A couple things from a veteran camper. Don't be afraid you go #2, use a Camco Swivel Stick to flush out your toilet when emptying, from inside your RV, it gets the toilet clean. They also make tablets to drop in to take care of the smell. If hooked to a campgrounds sewer system, always leave your black tank valve closed. If you leave it open, liquids will run down, but solids won't. So wait until the tank is about 1/2 full and then go out and open the valve. Also, when emptying the black tank, empty black tank first, then gray tank, to help clean out the hose. Put a trailer coupler pin on your coupler while pulling. It will make sure your coupler doesn't pop off. It's cheap and safe. I know the Baja has the enclosed underbelly, but I would make sure that it's insulated as well. You don't want those pipes freezing when you're out during the winter.

They make small solar panels you can connect to your battery if your dry/off the grid camping, your fridge will need the dc power along with propane... if you battery dies the fridge won’t work so a little panel will help keep it charged, and if it’s cold and your going to be running the heat be sure your propane tank is full before every trip, looks like a 30lb tank so that’s a good size for your camper..

Look into winterizing it, most trailers like that won't be able to handle the cold without hoses freezing, etc. Also think about a composting toilet, not nearly as bad as you think, better than crapping in the onboard...

On the storage compartments under the table make sure to close up the hole and put a handle or something because we had mice in ours and they just wreaked havoc on our seats.

I have the 2018 174 Baja and sometimes pull it with my 2008 FJ. I love it for overland camping and find if I can drive the FJ there the trailer will also make it. Happy trails and enjoy your new rig

I loved watching “Gone with the Wynns” in the early RV days and several other travel vlogs with RVers. Cool camper bro. Perfect size for your growing family. I noticed that you are not using a weight Distribution system with anti sway. Look up Equalizer Hitch. It really helps in keeping the trailer from swaying due to high winds or when big rigs overtake you. It's a safety thing that's very important. Shoot me an email if you have questions. Great video. We just bought the 2022 Baja. Love it. We set a 21 inch tv right in the counter top. Fits perfect. We move it to the outside or to the dining table when the wife needs counter space. I installed a husky weight distribution hitch. It’s a must. I’m pulling with a 2017 Tacoma sport. No sway at all. Electric hitch a break controller and a backup camera is something to think about. We love ours. Happy and safe travels.

When you take a shower if water gets outside the shower just be sure to dry it up with a towel when you get out, want to avoid water damage at all costs!! We had a micro lite years ago and if you bent down in the shower your butt would push the shower curtain out and water would get out..

I don't mean to insult you, but when you said you were ''Noobs'' with the trailer, but at 0:19 you need a padlock or pins to secure the handle that grips the hand to the ball because in inspection of vehicule you could be liable to a fine. Also, i recommend that you cross the chains because in case of separations of the trailer and the vehicule, it will be more effective to retain it. I congrulate you on your trailer.

I just ordered the exact trailer, I had a question what generator are you going to pair with your trailer? The DC battery doesn't give any power to the 115v plugs and the AC. I also ordered the upgraded AC unit just like yours. I'm in the process of figuring out what is the smallest, most fuel efficient, and most quiet generator I can run. I plan on only using the generator only when absolutely necessary. Congratulations!

Great looking rig! Is it a 4 season? I've seen people use cordless drills to lower their leveling jacks on the outter corners of RV trailer. In regards to the TV, can you mount it under the cabinet, or against the wall and have an accodian swing out mount?

Not 4 season yet. We will upgrade it. I will be getting the drill attachment for sure! And I think we are going to just not go with a mounted tv. It will be ok 🤘🏼

You are the exact kind of owner I’m trying to learn from. We are trailer noobs too and looking at this same model. Planning to use it as a base camp for weekend snowboarding trips to Whistler and Stevens Pass, WA. Can you share what you plan on doing to make this work 4 seasons? It’s a bummer that Jayco doesn’t offer the cold weather package on their smaller trailers.

I would put caulk on the outer wall of the shower so it doesnt leak. We have a jayfeather that leaked around the shower and we had to put new flirting in the camper

Mine came with 2 12volt batteries! I also got the one with A/C in the wall above the bed one less thing to worry about on the roof leaking! Great trailer overall and anybody with a brain can use this trailer.

I haven’t noticed any updates from you guys. How’s it working out? I just bought a 174BH (check my new videos), and while I like it, the build quality is pretty bad, sticking doors, leaking pipes, panels coming loose, stabilizers falling off, etc.

I have a 2021 Jayco 184BS too. I’m doing cold weather camping. What are you doing to battle the extreme moisture and Condensation on the windows and screens? I have a dehumidifier going but there’s still a ton of moisture!

I run the hood fan over the stove top at night helps out with the moister. In case you don’t know the vent on the outside needs to be unlatched from the outside for the hood fan to push out the air.

So smooth man! I love it. After I drove 2K miles I got comfortable and couldn’t tell I was towing other than gas. You will get a lot of gas. 120 miles to a tank. Also have a some extra gas with you just in case 🤣
