Pro tip bro, your gonna want to always add a barrel swivel when fishing all inline spinner style lures! This prevents line twists and knots and you will get 100% advertised action out of your lures! Alot more flashing and movement, more bites! Been following your channel for a while now, you still own my dream exploration vehicle/setup! Awesome! Thx for the new vid!
Dude that’s hugely helpful! Thanks! I actually had to cut out 30’ of line at one point because it knotted up. I’m a largemouth guy lol so I don’t use swivels on anything, but now I know. And thanks for following along, I really appreciate it!
With truck and camper in this configuration. Do you use the truck for anything else? Or is it strictly overlanding / hunting / fishing? I am trying to figure out my 3rd gen.
Definitely makes things more challenging, but I use this truck for literally everything, I tow trailers for work constantly, I commute with it, etc… the only thing it really changed for me was that I use a trailer for most things now, but that doesn’t bother me too much.
next time you cook those Farmer John sausages, add a little bit of water in the pan and thank me later! Cooks them perfectly! Damn, now I'm hungry haha! Great vid once again!
Cool spot the sierra’s are badass. Damn I just realized since your last video I was getting jacked up to start the build on my truck since then I’ve built it and had it out on 3 trips so far headed out this weekend. Love the channel you should start a merch store you have a cool logo I’d buy some shirts/sweatshirts. Also since I started watching I find myself playing where’s Waldo looking to see what gun you have hiding around lol.
Yeah its an awesome area! You should upload a video of the build, I'd like to see what you have done to it. I'm looking into how I can start selling merch, will definitely let everyone know when I start doing that. And that's hilarious! I try to be somewhat inconspicuous with the guns because "RU-vid" lol
Nice work! Love to see Cummins video. Do you disconnect the front swaybar? Im usually disconnect for my jeep. It will be very nice ride if you have a lot of rocks and potholes on the trails.
I haven't tried that. It's a little more involved on one of these bigger trucks than it is on a jeep. would be nice to see how it reacts though. Might have to give it a shot sometime. Thanks for watching!
great video, beautiful area of the country. Closed for 4 years, is that common? I love how the forest service will close a popular area, then complain about overuse on the other areas after closing a popular area......
I know, super frustrating. The info about it being closed for 4 years was the information that the gate "guard/attendant" gave me. There's a possibility that he doesn't know all the info, but the dam rebuild project is going to take 4 years and he said it will be closed for the duration.
How did OnX not know about a government closure on their maps? Happened to us during filming our Divergent Pathways series and we actually had an OnX employee with us lol
That's a great question! I'm planning to go back to their website and see if I can report it somehow. But it was a bit irritating to get all the way out there to find out the area is closed lol.
I didn't see anything about catch and release only in the regulations. But here is a website that shows all of the lakes in the area, so if you click on whatever lake you're planning to fish, you should see the regulations for that lake. apps.wildlife.ca.gov/sportfishingregs/
I appreciate where you’re coming from. But this place is already very popular and not because of my video. If I find lakes/places that aren’t well known then I use much more discretion in sharing locations.
