RIP to this young brother and thanks to him at the same time. His legacy lives on in Flau’Jae Johnson. Elite rapper and national champion in women’s college basketball.
His daughter Flau’je just won the NCAA National Championship for LSU! I just learned about her and what happened to her father Camouflage 😢 I’m sure he would be so proud!! I wish we could hear more of his music. She is a rapper too - very positive messages I just became a fan!
2pac influence all in his delivery and lyrics here. Even used la-la la-laa from hailmary and the piano roll sounds like pac ft bone thugz song. Also pac was living in Georgia in 96
R.I.P. Jason Akeil "Camoflauge" Johnson (December 9, 1981 - May 19, 2003). R.I.P. James A'Darryl "Soulja Slim" Tapp, Jr. (September 9, 1977 - November 26, 2003). Long Live Camoflauge & Soulja Slim
Tbh i think quando really fulfilling flauge dreams before he both from the village only difference is flauge 2 decades before quando so quando learned from flauge n bugga mistakes n got tf up out Savannah before someone findouts out his addresses n come for him n went to Atlanta just sneaks in n back out of town to visit family n close friends n get some good home cooking n get the hell on til nexr time i think his daughter playing ball more anyways she aint been getting much buzz lately but we see quando everywhere with new shit he n tim pulled Savannah out of Atlanta shadow.
It still blows my mind at how many people I grew up with never heard this song. Even to this day but I love being the one to introduce them to him💯 Rest in Peace Camouflage🙏
If you had bet you didn’t have a choice😂THIS WENT TRIPLE PLATINUM ON UNCUT😂 NAH, but this definitely was one you’d catch yourself singing & rappin’ along.
@TAshaBee777 that's how I found it🤣 Weirdly though some of my friends and later on in life never heard of him. Idk why or how, but I'm just glad they got to hear him🔥👌
Flau'jae speaks soo highly of her father I had to come check him out... and my heart just broke, this man was talented I remember him now didn't know he died
I came here because of the rap game, I wanted to see who this legend was..... and honestly he was really really GOOD! I like his music. Sad that he died, I would've loved to see more of him. Why is it always the great talents that die? And they leave us with these mediocre rappers? Most of the artists in the industry today are trash.
Shenika Sanders Well not all gay guys are trying to push an agenda. I get what you're saying about them trying to force it, but thats far from the issue, its deeper than that in my opinion.
CAmoflauge was like a early 2000s version of Boosie..........................................................................Augusta, Georgia Checking in
I remember Camoflauge from back in the day - he was just starting to get air time hen he suddenly dropped out of sight. I didn't find out what happened to him until I heard his daughter's rap about his murder the other day. *cries*
@@newphilmz3605 mane I tell people this all the time and they say I'm tripping. When Lil Wayne reinvented himself around 02-03 he Definitely studied camoflauge and Shawn Jay from field mob (some more artists that don't get their credit)
Here because I was locked up in Eastman Ydc when I was 14 and all my Savannah GA and Macon GA homies talked about this dude like the Atlanta guys talked about Ti. Rip to a real ☝️💯💯
Ten years since I found out who Camoflauge was pretty much, and I'm still listenin' to him on the regular... He never made a shitty song, and that's straight fact.
He was destined to have been heir to 2PAC and Biggie but that energy and talent now flows from his spirit into the being of his baby- girl...Flaujae Lil Mama Johnson...
I can't wait to hear Flau'jae perform this song some time in the future as a tribute to her dad. R.I.P Camouflage and congrats to Flau'jae, keep doing your thing girl, your dad is smiling from heaven.
He was the same age as Flau’Jae when he was murdered. So crazy as her life feel like it is just starting. Sad he never got to see everything she became.
My grandparents on my father's side are his God parents. Him and my father were close, I'm 25 now and can distinctly remember hearing these bangers on the radio otw to football practice for the Savannah Saints LLCAMO
It's been over 15 years since his death so unless you were hip to the southern scene around that time, it would have been easy to have missed him (even though this song/video was on Universal) Good to see KRIT continue to keep his legacy alive
i grew up down there played in the Savannah supergoose Had his cd saw him in his car with candypaint of his album all the time with my mom riding around or on the way 2 practice we lost soulja slim that year if soulja was new Orleans camouflage was 100% Savannah that was a sad fucking day
