Thanks for this video. I think it is one of your best. The video montage to begin was very well done. Keep up the good work.....my methods for choosing campgrounds are very similar to yours, but more and more I've been relying on youtube video reviews with tours once I narrow down my choice to a particular campground. They help to firm up my choice or show me that it isn't the best choice, and I need to look further. .... We enjoyed our one night stop over at Wytheville KOA so much we returned for 5 nights last October because it was a location we could make day trips out from to bike The New River Trail. We like the upper wooded sites because that whole section is more like the state parks we prefer than a resort campground and the sites are larger, but the bathroom is older although clean. I also keep an ongoing list and many of the campgrounds you mention are getting added to that.

Just a suggestion, if you use Google Maps instead of Google Earth you will see images shot near where you're looking. It also has of course satellite imagery, but also Terrain maps. And occasionally it will have had a Google car go through which lets you literally go through the park, stopping to look at sites. Google will also provide comments from people who have stayed there, they aren't as useful as Campendium, but still good info.
