Our last camping trip for the year at Grasshopper Campground! It was our first time here, and we had no idea what to expect. We spent most of our days catching crappies from the shore. Apparently, this lake is famous for trout fishing, but they're probably deeper in the lake. Aside from fishing, there's a plethora of hiking trails to explore just right across the street from our campground.
There's no rental options available, so make sure to bring your own outdoor equipment like bikes, kayaks or boat to fully enjoy the stunning lake! Also, bring bug repellent - there were tons of mosquitos our last night. My bug repellent didn't repel, and we had to take cover in our tent the rest of the night being swarmed by mosquitos .. so if you can't handle the skeeters - I suggest to pick a different campground.
