Keep an eye on the frame down the road for corrosion and once some starts showing up I would rust check it Much easier and more effective than to try to go through the painting process again with the house sitting on it.
Nice work cleaning up the trailer! Are you concerned at all about the floor frame not being all treated lumber, or are you sealing it off from the elements?
My plan is to put metal flashing at bottom of the frame, to block rodents/weather from getting inside. I’m currently looking at different options, it’s a serious step to this subfloor!
Hey Cody, just curious about the weight rating of your trailer. What size are those axles and what is the max weight you are going to try to be at when it's done? I have a camper trailer I want to do this with, but the weight rating has me really worried.
We are planning on installing stronger axles and springs before we move it. Right now it’s on jacks and I’m working on it in a shop. I was worried about the same thing!
