller timing chain will not fit your timing chain cover, so you will need to trim the inner cover to clear, or convert to the '95-'96 cover, look up how to do that.. I suggest the cost efficient 'SA Gear Double Roller Timing Chain' kit. That kit would be much cheaper than the Cloyes LT4 heavy duty hardened timing chain, and almost just as strong. Get the Accel 30Lb Injectors #150830. Much nicer than the Bosch. Stockers are 24lb injectors.
Most of the build is planned, then the parts are individually sourced from different sites. As far as the engine goes, it's basically based off a Lloyd Elliot build.
I had to increase the diameter for the bolt holes on the flange, for each header. I used a Milwaukee step drill to elongate the opening, like an oval. Other than that, it's pretty bolt on. But installing whatever else catback system after is another story. I would go American Racing Headers.
How has smog testing been with your engine modifications? I see that CA plate and was wondering if you've encountered any issues? -A fellow Californian with an 89' C4.
Oh this won't pass at all. Doesn't have egr, air pump nor any cats. The smog is needed soon so I gotta take it apart, stock and smog, then put everything back together again unfortunately.
I'm learning that it's a problem with the rev limiter and the actual shift point, they're only about 100 rpm apart and they fight each other up there. There are some ways to fix it but I haven't looked into it yet, good news is it might not even need any rebuilding.
@Kyle druktenis My TPS is non adjustable, but for your l98 make sure your TPS is working or even adjusted correctly. I read this is also a prob for shifts. All this could be fuel related as well, like cut off, which I notice while bouncing the limiter. We'll see when I fix mine I'll post a vid of it.
@@VetteWerks i sent mine back to him 2 more times than said fuck him, i bought another pcm from flashmasters and had them do the basic stuff, removed speed limiter. Egr delete, rev limit at 6000, fans on at 192 off at 180. Then bought a jet stage 2 module and it rips way better than what dumbass so called did for a tune, crazy broad torque off bottom and pulls so hard up top and i have alot of mods and it definitely makes more power with jets module it piggybacks the pcm
@I love c4s I see. That's good. Mine being a 95, I can't use the other online offers. Other than the slipping the vette is a total beast -_- But she'd slip in the 6700rpm or more range if I don't let off. So far, very recently a lifter collapsed from those super high rpm visits. So I'll need to replace that. I'm thinking of the TorqHead unit next, except I don't think their kit will fit my huge valve covers, I'll need to find a way to mount everything.
