CAMPING in the Heavy Rain - STORM - RAIN - THUNDER - TENT Camping 

Abel I'm disabled broke back neck hit by tanker on highway 70 mph. I can't back pack, have one to store, carry gear in jeep. So my gears cheaper, heavy rr, but it's great for me. Been collecting gear ten years now. I like tents, Bushcraft, tarps, all the fun stuff. So if I watch leave a comment. Don't feel compelled to leave comments. I'm disabled lots free time. You guys are a joy to watch. I'm 57 now. 1 big blood clott. 10 years ago, 3 heart attacks 1.5 years. I'm healing steady moving up on! Yea video of your great learning for me. 😊❤

As a Brit now living in Christchurch NZ, my favourite dunking biscuit is a milk Chocolate Hobnob, you can get them in some of our supermarkets, but a chocolate digestive is certainly a second best. Happy camping folks, love it.

Really love to see you together in all you do. Reminds me of my husband and myself when we were young and able to be hyper-active. Those days are gone as is my husband. He passed in 2020. But you renew my spirit of adventure every time I see you. You make my 77 year old body it is still possible for me until your adventure ends and reality sets back end. I am from the west coast of Canada, if it rains and I don't want to go outside I never would. Point is, no such thing as bad weather, get better gear and go outside. Thank you so much for your movies, enjoy the outdoors.

In the US, many folks tend to differentiate between Franks, Weiners and Sausage. Franks are typically Beef, Weiners are a mix of beef, chicken and pork and sausages have similar ingredients but usually larger and differ in seasoning. All make good hot dogs imo. Oh, BTW, if you can pick it up and eat it with your hands, there aren't enough toppings on it 🙂

Great little gas cooker. The ones in UK have the gas canister attached underneath so that they are part of a fixed unit - this makes the whole thing top heavy and unstable when there's a kettle or pan on top.

Hi guys, sorry to hear that you both had an awful stomach bug and glad to see and hear that you are over it and back out enjoying what you like to do best, camping. We have just returned from a 7night camping holiday in our south west of Western Australia. The weather was perfect for camping ranging from 24-30 in the glorious coastal town of Busselton. Our bird visitors were ducks from the camping ground lake and bunny rabbits but they mostly kept their distance and were amusing to watch. We drove around to many of the local towns (Margaret River) you may have heard about that coastal town because of the surfing and it’s a wine region (got plenty of walking exercise) including walking the longest jetty out to sea in the Southern Hemisphere 4 klms all up , the Busselton Jetty. What we love is that although it’s in the country side it’s also coastal so the best of both worlds. You seemed to enjoy your meals as much as we did and we had similar food to eat as you do when camping but we did frequent about 5 Bakeries in each little town that we visited 😂. Anyway enough about us so thanks again for sharing your wet, cold camping video with us and lovely to see you both again. My favourite biscuits are Arnott’s Granitas, Chocolate Digestives, Shortbreads and Arnotts Scotch Fingers. My hubby loves Arnott Ginger Nuts. Thanks for asking Victoria, cheers from Perth W.A.

I’ve seen Luke use 3 tarps at times … 1 overhead and 2 smaller ones as walls in wind & cold/wet circumstances. Abel - you’re a great igniter of camp fires in miserable conditions. You could probably light the ocean aflame!! tc

Hey guys, love your videos. Question! Is there a trick to having the fire semi under the tarp without melting it? Always wanted to try rain camping but I’m convinced I’ll burn everything to the ground 🫠 Also, are the Nationals in NZ a conservative government?

You should bring one or two more tarps than you normally do to be put up to block wind, rain and/or snow. You’ll be much more comfortable and cozy. Also, lower them closer to the ground like Luke does with the outdoor gear review as needed. AB Camping does this sometimes too.
