Every year it’s become a custom for me to give this a listen. Wonderful! For almost 20 years Lionel Barrymore was his generation’s Scrooge on radio. He stated this was the the role he most wanted to be remembered for. ❤

"A Christmas Carol" is universally assumed to have been written by Charles Dickens, but 14 years of careful research convinces me that it was originally co-authored by two Americans, Mathew and Abby Whittier.
