I am sorry for all the ridiculously negative posts. These days so many people seem to live to go on social media and be mean! This video shows a lot of great creative ideas - it certainly inspired me! Thanks for the ideas!
I run into the issue of not finding all items shown in my local DT. What I have started doing is taking pictures from the video & go to other DT outside my local area. I can then find these missing items. Yes it’s time consuming but it’s worth the drive to find these gems!
Good video. But I think keeping soap pods in the original containers is a better idea for kid safety reasons. They don’t need a separate container to make it look pretty
I thought of this too. However not everyone has kids so if you don't have kids and what to have a prettier container to hold them in this would work well.
Great video. I watch videos to learn!! This is a free way to learn. This is not a forum. You are free to leave and not make mean remarks. Don't try to ruin it for us!! Many youtubers quit. We love this channel!!!
Hot glue is not always the best glue to use. It very easily can detach from things like glass and non-porous surfaces. Try E6000 for a more permanent bond. You can use hot glue with the E6000 to give an instant bond while the E6000 dries and cures. Better for anything that will be used a lot or will be holding any weight
It's not great. We keep our water bottles on top of the fridge and it didn't sit flat. Plus water bottles take up more free vertically, so it didn't save space
That's what I noticed, too. She knows about it but chose to ignore the fact that this "solution" didn't work. Why not be realistic? Not impressed. I can come up with all kinds of solutions that don't work.
@@cremebrulee4759 yeah, I mean I get how someone would have thought it would be good, it got me 😂, but it's clear she knew it didn't work, as she didn't close the door. You know what those things are really good at holding? Notebooks and small books. But everything is a hack now 🤷♀️
@@cremebrulee4759 MY solution is to not have more than two bottles.....if I get water in a bottle I reuse it a few times before tossing, I have seen in some peoples cupboards and geeeeez louise they are full of those dang cups/mugs/bottles etc....and then when they purge to clean they toss most of them out! lol
I like creating a Snack Basket for my grandkids when they come over. I have it sitting out on the kitchen table so they don’t have to go looking through the pantry. It’s all in 1 spot for them, easy to see and easy to choose what they like from the basket. They know that it is especially for them and they don’t have to ask if they can have anything from the basket.
I have a gum ball machine in the toy closet and there is a bottle with coins next to it. They always ask first if they can have one, but they love the special "treat" hiding in grandma's closet.
I did that same thing with dish tubs like the video did with those plastic baskets. The tubs were the same size but more sturdy - used them for canned items, small boxed foods, rice packages, etc. - and had wire 3-shelf shelving instead if in my pantry - worked very well!
Some of these “great” storage ideas take up more space than just storing the items by themselves, space I do not have. Impractical unless you have a ginormous kitchen and a room-sized pantry.
Exactly! Like when all they did was put “organizing” storage in the fridge, it just means you can fit less in the fridge at one time, and you’ll end up having to take more trips to the store more often, which is not something I want to do just for a “pretty” fridge (plus, it will be twice as much to clean next time) 😂
I bought some pods to try them out & I kept the container. I decorated it & filled it with my insulin needles. They're individually sealed & all fit in the container so it saves space. 😊
These ideas take up more room than the products originally did! Maybe would be good for a b&b, so everything is visible, (or a husband who doesn't know where things are?)
Some of these ideas are very helpful, but many of them seem to be redundant. The little plastic bin that was put in the fridge door bin was just a bin in a bin. I’m 52 and when I was younger I was always looking for ways to be more organized. Now that I’m older I’m realizing that the key is to stop buying more plastic. Recycle and repurpose containers instead just buying more and more and more. I repurpose jelly and other food jars for leftover storage containers. Plastic is not good for our health. Glass is much better.
Well the creator of the video is a content thief not giving any credit to the original creators. 🤷🏻♀️ So that’s probably why they have a lot of repeated information.
I love these ideas - but will only take the suggestions on the non plastic items. Trying to minimize using plastic but the rest of the suggestions are great. Thanks for the ideas!
This video shows imagination and the creativity of organization. I see where some work for me, not all. Honestly, I saw other uses for the items shown for the same Dollar Store items. We live more easily with less stress when our everyday world is not cluttered. Very cool video, thank you. 😊👍
Im moving in a new apt that alot of my storage, n place to put things is gone. One thing is gone, is for my fry pans. I didnt have a clue where to put them! Then i saw your shower caddy idea. WOW!! Gotta buy 2 of thosse n try it out!! You have such great ideas!!
All really great ideas but I never have only a few items to store in cute baskets. I do love the diy shelves to add more vertical space-thank you for the idea!!
I liked the ideas for the white carrier with a s’mores kit and the green bucket with candy bars. The entrepreneur in me thinks that these could be a great gift basket ideas. I also liked the book bin one as I recently bought some. I am using them go get stacks off the table and to keep magazines together. I hadn’t thought about sitting them on the side. And although I don’t plan to keep plastic water bottles in mine, it does make me think more out the box about the different uses. Or how they might be reoriented to display the contents at a lower height.
@@felicial7628 just a thought about the s'mores carrier: it is convenient to have everything together, but if you leave those marshmallows out for too long they're gonna get hard real fast..not as great for melting. Just saying ✌️
Some fruit containers have holes in the bottom. Putting them into a solid container keeps the juice from leaking all over the fridge. I reuse salad tubs to do the same thing, though.
I used three of those 12 x 12 square grids from bookshelf cubes to make a pot rack similar to your bathroom towel pot rack. It runs vertically on the wall space behind where the pantry door opens and has worked really well for 15 years. The wire grids are kept away from the wall by mounting them on wooden trim strips that were screwed vertically into the wall. The grid is attached with screw-in cable clips in several places. I used large S hooks from Ikea to hold the pots, metal strainer, a rotary whisk, and BBQ tools hang along the bottom edge. It realllly saved on cabinet space. All the lids are in a deep, long, clear bin from Ikea that fits perfectly in the narrow, deep cabinet next to the stove. Those bins have been incredible storage for the lower cabinets so I don't have to stand on my head to pull things out.
Just discovered you and subscribed. Thanks so much! Oh i love the drawler thay goes on the fridge! Thanks gor all these! Im gonna try most of these! My fav contact paper is marble prattern too! Now i want to try all of these! I just moved into a house that lacks any storage and lot pf drawers and cabinet space. I am inspired!!
It seems like many people don’t come to watch the video for Tips & Hacks but to point out ALL the things wrong, bad, ridiculous, unnecessary, stupid, etc about the Tips & Hacks. If you don’t find something useful…..move on! But you can’t! You have to point it out! Show them how smart you really are! I should call Mensa and let them know where all the geniuses can be found. 😂😂😂
“Influencers” are not the only voices that matter. When someone tries to PROFIT from influencing people to be wasteful and/or the ideas shown aren’t realistic, it’s important for viewers to have the equal opportunity to communicate that.
Unfortunately they’re right. I used the blue baskets they showed for can goods and guess what - they cracked and plastic shattered immediately. So all that glitters is not gold
Well, somebody has to point out that these are not tips and hacks... otherwise, how will you know? Here's a helpful tip for you though - you can't actually "call Mensa"!
We are just trying to let people know that we have used these items and they're not sturdy enough.. or in most of the cases in this video, even necessary 🤷 I would appreciate someone who knows better telling me that I am about to waste money 😅
With the exception of the fridge organization segment, most of these were practical. The shower caddies used to organize pots and pans and the lid storage hack were brilliant. The mini shelving unit was cute but, and you can see it in the clip at the end, if you wrap unpainted wood with contact paper, it will not adhere well for long.
It is must safer and your eggs will stay fresh longer if you leave them in the container they were in when you bought them. Keep them in the main part of the fridge. On the door is not safe because the temperature on the door drops a little every time the door is opened. If you move the eggs to a container, you could drop or Crack them during the move. If the eggs have bacteria on them, it contaminates the container, and you will have to clean it thoroughly before you add another batch of eggs or anything else. It is easy to verify this advice by contacting your health department. I worked at one for close to thirty years. But your other ideas were very helpful. Thank you for making this video.
🤦🏿♀️The milk in front, on the glass plate¿🤔¿🤔¿🤔¿ 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️Whytf🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ Milk should be in the BACK of the frig anyway. Itz the coolest place and keepz milk FRESH way past the due date...try it out ***However, I've seen viddies 4 frig org that made sense, thiz frig video did not!!! Not even an E 4 effort.🤣🤣🤣
Why did you use all of the punctuation marks? It's not a question. It's not an exclamation. And it's not actually even a sentence, since you left out "It's" at the beginning. Learn basic grammar.
I don't think punctuation is the important message here. Having a child die because dishwashing pods look like candy...I think she did just fine getting her point across. And she is not writing a book. She is conversing like she was speaking, not always publishable.
Do you have any good suggestions for Pantry Can Organizer? I have wire shelf racks in the garage that I need to be able to see and get to my canned goods more easily.
ooh I didn't see those clip fridge things at the stores by me.. I did get the egg one recently tho. I also appreciate your use of the caddy for baking supplies... that def would help me, I am forever trying to find everything when I get the baking itch.
I haven’t found that exact refrigerator pull out bin yet. Most of the ones I’ve seen tend to be too big on the bottom. Someday, when I least expect to find it, there it will be.
@user-xv2sv9vp7m, I was thinking the same thing. And that organizing-the-fridge thing wouldn't hold up in my home; we don't buy the same items all the time, so what fits in those baskets during week#1 won't necessarily fit week#2. The thought is good, but.... I did save this video to review, though. I'm finally renovating my kitchen in 2025, and that pan-and-lid organization did make aware of some things available affordably; Icould never afford, Bed Bath and Beyond.
The clear bins that hang from shelves do not work in my fridge or my cabinets. The long clips that are supposed to slip onto shelves are too tight to slide over shelves
Some really good ideas. Dollar Tree is supposed to carry lazy Susan’s now. The outdoor organizer could be even less expensive to make if that’s true and the quality is good.
I organized my freezer by using these plastic baskets like drawers. Things used to get lost in the back, now I have basket drawers for veggies, popsicles, anything and it it categorized.
We have only one Dollar Tree in our local area. Ours just recently started to carry many items that are shown in videos. Our store is smaller sized as well. However, you can order many things on their website and they deliver to the store very quickly.
Ok fair point, but I'm just gonna go ahead & say it...if people aren't responsible enough to either skip this idea or take extra steps to ensure their small children can't get into where the container is kept, then it's probably not a good idea for them to have children in their care to begin with.
