Join us on our camping adventure at Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine Florida! First we explore a little bit of downtown St. Augustine before heading to Anastasia State Park, where we jump into the ocean before setting up camp. The next morning, we cook up a vegan tofu scramble over the campfire to give us energy to hike the Ancient Sand Dunes trail in Anastasia State Park. Hope you enjoy!

I am a vegetarian, but when I became a vegetarian in 1975, there were only a rare few vegans around. Your videos are nice. I have lived in Florida for 26 years having moved here from California. I never get tired of Florida, but after 13 years in California I escaped and will never go back.

We’ve been there several years ago. Loved it during the Holidays! Went up in the Light tower. Trolley took us around seeing the Xmas lights. Enjoying all your videos! You 2 are amazing! ❤

Darwin’s bark spider, the Orb weaver their webs are stronger than Kevlar, it is really great when a person can identify, not screaming and knowing facts about spiders! I am a massive lover of tarantulas and true spiders, you have really impressed me! ❤️

Very nice! We just camped here again a few weeks ago and loved it. It's awesome that it's right next to the St. Augustine amphitheater. You can walk right from your campsite to the concerts!

Good decision on locking the food in the car. The raccoons there are bandits for sure and are very skilled with getting into coolers. The music you heard was probably from the amphitheater that is located on the edge of the park. We have enjoyed many concerts from our campsite. Also…for those that don’t want the long hike on the boardwalk to the beach there is a shorter path right off the camp store. If you go back you should paddle on the Salt Run there in the park. You can use your own or rent a kayak or stand up paddleboard and paddle down to the lighthouse.

Racoons are so clever aren't they? Wow! We've been to that amphitheater many years ago for a concert but that would be cool to be able to go camping and hear a favorite band right from your campsite. I also liked the O’leno start park video you posted …Back years ago.. the park had a ghost ride at night through the trails. They had a tractor that pulled a wagon with benches on it that you could ride in the Ranger would ride you through the woods. He would tell ghost stories everybody really enjoyed it . But as always somebody didn’t do what they were supposed to do and got hurt I want to trail and they had to cancel it from that point on . That’s a beautiful park and we enjoyed it when our boys were younger. Thanks for bringing back great memories to this old man ❤️

I just did a video on St. Augustine today as well! It is an amazing place. Anastasia beach is definitely a beautiful one. I also hit some places with vegan friendly options, including a grilled cheese place!

Thanks so much for the question! We're happy you're enjoying. On this trip we went in September so almost the same time as now. It's a nice park and a tip is if you can book a concert right next door at the amphitheater it's amazing to walk right from your campsite! 😊🎶

How did you camp free? Since this is a state park, you have to pay to reserve a spot.

Oh! Sorry about that! That would be awesome to be able to camp here for free but since it's a state park you have to reserve a site. Usually if it's a national forest then you can camp for free most of the time. The campsites are fairly cheap though for tent camping. It's a cool park to visit and way worth it to bring a bike to bike across the bridge to St. Augustine. Hope that helps!

What tent are you using? Does it have a floor or are you just using a ground cloth?

Thanks for the question Mary! This was a backpacking tent we've used over the years called a Mountain Laurel Designs Duomid. It uses trekking poles to stay up. We'll probably be upgrading our tent pretty soon since we'd love to have two doors instead of one. It's actually two pieces where the inside is a net with a floor and zippered doors. We've been looking at another that's all one piece which would be really nice! I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
