We’ve had our Z Grill ZPG-450A pellet grill for a little over two weeks. ru-vid.comUgkx3c8DmtYRYEKYTiR4g7y6Yc2amUPVs_3X It was relatively easy to put together, with 2 of us. (friend and I)The grill seems well built and heavy duty. I followed the start-up directions, and then cooked chicken on it that evening. We’ve since cooked burgers, pork chops, meat loaf, and steak on the Z Grill and love it. I’ve used a hardwood mix (per my Son-in-Laws recommendation) and we are very happy. Like cooking in an outside oven with a nice smoky taste. This is a perfect size for the two of us, and would probably work fine for a small family also. All the things we have cooked have kept their moisture, and remained juicy. No burning on one side!My next challenge will be a brisket. We highly recommend the Z Grill 450A, so far. Hopefully they did get whatever “bugs” fixed from previous models (per the description on Amazon). I’ll update our review after a few months.
Hello, I enjoy watching your video on the Camp Chef and I'm thinking about buying one. Can you tell a difference of smoke flavor with the smoke settings? Thank you for all that you do.
Hey. Your video made up my mind to get one. I'm in Australia so bought it locally. Got the sidekick and the front folding shelf. Thanks for the vid. Cheers.
Can you please comment on the appearance that the side burner appears to no sit flat and the potential for oil etc to drain to the downside of the setup?
Really a nice job Jaben between you and Jeff Rice you guys do a fantastic job reviewing these smokers I think if they would combine a Pitboss pro series and a camp chef it couldn't be beat
The reverse searing capability using the sidekick makes it versatile. Nobody wants grease dripping down in the ash cup; bad design there. Sidekick rocks though.
Do you notice grease dripping down from the right side of the lid to the underside of the cooking chamber? It's a great grill, and I'm happy with everything BUT this.
Did you pay for it or was it provided? Camp Chef in my experience compared to others isn’t very good quality. I’ve had paint issues, igniter issues, and probe issues among other little things. It also has very thin metal. Customer service will take care of you, but that doesn’t make it a better grill. I switched to a different brand and haven’t had any issues since.
@@jeremiahguadan2624 I have four other pellet grills. I have a GrillaGrills Silverbac, a RecTeq RT-590, a RecTeq RT-1250, and a RecTeq Bullseye. All are better quality than CampChef.
I wish I had that good experience with mine. Too much to explain here. Customer service was non existent and I am basically using the sidekick portion. The bottle opener works so at least I can open a beer and admire my $1200.00 paper weight.
I love my pellet smoker I still use my stick burner and UDS but sometimes these just come in handy especially when the snow Flys and I don't want to run out to the stick burner
@@JamesBerkey not if you know your cookers. It’s a “set it and forget it” Easy Bake Oven. Basically I’m old school, if you have to plug it in you aren’t cooking outside. If it works for you great, just not a fan.
Camp chef uses cheap parts I was burnt badly do to manufacture failures camp chef knows exactly who I am I'm here to tell the world the gas regulator valve was bad on my camp chef treated horrible fire I was badly burnt if your use it once or twice a year you'll probably be fine but if you use it everyday camp chef is very dangerous
