Easy and pleasant to use, works on gasoline, no priming required, love this one.

Views and Reviews almost 300 pump strokes. Compare that with 30 you need on Coleman Featherlight.

How much fuel did you use? Only supposed to pump 20-50. Red line is absolute max like if you pump it more you’ll break it 🤣 Trying pumping the tires on your car/bicycle to the max. You’ll have fun !! Lol In all seriousness just don’t pump it that much. 2) lubricate the pump shaft/gaskets so you don’t burnout the rubber. 3) Just be safe and have fun 🙏 Great video gave me a laugh 😆 ☺️👍

I have the SOTO Stormbreaker (same pump) and I have never had to pump like that, was there only a tiny amount of fuel in the tank I wonder.

It says the 1000 ml bottle half full (350mls) needs 210 pumps. You don't have to pump it from no pressure except when you move the stove and maybe want or need to relieve the pressure. I just top mine up when it is in regular use in camp. The pumping is easy enough and not an issue or annoyance in practice.

Was all that pumping necessary? Seems ridiculous. Impressed with the stove and burn.

Good review. Man I got tired just watching you pump it. I had one and gave it to my brother. To much pumping for me. I like my Omnilite or dragonfly more.

pleased I watched this vid the pumping is ridiculous. Sticking with my Msr Dragonfly and Primus kit

If you watch it he only has a small amount of fuel in the bottom of the bottle - that’s why he has to pump it a ridiculous number of times because the bottle is nearly empty. If it was full of fuel it would only need 20 or so pumps. It’s the same with any liquid fuel stove when your bottle is low on fuel.

The Soto Mika has so many O-rings that are points of failure. The O-ring of the fuel bottle pressure indicator failed, leaking fuel, and there is no replacement o-ring for it. Some forum posts from years ago wrote about receiving a replacement pump from Soto. However, Soto hasn't replied to me. The MSR dragonfly has very fine simmering control and is fully field serviceable with far fewer failures.

Totally agree. I owned one. And its leaking causes fire after a few years of using.

I have Primus OmniLite Ti, had to pump 10-15 times max, I guess your bottle must have been pretty empty that you needed that many strokes, crazy. I love my OmniLiteTi but this one, oh god that pump also with that knob instead of simple flipping the bottle.. priming looks very complicated as you need to go through full output, no real simmering it seems to be dieing out. On mine I just let some fuel out, prime few seconds cause small burner does not need long priming and I crank it up, nice blue flame. This one oh boy I am so glad I didn't get Soto hahaha

I found it simmers quite well but you do need the windshield in any wind when simmering but I make porridge with it and fry up eggs and bacon no problem.

Its funtional tuning bottom on the pump is not durable. The worst of all is that you can't fix it.

Ridiculous....250 strokes to pump it up to the red line...it’s a complete work out I’m not gonna buy this stove for that insane work out

I have the same stove and only pump around 40-50 times like on my MSR stove, I don‘t know what he has done there? Also it is better to pump slower, speed is not always good. I prefer this stove against the MSRs where the whole pump is made in plastic. Build quality is way better on Soto.

@Hin Håle yes the Storbreaker is for sure the better but also much higher price. For my needs the Muka is good enough.
