Have you ever camped in an electric car before? If yes, share your experience and any tips and tricks below. If you have never tried it, would you want to give it a shot in the future and see if it's for you? Let me know in the comments below.
I try to choose hotels with EV charging, but in this town they only have two and they were fully booked. I also hope that one day more hotels will invest in Level 2 charging. If they do, EV drivers like myself would choose to stay there. Thanks for the idea, might do a comparison in the future.
Once you do let me know how you liked it. It’s like glamping for us, beats staying out in a tent, Tesla camping is much better. If you want to elevate your experience you can invest in a Model 3 mattress that covers the whole trunk area as well as window shades. You can find both easily on Google.
My wife and son get cold easily so they like to keep the heat up. If it were up to me, I would leave the fans on and set the temperature to around 18 and be comfortable in a sleeping bag. But this also shows that even with heat on you lose about 1% of battery capacity per hour, which is amazing. I will have to try the same thing in the middle of summer with A/C on and see if there is a difference in consumption.
