That's familia dude , that's what we do here in Maui, my familia , my parents took us, to the Kern in the early 60s

How did you get to put your tents so close to the river? Aren't the camping spots a lot further uphill?

This spot is a first come first serve area. So it’s not a place where you need to reserve nor a camping site. You are on your own here 😊

We want to do the same thing. Maybe you can share how you use the restroom when you camp at the free for all camp sites. That's the thing that I am worried about lol 😂

@Seventines83 hey there !I do a lot of solo camping in the mountains, find a secluded area awy from others dig a 6 inch hole and do you're business. Then, cover with dirt..that's all

Does this place require reservations or is it open land? High ground clearance needed for this road or could minivan make it?

Does not need a reservation, it’s first come first serve. You only need a permit if you are going to use anything with propane. Which you can get online for free. And yes a mini van can make it 😁

It’s an open spot, you don’t need a reservation. It’s first come, first serve :)
