Camp Chef's Brooks Hansen Makes Elk Parmesan for California Deer Camp. Making superb equipment for cooking outdoors is something at which Camp Chef excels. During an August 2023 deer hunting to Paso Robles, California, where we used Mossberg Patriot rifles to hunt Columbian blacktail deer in the sprawling Steinbeck Vineyards, Camp Chef's own cooking wizard Brooks Hansen was part of the group and using tools such as Camp Chef's Woodwind Grill and Pellet Smoker, its attachable "Sidekick" propane-fired unit, plus a dual burner outdoors stove to create some masterful dishes using wild game as the centerpiece.
