Off to Port Alfred we go for the long weekend ! We woke up super early to get there as soon as possible, put the boards on the roof and hit the road with the sun rising. We set up camp right on the Kowie river at a place called Willows Caravan Park, directly across from the Marina with quick and easy access to the beach. After an unsuccessful surf mission on the first day we took a free Game drive which is a popular route as it borders some of the well-known Big Five game reserves in the area. We saw some interesting animals but unfortunately not the lion Michael was hoping for. The next day we woke up and headed straight for the beach where we enjoyed coffee then suited up for a surf. Spent the day on the beach and ended it off with a sunset paddle around the marina and under the big bridge.
