Very good point on taking photos of the installation, build, and repairs/ upgrades for future reference. Helen was very smart to be away whilst you were working on the tanks.👃😱

A few more jobs done. When I was apprenticing I had to deal with the float switch for the waste pump. Aventually we put sensors in similar to the ones you took out! Taking those photos was a cracking idea. Stay safe Dave atvb 👍👍👍👍👍🦊

Thanks Raynar.. yes having them photos sure helped in nailing the locations.. the water sensor did last 7 years.. the black sensor suffered from corrosion where the rods meet the plastic bit at the top!!?.. 😁👍🏼

Tidy job Dave, I’m waiting on an Amazon order today because I don’t have a 16mm drill bit to open some holes up a bit more. So will reinstall my subwoofer in a new board as it’s rattling in the cupboard door. 👍🏼🛠🚚

Hello Dave, you are very busy! You are building the car a second time. Who buys cheap, buys twice. That has always been the case. But the level sensors are standard. They are installed in so many cars. Doesn't the diesel heater bother you when it's running and you want to sleep? The noise is quite loud, isn't it? All the best from Germany, Frank

Hi Frank… technology moves on so items sometimes need replacing just because there now old..and them old sender units wasn’t accurate for our needs. Heating! we never have any heating on at night when we sleep, even in the mountains… 🥶😁👍🏼

Not a Good Idee to bolt the stainless steel sender with the aluminum washer/disc together. It will rot away because the potential of the two materials.

🤔 although I don’t know how the materials work with each other I understand what you are saying… cheers

@@Overlandtraveladventure Dave I found this that might help. I'm sure you fixed it already. How can we prevent galvanic corrosion between steel and aluminum? Applying coatings to both materials. The coating on the cathode is the most important and must be in good condition, otherwise the galvanic corrosion could be worsened. Separating the two materials by inserting a suitably sized spacer. Installing a sacrificial anode that is anodic to both metals.

Once again thanks for the video, very informative. I know where to come for advice if I have a problem. 😉 the only thing I’m working on at the moment is whether I need a power pack or not. Small in comparison to your days. 😎🍷🚍⚓️🇬🇧👍
