Marco needs to publish a trail/overland cook book. Also, I like your idea of more cooking videos. I think that with your style of documenting, they would be extremely popular. I know I always anxiously wait for your next installment. :)
I fully support the cookbook I love the cooking videos that you put out so far with Marco I made my own chimichurri sauce it was delicious on some toast
This video illustrates how Jeepers can have completely different perspectives on wheeling but genuinely enjoy someone else’s point of view on both build & what wheeling is for them. Great community building Brad, well done!
Just watched both of your videos, and enjoyed both of them. Thank you guys for making great content for us to watch. 😊 Also, I seem to be lacking a Marco in my kitchen.
This is an absolutely great Jeep channel with a nice mix of wheeling, camping and of course Marco's cooking......very entertaining and lite brite to boot.
Love this, buy it, you need this, can't live without this.... all just happens to be sponsored items given to them for free. Pretty much just one long commercial. Man I miss the old days of YT where people were just sharing information.
Brad, This was an awesome video. Enjoyed the comments and perspective of each member of the trip. Marco and his creations are always fantastic. It would be nice to see more of him in the future. Mountain House, MRE's, Rice/Pasta Sides,Jerky,GORP and Packit Gourmet are just some of my normal menu items especially when solo. But watching Marco is changing the way some of us view trail food. Nice Work Sir..........Thanks.
You are killing it with your videos Brad. Quality, content, and your natural speaking ability makes your videos smooth and professional and fun. I gotta say too, you are making it really hard for me right now not being able to get out there with you all. Man, wish I could meet up with you all and do some trails!
Jeeping Adventures with Joe & Kim Thank you guys for leading this trip! You are all knowledge! I really enjoyed camping with you! I’m pretty sure there will be more adventures to share together!
Raif Zakhem we love it. The ride on road is firm in the corners handles the bumps amazing. I like coil overs as the ride height is adjustable from 3.5” to 8” of lift. I can dial in the adjusters on the resi for a firm more weight carrying or go softer to smooth out the trail. We have no regrets on the Rebel Recon kit on our Jl. We like it so much we have the same kit on our jk
Jeeping Adventures with Joe & Kim That is great to hear. I was concerned if was going to be to firm/rough for on road driving. I’ve been debating between this kit and the evo kit. Just haven’t spoken to anyone that actually has them. Thank you.
This is the first channel that I’ve ever subscribed to and Lite Brite is the second. You both scratch an itch. I was elated to see you both hook up. Cheers!
Again... Super Awesome Brad... Great to see You partner up with Kev and Brit... Had to be a really Great Time... And Your right... Don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing Marco and his Cooking! 😃
Love this channel. One piece of gear I never leave without is work gloves. Good for campfires, handling wood/gear, cleaning up camp, everything! Also, Marco, you rule. Thank you all for great and informative content!
What a great set of videos! For a novice like me I learn so much; you folks really make my day! Thank you for all the work and personality you put into these vids. My WK would not make some of those obstacles on its 32" tires (Milesatar Patagonia M/T - thank you K&B Williams !) and only a 2" lift, but I'd love to get up there!
I follow Kevin and Brittney and I love their channel . Of course I follow and love your channel also Brad .Marco's cooking always looks sooo good . I would like to meet all of you someday . Just got through watching lite brites video of your awesome adventure together. Take care !!!
I fully support the cookbook idea I love the cooking videos that you put out so far with Marco I made my own chimichurri sauce it was delicious on some toast
Brad nice job. I like the fact fact that you realized you are blessed to do what you do, not everyone has that opportunity, life can be tough- so it is good to hear folks really appreciate their life and opportunities. OK Marco are you kidding me. Dang that looked good. Today where I live it is -59 below. Clothing is everything and making sure one gets it right is the one thing that is a must in this country. People depend on their rides too much, but clothing and water (like you said) is the hidden secret to being prepared.
I stumbled upon your channel late last night. I've been binge watching your vids almost all day . Great vids , great friends and good times ! cheers !!!
Im not trying to sale anything, but let your buddy know who is sleeping in the cot tent, he mentioned his back was killing him. My wife who is prior Marine, served in the late 80's has back problems now as well as scoliosis. She has back issues that won't quite. We started camping in Hammocks several years ago now, and that has helped her tremendously, I am only mentioning it to him since he stetted back issues. I know hammocks odnt sound comfortable, and again, I am not sponsored by henessee hammocks but that have been a game changer for us and hammock camping is basically our main way yo camp anymore. Thanks for the fun video and if you ever have the chance to post a link to your other buddies, foldable camp grill, share it with me, that looks like it would fit our camping needs as well. I have been using a larger disco for almost a year now, the smaller one for the jeep camping would be great. Thanks again for all your effort you put into sharing all the videos with us, it is very useful and helpful. Thanks again and have a blessed week my friend. Dale
Great video! Glad to see y'all joining forces. Think you and Marco need to do a camping cooking channel lol! Thanks for putting all the time and effort into these videos. Definently help us new Jeepers with ideas.
Cool to see these two channels meeting up! We enjoy both channels and hope to meet you guys on the trail one day! I've learned a lot of great tips watching both channels and have implemented a few into my own videos! Keep Wheeling!
A must have for my wife and I is a pop-up toilet/shower along with a 5 gallon solar shower bag. Just hang the bag in the sun while wheeling and it heats up the water and it also is an emergency water supply if ever needed. When you have been out wheeling and camping for a few days you really love it when you can scrub off the dust ,dirt, wood smoke and grime and my wife loves the 'privacy when using the 'bathroom'. Our toilet is a compact Highlander model with disposable bio-degradable bags. Everything folds into a small space saving package And that is important in our 1997 TJ.
Brad love your Jeep and your wife’s too. Been watching your channel for a while and didn’t realize how tall you are. Everyone that has met you says you’re an awesome man
Former Marine here that watches your channel all the time. Semper Fi devil doc. I'd say the thing I can't live without on the trail is a good 2L Camelback. Haven't found something not worth taking yet, but we do pack very light and I'm an essentials guy.
Hey Lite Brite, of course we know y'all too. Kevin, I have to check out that tent. Oh me, Marco, I've already eaten, but!! I hungry! I've never been overlanding, but camping since I was a puppy. A toilet. Gotta have. My ThermaRest pad. Used it on rocky Alaska ground over a week, love it. Over the years, I've eliminated stuff I don't use, but I am noted for taking too much mess! Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it, is my motto.
Love it !!! Joint up!!! You guys are haveing so much fun!!! (things I allways take with me here in CO is a Gerber aka multi tool, duck-tape, eletric tape, and bailing wire. ) few tools but I never go off road with out it!!! Keep it up and stay safe!!!
Hey Brad, great video that hits home. I think most of us have purchased items thinking we could not live without it, only to put it away in the garage to collect dust. BTW, as of late I seem to focus more on Marco's cooking, and taking notes.
Awesome!!! Very good video Brad. You're such a professional and nice to see the collaboration with the Lite Brite channel. I'll also agree on the Marco camping chef channel :)
Great video, love how everybody does camping different, and how different their Jeeps are set up!!! Impressed to see the JL’s outnumbered the sole JK, and they are all very capable!!!
Love these kinda vids, thanks mate :) 1) Must have = fridge!! Currently rolling with a Waeco CFX65DZ 2) Do without = Misc lighting. Am onboard the ryobi train for most of my tools and have a bunch of batteries so between the ryobi lights and the leds strips in the JK no more mucking about!
Hands down, the best jeep channel on RU-vid. Love watching these vids and so inspiring....really useful content in every video. Great work as always. Just got my first jeep (2dr jl rubi w/ soft top). Plan to keep it mostly stock, and no rock crawling for me....FOR NOW. :)
Great place to camp. One of my favorites. We ALL should incorporate more cooking on the trail. Must have on camping trip is ribeye. Water is also good.
Cast iron skillet/ Dutch Oven are my favorite things to have. Thing I don’t pack anymore is a Zipo lighter. Disposable lighters don’t leak in your pocket, cheap to buy, and you’re not pissed you loose them.
Love your channel Brad ...and Marco is KING on the grill! I'm very cautious when it comes to adventure, experience and age guide me. I observe every single aspect of everything I'm interested in, I don't rely on luck, I trust experience. In my 50 years of living I will be the last person to jump into an unsafe movement or an untested environment. Instinct and common sense are my Allies. Foolhearted shenanigans are for the ignorant and inexperienced. A Keen eye on circumstance is worth it's weight in gold. A fool willing to sacrifice ego for safety will hurt more than himself, and that is unacceptable in my book...again, love your channel sir!!! Anxiously awaiting Marco's cookbook!!!!!!
I am also new to the Jeeping world also to overlanding. But I have a nicely equipt JK with a new RTT for me and my daughter to use soon on the East coast i really need to learn how to cook like Marco!
So stoked to see Lite Brite on here. Started watching Trail Recon as my first Jeep channel (you should ask for sales commission on my JLU Sport), different styles of driving, but definitely similar vibe of focusing on the fun first. What's your favorite time of year to hit the trails? I'm up in the Northeast and I gotta head out West sometime! Currently the road conditions are basically off-roading around here 😂
@@TrailRecon Haha I imagine you guys all help sell a few a year at least! Any reason for spring? Would have figured winter just because of mild temps during the day, but then again I'd imagine it still gets chilly at night once the sun goes down. Never actually been to a desert before so I'm just going off what I've read. Looks absolutely beautiful every time you go, that's for sure!
Great video as always. Love your channel, I have learned so much. Love the people you go with. It gets a little warm in the summer where I live, so our window for camping is late Oct/early Nov until around April. Two things we can't live without is the toilet (exact same one as Joe and Kim) and the buddy heater. One thing we stopped bringing was ALL of our cast iron. We limit what we bring now. Keep up the great work!
I really look forward to these videos and get excited when a new one post. Super great videos thanks, it looked like a blast and Marco seems like a really cool guy.
Great Video, I really appreciate seeing two of my favorite RU-vidr collaborating. I will treat my Jeep like I do Alpine Climbing (the human kind.....btw the folks on the wire are slack lining) weight is Everything!! I will consider the weight of an item and it’s value/requirement for every trip I take. Lite brites video shows the difference of how a heavy rig handles vs a light one. Weight has an impact on acceleration, braking and fuel consumption. Lower fuel consumption requires less fuel packed on a long trail. Pack water filtration not 5 gallons of water ( I live in the NW water is plentiful most places). Share/ designate group gear, one person brings hand tools, one person brings cooking, one person brings common spares, and so on. If you didn’t use it on your previous 3 trips and it’s not safety related, leave it at home....you can get by with way less then you think!
Great to see ya'll get together. Met you Brad and Marco at Jeep Bash. Suppose to meet Kev and Brit and Michael at KOH. Your other friends in the JL w/coil overs, Was his Jeep in the 4Lowrocks video recently? Also Brad are you coming to KOH? Take care all... great community!
My must have for any outdoors trip (besides a pistol) is a bag of McDonalds hamburgers. I'm talking about the original hamburger you get for $1 (a bag of them will last 6 months!). They are my "survival food" for whenever I'm out in the wild. They are good for whenever I need a snack. And they clean up real easy, just toss the paper wrapper in the trash! lol What I've gotten rid of are my old pup tent (have a roomy one now) and my old-school bulky sleeping bag.
Great video Brad, enjoyed the on site reviews of the trail Recon team’s must haves and don’t use anymore. This should give some insights for those of us carrying gear on the trail of take what you need and leave the dead weight home.
I love Lite-Brite but everything with them is we love our (sponsored item) we couldn’t live without it!! Also our (sponsored item) by so and so is amazing. Our favorite accessory is our (sponsored item) you have try one for yourself. All the pushing of sponsored items they have on their Jeep they got for free gets a little old.
Truth. I enjoy the installs they does far as learning about the product and how it goes on. What I can't stand is Kevin's "always have to be on" goofy shit and that they get SO many products for free
Just the couple I had in mind in a comment I made earlier today. They do some extremely awesome stuff with their Rubicon, but, and this is my opinion, they beat the hell out of their Jeep. I was their age years ago. I quit beating my various vehicles at about the age of twenty-two when I got married and was in the Navy. (I drove Land Rovers in those days and for many years thereafter.) Kevin and Britney have made quite a few interesting videos, but I hate seeing the abuse they often put their vehicle to. Wonderful job on your videos, and great job with K&B's, too. Thanks for these excellent videos of yours that I've been watching this morning. Andy McKane, Molokai, Hawaii.
You definitely have your Jeep set up great I envy you but little by little I am getting there. . I live in Colorado and do a lot of winter off-roading so I have to have a lot of different things but I really enjoy the winter off-roading. You have a great channel.i am always getting new information from it. Thank you very much
Must have: friends or my dog! great company is the best thing to have when out exploring! Things I don't really use anymore: tent! I just sleep in my Jeep now-a-days!
Thanks for this video! we got some great ideas from both yours and Lite Brite's video! Our TJ Jeep may not work for most but we saw and learned a lot for our Dirty Dog!
Great vid. I just got into overlanding last year so these have been some great learnings. Item I must bring now is my Hennessey hammock. I used to be a tent guy but became converted. Item I no longer bring (other then ground tent) as much cook wear. Used to have a full set but after a few trips all I find my self using is my cast iron skillet and 1 small sauce pot to boil water
Must have - Air Mattress. Camping is about having fun. Waking up with a sore back is not fun. I don't use an ice chest any more. Water doesn't need to be cold. Pack and cook nonperishable food. Ramen. Uncle Ben's Rice. Vienna Sausages. Bag of bread. Just to name a few. Instead of an ice chest, I bring a 7 gallon jug of water.
Would love to a whole episode dedicated to Marco, like types of meals he like to cook on the trail and most importantly how he comes up with some of the amazing food he cooks. Oh and how we can schedule a overland with him. Lol
The one thing I must have with me on trips like these is my buddy, Rosco, my 4 year old Rottweiler who has been every where with me since he was a puppy. One thing I found I don't need anymore is my freezer. I can do just fine with my ARB fridge.
I am like you Brad. My wife and I have to have our morning coffee. We use a jet boil stove and a percolator pop. Our coffee choice is Black Rifle Coffee Silencer Smooth. We have camped for years, and we rarely carry extra fuel.
Two of the jeep channels I frequent, worth the watch, still favor TrailRecon even if I am from Colorado too :) Their skid install video may have been one of my favorites.
We camp in Mostly Montana and Wyoming... but having a place to be dry is most important to me, so I have several tarps along that I use for awnings, or if I have to do a repair in snow I use it over the snow to stay dry. If it's real windy, I use the tarps to build a wind break near the Jeep to sit in. Stuff I don't bring any longer... the heavy propane or coleman fuel lanterns. All solar LED lights now. Got some vids of Montana trails too...
You guys really lucked out having Marco has part of your traveling group, his rig looks really heavy with all that gear, but I'm sure you guys are glad he makes it work... keeps showing his cooking tips, awesome!
